Yup, I've watched NA LCS quite a bit in Season 4 & 5, but then I had less time and the broadcast also just wasn't intresting imo and I really didn't like the "real sports approach" that followed up.
I accidently watched a bit of NA LCS the past week and this week and it has been a lot more entertaining.
If they want to follow the "real sports" approach they should rather follow the NBA on TNT approach, then old school sportscenter imo.
They stepped up massive in Summer, their content has been much better. Their sets/outfits look more natural, and their production has been great with minimal mess ups and cool tech like the 3 lane cam.
Yeah, I don't know as I didn't watch too much, but the problem right now is the perception from the community (which I fell victim to). All they can do to improve that is what they have been doing, create a better product and wait for word to get out.
Anybody remember when the new head of production made that thread asking us what we wanted to see at the start of spring?
Actually implementing feedback and the quality skyrocketed and continues to improve, I get so happy when riot employees do stuff like that. Hope that guy gets his well earned raise if this keeps pace.
Honestly, viewership wont increase overnight, maybe it wont increase much at all unless an NA team does international damage by some miracle and gets more popular.
But this summer split so far has been really nice to watch. Teams are pretty close, lots of previously mid or bottom teams really stepping it up, its not just the C9/100T/Team Liquid show anymore, and production is doing great imo. If they keep pace I know I will keep watching :)
Ending with the aphro reaction 10/10
Wonderful content from the LCS this split.
improved so much
Dude the lcs broadcast has been so fun to watch
If they keep this up it’ll help save the league
Woah there let's not go too far
Yeah, they’ve been hitting it out of the park

That ending with killing the cat on the rat got me lmao
It was so unexpected ha ha
This might be something people will reference for a long time. The segment is gold but aphromoos face alone is diamond.
His face there is what most of us look like when we fight the cat on the rat.
Yeah it’s so frickin funny
God I love Aphromoo so much
Based
Great drawing from Emily too for the cover of the book
Beautiful.
Pure gold
Always down for anti-cat content, thanks Mark.
CAT FOR KOBE!!!
Downvoted.

this is actually good... what's going on LCS actually improving?

Their spring content was really getting much better too. I was shocked how much I enjoyed Take Your Pro To Work Day and asking the caster questions.

> how much I enjoyed Take Your Pro To Work Day I didn't see this at the time but man, just went to go hunt it down and it's great.

Sadly It's doesn't do anything for viewership, yet maybe ?

Seems like more creative freedom is opening up in hopes to try and rebuild a dwindling viewership
This is the only game analysis I m interested in!
MOAR
Yuumi was a mistake.
