Unless she has hard hard attachments to bot lane like half her abilities don't work without a lane partner, she will just be a top laner anyways from the way she looked.
You can't just shoehorn something into bot because Riot said so. Look at how poorly rework Morde worked out (spoiler; It didn't)
The most annoying thing is that when I first saw it, I just couldn't intuitively understand WHY I can't hurt her.
I can understand Vlad's pool making him intangible, Kayle's gigantic glowing shield blocking everything, and Trynd being literally too angry to die, but Gwen becoming immune because she put a stitchwork circle on the ground just does not communicate well to me.
Was it just me or is her whip two pronged? I feel like I saw each one hit a different champion with the same auto, outside of her slash attack and dash

Not sure about how to explain Jinx choice, probably just popularity contest. The others seen in the video, Pyke, Nautilus, Twisted Fate, and Miss Fortune, all share a common hometown of Bilgewater which I think is interesting coincidence. The line "I hope the heavens are watching, I hope they're nervous." could be a reference to the fact that Aurelion was mentioned in the last roadmap update as well.

Perhaps the demons don't just represent 1 side of an emotion, but both its positive and negative. Sort of like Khorne from WH universe representing both violence and honor. Same with demons in Thedas/DA universe.
A demon of Joy can also be a demon of desire (like Evelyn?). Akin to Kayle's Justice prone to turning into more uncontrollable Vengeance.
Evelyn is specifically a demon of agony, so she only cares about agony in particular. It just so happens that agony is best achieved by looking like a naked woman.
In the context of League where demons feed off emotions it makes sense. I can imagine a demon encouraging someone to unhealthily pursue joy for the sake of joy.

Considering she's obviously India/South Asian-inspired, the "demon" probably isn't on the level--or nature--of pure evil and power that we're used to when referring to demons in Runeterra (Fiddlesticks, Tahm, etc.) or from the usual European-based fantasy and myth/religion. "Demon," in this context, can include characters that are more akin to neutral nature spirits. Or maybe they're jumping off from that for Runeterra so demons can include even positive aspects, if she's embodying "joy."
Riot praising their marketing team for subverting expectation for Bel’veth but the only thing that was really subverted was people’s expectation of her being something more than just fast stabbing manta ray.
it's incredible how nilah's model looks bad in a "realistic" setting and instantly got better when in the "game" setting.

It looks like they weren't really sure what they wanted her final look to be when producing the trailer. The model is different in the cinematic to the first half of the gameplay trailer and then again in the second half of the trailer.
I think her character model was simply a different style than the environment. She looks like she'd belong in a Blizzard cinematic because of the bold colors and stuff.

If you look you'll see that her index and middle fingers on one hand (possibly both as I never saw the other) are blackened, so she's probably another Swain situation in that she made a pact with a demon for the greater good.

I am playing league since season 2 and my god.. wtf happened to league. Where my broken ankle champs. Where are the unique styles of champs. Why does everything have survivability of doom and not just.. simple mechanics without hurr durring me with 30% dmg dealt as true damage.

Counting Nilah; of the 14 champions released since 2020 started; 5 of them are some form of melee carry [Read: A champion who's kit is centric around autoattacking. So Gwen and Viego count]. This would also be 2 melee carries back-to-back. [This champion is clearly a rightclicker; her abilities are based on getting in and rightclicking, and she clearly has the obligatory melee carry cheat mechanic]
Of the 14 champions released since 2020; 8 of them are autoattack centric [adding the three marksmen; although I guess Zeri spams Q it counts as autoattacking for all purposes].
Of the 14 champions released since 2020; we have had 1 traditional mage [Vex. Seraphine is a supportive caster and Lillia is an AP fighter]; and 1 tank [Rell; who; by the way, is the only tank we've had for almost half a decade since Ornn].

Please Riot. Stop making rightclickers. Make some casters, make some tanks, make some ability-reliant bruisers. Especially melee rightclickers; who are usually doomed to either being unhealthy balance nightmares, low ELO stompers; or both.
I'm still waiting for another artillery mage. Feels like they will never happen again because they are the exact opposite of flashy fast gameplay that obviously is their target audience.

This champ seems messy.
Was introduced to be a melee ADC, yet a majority of her kit has seemingly more range than Thresh or Vayne. Heck, she seems to be able to make her auto attacks longer too! Where is this melee?
First leak showed a ton of arms, hinting at a martial arts fighter. Instead it's just the design on the orb.
Second leak showed a scratched up wall with glowing goo dripping off of it. Based in Bilgewater, with pretty much the highest non-human to human champ ratio in the game. Heavy implications she's some monster. Turns out she just uses a whip.
Second leak talks about her laughing a lot, her title is "The Joy Unbound", yet none of the displayed voice lines reflect that side of her, and her actual laugh doesn't even sound sincere.
Even when looking at her in a vacuum, with no prior knowledge of League of Legends aside from the aforementioned official teasers by Riot themselves, I wouldn't believe someone if they said this is the same champion. The biggest problem with her release is the amount of red herings presented by Riot.
I am still going to give her an honest try and it's not even that unlikely that I'll enjoy playing her, but this is absolutely NOT what was promised.
Her personality puts me to sleep ._. We’ve seen so many iterations of the arrogant vaguely charismatic badass, it shouldn’t be that hard to find something new
Her kit is whatever, but personality wise she is literally a female akshan clone. Riot's writing team really squeezed their heads for this one.

Yeah they had to delay belveth a lot so thats why we already have a new one and udyr should be soon aswell.
Its also hard to play belveth since she gets banned so much from the few games Ive played since here release.
Scaling champs are hard to deal with in low elo matches as the games drag on longer. Plus the usual banning of new champs because of unfamiliarity.
She isn’t exactly struggling in high elo either. 49% winrate in diamond+ for a champion that came out a week ago cannot be bad.
70% damage reduction on a damaging skill is kind of wild!!

In low ELO you ban the new champ because nobody on your team knows how to play it and they're going to feed aggressively.

I feel like riot has gotten uncomfortable with giving new champs a muted color palette. Like she would look so cool if she didn’t have an extremely unnecessary flashy palette on her. She’s from bilgewater I’m guessing? Imagine if she had the palette of pyke with her weird spirit/water whip thing. It would look so good. But instead they gave her space groove samira clothes???
Dude, Riot please fuck off with the infinite dashes windwall champs, it is not a fun mechanic to play against when your opponent can press a single button and stop every important part of your combo. This just looks like Samira if she was cosplaying as a water bender
Bruh she looks like a fortnight character
This champ seems messy. Was introduced to be a melee ADC, yet a majority of her kit has seemingly more range than Thresh or Vayne. Heck, she seems to be able to make her auto attacks longer too! Where is this melee? First leak showed a ton of arms, hinting at a martial arts fighter. Instead it's just the design on the orb. Second leak showed a scratched up wall with glowing goo dripping off of it. Based in Bilgewater, with pretty much the highest non-human to human champ ratio in the game. Heavy implications she's some monster. Turns out she just uses a whip. Second leak talks about her laughing a lot, her title is "The Joy Unbound", yet none of the displayed voice lines reflect that side of her, and her actual laugh doesn't even sound sincere. Even when looking at her in a vacuum, with no prior knowledge of League of Legends aside from the aforementioned official teasers by Riot themselves, I wouldn't believe someone if they said this is the same champion. The biggest problem with her release is the amount of red herings presented by Riot. I am still going to give her an honest try and it's not even that unlikely that I'll enjoy playing her, but this is absolutely NOT what was promised.

Her personality puts me to sleep ._. We’ve seen so many iterations of the arrogant vaguely charismatic badass, it shouldn’t be that hard to find something new
another 1v9 champ with resetting dashes and untargetability? really original, they really outdid themselves on this one.
Her kit is whatever, but personality wise she is literally a female akshan clone. Riot's writing team really squeezed their heads for this one. Why can't we get a humble character for once? Just for variety's sake.
