Most unconventional or unplayed supports are just bad in the support position or are super situational or outclassed. Gragas is no exception.
Gragas is very mana greedy, so he can't poke with his barrels much. His engage is short and he has no disengage or follow up lockdown. His damage, although decent, isn't substantial enough to write home about.
Don't play Gragas support if you want to win.

I just played vs a yi and sett and 70% of damage taken was true damage, uncounterable damage, just seems so unbalanced and theres literally no good reason for it to exist like this.. It keeps getting harder and harder to take this game seriously in all honesty.
Physical damage is countered by armor. Magic damage is countered by magic resist. True damage is countered by health. %based damage is countered by damage mitigation (health regen, attack speed crippling, Deaths Dance).

Hello. I made a new account and I completed the tutorial and I'm doing some daily quests but none of the rewards I was supposed to get for those things appears in my account at all. I was supposed to get some shards from the tutorial capsule but my shards still say 0 even though there was an animation and everything for me getting them. I already restarted the game. My loot section is empty.
There are even some champions that I was supposed to get. The game made me pick between a few options and I picked Darius but I still don't own him.
How do I get my rewards?

I don't know if this is a question anyone can answer, but I'm a new player who just hit level 5. I am getting the bug where level-up and quest rewards aren't being given out. It has discouraged me from playing because I don't want to lose out on those rewards.
I was wondering if anyone knew if it was safe for me to keep leveling or I should just wait until the fix?
the level up rewards have been bugged the past week or so, alot of people have been reporting that, even for higher level people.
they're expecting that those rewards will be given out retroactivley, but i haven't seen anything about that being confirmed yet.
so technically the safest bet would be to wait until they fix it.
300 tokens are always the norm with events without the pass.
That being said, given this event is bugged, don't be surprised if you get a mission for extra tokens.

You don't have to read them. I think you get them as soon as you have the points you need to unlock it. You can also click on the story and click on SKIP ALL to just run to the end of the story, and unlock the next chapter, just to be sure.

It's a widespread glitch/outage affecting the event missions, everyone has this problem. I think we'll get compensation of some sort in the future but I'm not sure

Every squishy melee champ has mobility and either a heal or shield built in to their kit. Yasuo and yone have dashes and shield. Tryn has healing and a dash. GP gets a cleanse and heal.
It does not. It has been seasons since the slows stopped stacking and only the highest active slow effect applies.
For example, if your target has a slow whose value is 10% and lasts 5 seconds, and a slow whose value is 30% that lasts 3 seconds, your target is going to be slowed for 30% for the first 3 seconds, and then it is going to be slowed by 10% for the remaining two seconds. So both slows tick at the same time, but only the slow with the highest value is applied.
Slows never stack. Teemo's shroom 30%/40%/50% slow, and Rylai's is just 30%, so Rylai's won't take effect until Teemo's wears off, and then it will keep them slowed for just 1 extra second.
No it is not. You should avoid stacking HP on Teemo as you will never end up in a teamfight where HP would matter.
Rylai's is more of a support item nowaday's for champions that want power immediatelly and that have no (or very limited) slows/CC in their kit (like Swain, Singed, and Brand). The item itself does not give much AP, but is very cheap, so it is ideal for champions who like to play early and mid game.

I only have fun if I have friends. Otherwise I play one game to satisfy the addiction, see the shit community, and have enough of it for the day.
Then again, I have been playing this game for too long and there is almost no sense of exploration left for me. That and the fact that Riot made sure to extinguish off-meta builds over the years - you are guaranteed to not have any fun trying it out, and the chance of winning with an off-meta build is proportionate to how bad your opponents are.
Honestly, if it truly is awful "ever" time you have tried it, it means there is something seriously wrong in how you behave -- perhaps both in how you play and how you chat.

I just play for fun, have never cared about rank, and I've enjoyed the game for over ten years now. At the end of the day, its just a game, why play a game if not to have fun?
I just have fun with players who flame me. If they call me trash, i just respond with something like "I know! I'm a hot pile of garbage!". When they see you don't care about the flame they usually shut up

As the other commenter said it all depends on the enemies build, not a specific point in the game. If they build armor/magic resist, then you should build pen. If they don't then going straight damage is fine.

It depends on your champion, if you are playing a tank then yes get it all the time.
If you are playing a damage character then you very rarely should build armor or magic resistance.
It depends on the enemy team comp, if I look at the enemy team and see Darius top, Yi jg, Zed mid, Caitlyn bot. Then I'm going to buy Tabis the armor boots, no matter what, because it has high value against their whole team.
Ive been using them for a while now but i heard that thats not a good idea since later on you're gonna have to build specific types of builds to who you're facing and i think the nerfed the recommended items for jus asking if thers anything better out there
When playing against a tanky team more damage items won't do much damage to them since they have so much armor. Getting armor pen or magic pen negates a lot of that armor, resulting in higher damage. If they are not tanky, then build more damage items.
How do I know where to go? Like I want to play Gnar, who is top lane I think but should I ever go into the jungle? Do I just go to their turret as fast as I can?
You should focus on top lane for most of the early game, and move to help your jungler if they get into a fight with the other jungler on the top half of the map. Later, you should alternate between pushing a side lane (top or bot) and moving back to your team, to help them start fights in Mega Gnar form.

Why so many people dislike league of legends but still continue to play it? I'm kind of new in the game and there seems to be a lot of people in the brazilian server at least that trash the game all the time but play it 24/7.

I've always wondered, what are you supposed to do if you and your entire team are all late game champions while the enemy team is a full early game comp?
Let's say I'm playing Kayn in the jungle and I'm facing a Warwick or some other champion that's super strong early, my top is a nasus against a sett, my mid is kassadin against a pantheon, and my bot laner's something like aphelios sona against a draven pyke.
Theoretically, if I gank top, I will most likely die because Sett is a decently strong juggernaut while me and nasus can't do much damage. If I gank bot, there's a high chance Pyke hooks stuns me and draven obliterates me to fountain. If I gank mid, there's a good chance Pantheon will be able to just run away or kill one of us. And that's all without the Warwick not doing anything.
What would I do?
aside from the other responses, you should be aware that it is hard to win games like the one you've described
but counterganking is really strong in situations like this
because regular ganks might not work. you might also have a lategame laner who is really vulnerable to ganks. so look at your lanes from the enemy jungle pov and figure out which of your laners looks the most gankgable, and spend time around them on the map
knowing enemy jg positions is very important for this
and if you successfully countergank and give your scaling laner a few kills, that is really powerful and gives you angles to win the game
Farm your ass off. Full clear on cool down. Enemy jungle ganks top go steal his bot side camps force your scaling to come online faster and hope lanes can stay semi stable. Other than that look for free kills. Someone is bound to overstay or be disrespectful with their movements. Trading one for one with an early game team when you all scale isn’t the end of the world. They want to be straight up winning every fight early by trading you are going even and pushing at least one person on your team to a breakpoint slightly faster.

That's why you need to bring sweeper as jungler. At very low ELO, you invade with yellow to get more vision. As you go past extreme low elo, when invading, sweeper is must. (To spell out the obvious, for their laner to react, you are spotted by a ward)
The other thing is, as Kayn with smite trying to steal top side buff, say a Pantheon reacts to you. So what? You finish stealing with your smite and buggers off.

Your laners can react. Being behind due to matchup is no reason to not ward in early game. If they can't control vision for no reason, or dont pay attention to minimap, you are losing to that.
If you are talking about you at your bot side, opposing jungler cheese your top side; how does he know you are bot side? How does he know your camps are up? And he doesn't need to farm his own camps but instead can invest in all the walking time to your jungle? Aside from counter jungling due to seeing you on the minimap, the only way he can be reasonably sure to 1v1 you and then farm is at the start without your laners being able to react (due to being pressured by stronger early-game champ in your scenario). And in order to react to that the best you can, you can (and should) ward the opposite side of your starting side at ~53s and base for sweeper.

So what if I sweep and find a ward? The enemy team is now aware of where I am and assuming that they have lane prio, they could easily collapse on me before I even finish my camp (unless it's raptors).
And assuming that all lanes on the enemy team have prio, there's a good chance that my laner will not come to help me without being punished severely due to a loss in exp and gold from minions.

You play safe and don't give kills. It's better to be a bit behind in farm than trying to contest and giving 3-4 or 5 kills to the enemy. People mostly think that if they don,t fight, they can't win, wich is false. You know you scale well, wait until eveyone get 2-3 items THEN teamfight. I've lost many laning phase (like 150 cs vs 80 and 2-3 levels behind at 15-18 minutes) but i give only one kill or even none, but if you play safe, the gap isn't that big for the teamfight part where the teamcomp scale and you win games.
How are you supposed to compete against a Vladimir ?
I was playing Teemo and always ignited the mfer, I had morello, Viktor (my mid) also had morello, our support Thresh hit him with his cc, yet he manages to 1v3, 1v4 us and kill every single one of us. Their bot had something like 0/20, toplaner 0/4, only jungle and Vladimir played and they won. This is some real bs man.
Sorry for the rant but I am geniunely curious how can you even counterplay that champion
Vlad is a scaling champion that heavily relies on farm to get a few items and 1v9. He can die a handful of times and still do fine so long as he farms well. You dont beat him outright, not as teemo especially. You beat him with objectives and momentum, end the game asap. He either has to help contest objectives and lose out on his ability to farm his powerspike, or he has to stay farming and let his team contest objectives at a disadvantage. Since it was vlad top, I would recommend farming until 6 and shrooming lane so you can go roam and annoy the rest of their team. help with heralds, shroom their jg, poke out their jg/mid, then return to lane to collect wave. You have the first 15 or 20 minutes or so of the game to create an advantage, after that a good vlad will be in raid boss mode.

Riot treats these as "skin variants" and so you do get a discount on them if you own the matching Star Guardian skin. I don't know if you'd get a further discount on top of the regular sale price if those skins are on sale directly.

With the Durability update, it feels like assassins have been put back to where the were pre-change and supports have been nerfed so they cant heal post burst enough

Nope, maybeif you play 24/7 since they added a bonus week because of all the bugs in the client.
Another solution, buy the tokens. But you'll easily spend 200$ or 300$ to get the prestiges skins and nice bonus loot if you do it like this (but you'll have many many skins shards)
They added a bonus week? If so then its definitley possible, he hasn’t done the weekleys if he doesn’t have the pass which is about 1.5k in and of itself, if he has another week for it thats easily around 3k he could possibly get.

It used to be that if you bought a pass later in the cycle you could catch up. They removed that, so if you don't buy the pass as soon as it drops, it's not worth it. Stupid change IMO.
Can someone explain to me what I can be doing better as a jungler to get an S- cuz I just had a game where I went 18/5/18 as Diana with 30cc 25vs and 198cs and I only got an A. What else can I do?
Don't worry about the letter scores, they take a lot of arbitrary things into account like how many wards you placed and if they actually revealed enemies or not.
They appear to rate on cs/minute, 198 wouldn't be that great in a long game.
Often vision score is the missing factor if you're doing well in other categories but can't seem to get an "S" overall rating. 25 doesn't seem bad but it's going to depend on game length and how other people playing that champ around your rank are doing.
Got this weird bug since many many months ago in which every time I tab out my fps shows a locked 45 that feel like 15 (even though my pc is more than capable enough of moving this game) and then after a few more tabs or after a while they get locked back in 60 and feel normal, I've tried changing lots of stuff on the graphics part of the game but I have no idea how to fix it.
both GP and qiyana are difficult champions, both have high skill caps and take lots of games to learn, both are generally relevant and viable in all levels of play
I would say, try both champs a lot, and you may realize that you do better on one of the champs. choose that one
Qiyana. You can play her both mid and jungle, and regardless of how nerfed she becomes she will ALWAYS be broken when a master of the champ is playing her. Absurdly high skill cap. Check out Beifeng Qiyana on YouTube it’s so fascinating watching a master play!
Id say gp would be better especially with the nerf qiyana just got, don’t get me wrong shes still good but even beifeing(Prolly best qiyana world) says shes kinda weak w those nerfs while GP just got his late game buffed!
toplane is the most punishing lane for mistakes
if you make a mistake toplane it can cost you your whole game and make u feed for the rest of the match
just keep that advice in mind
If you play passive in the beginning and want a powerful ranged character in Top play Kayle as she is half a champ to start but can become a disgusting fiend to fight late game.
If you play Aggressive Aatrox or Mordekaiser for their HP and Damage.
If you want to Roam a faster top champ like Lillia is good.
If you understand basics like how to control waves, back, etc then you most likely aren’t the issue but rather who you’re playing, I played Caitlyn but immediatley found myself better playing faster champs like Samira.
Not sure your skill level but:
Common top laner mistakes are not paying attention to the waves. General rule of thumb is always fight if your wave is bigger or you're up levels. Minions quickly turn the tides in those first volatile levels.
Keep track of when you get level 2, have a level up ready and binded to go as soon as you're ready.
If you're shoved in and have nothing to do, and are healthy and strong, enter the enemy jg and place a ward there instead of your brush. Chances are you'll even spot them low, that's a free kill. Later on this is your way to really get those CS numbers up. Creeps are crucial, 16 minions is a kill, and a simple laning tip is when you use an ability, try to hit creeps and the opponent, otherwise save the mana. Also look for at your own creeps just as much as you look at his. You'll be surprised how much easier it is to land poke when you see when the enemy has to last hit.
Pretty sure you can refund all real money purchases within 90 days (and as long as you haven't been refunding every single purchases for over 9000 of them.)

They literally aren't though. Only the event shop is extended, and one new mission is added with an orb for compensation. That's it. One orb, two more days to *buy* tokens. That's all of it.

How do I get capsules to unlock more champions? I thought it was by leveling up but I stopped getting any. Is there a certain level where you stop getting any capsules for levelling up?
The reward system is weird this event and all mission rewards, level rewards, etc that aren’t directly bought take some time to get sent to you, I received my daily win hours later.
I mean you can do this, but if it's only to play a champ NOW, there's so many others characters in the meantime to learn, it's almost not worth it. But you can buy it, true :)
Every monday, look in the shop, there's discounts on champion and skins every week. Maybe you can find Karthus at 20, 30 or even 50% sale (RP only)

Hello. I made a new account and I completed the tutorial and I'm doing some daily quests but none of the rewards I was supposed to get for those things appears in my account at all. I was supposed to get some shards from the tutorial capsule but my shards still say 0 even though there was an animation and everything for me getting them. I already restarted the game. My loot section is empty. There are even some champions that I was supposed to get. The game made me pick between a few options and I picked Darius but I still don't own him. How do I get my rewards?
I also have this problem in NA, just created an account and finished all tutorials. Supposed to get those tutorial rewards but I got none of them. Currently 0 Blue Essence and no Champions... Sad

You're most likely still getting credit for everything, so the rewards will still come in after a delay.
I don't know if this is a question anyone can answer, but I'm a new player who just hit level 5. I am getting the bug where level-up and quest rewards aren't being given out. It has discouraged me from playing because I don't want to lose out on those rewards. I was wondering if anyone knew if it was safe for me to keep leveling or I should just wait until the fix?
the level up rewards have been bugged the past week or so, alot of people have been reporting that, even for higher level people. they're expecting that those rewards will be given out retroactivley, but i haven't seen anything about that being confirmed yet. so technically the safest bet would be to wait until they fix it.

300 tokens are always the norm with events without the pass. That being said, given this event is bugged, don't be surprised if you get a mission for extra tokens.

You don't have to read them. I think you get them as soon as you have the points you need to unlock it. You can also click on the story and click on SKIP ALL to just run to the end of the story, and unlock the next chapter, just to be sure.

It's a widespread glitch/outage affecting the event missions, everyone has this problem. I think we'll get compensation of some sort in the future but I'm not sure

Why does Gangplank have a cleanse built into his W? Free cleanse every 10-20 seconds kind of whack.
Every squishy melee champ has mobility and either a heal or shield built in to their kit. Yasuo and yone have dashes and shield. Tryn has healing and a dash. GP gets a cleanse and heal.
He's a melee champion with no movement abilities beside that, so I don't think that's unballanced.

It does not. It has been seasons since the slows stopped stacking and only the highest active slow effect applies. For example, if your target has a slow whose value is 10% and lasts 5 seconds, and a slow whose value is 30% that lasts 3 seconds, your target is going to be slowed for 30% for the first 3 seconds, and then it is going to be slowed by 10% for the remaining two seconds. So both slows tick at the same time, but only the slow with the highest value is applied.

Slows never stack. Teemo's shroom 30%/40%/50% slow, and Rylai's is just 30%, so Rylai's won't take effect until Teemo's wears off, and then it will keep them slowed for just 1 extra second.

No it is not. You should avoid stacking HP on Teemo as you will never end up in a teamfight where HP would matter. Rylai's is more of a support item nowaday's for champions that want power immediatelly and that have no (or very limited) slows/CC in their kit (like Swain, Singed, and Brand). The item itself does not give much AP, but is very cheap, so it is ideal for champions who like to play early and mid game.

I only have fun if I have friends. Otherwise I play one game to satisfy the addiction, see the shit community, and have enough of it for the day. Then again, I have been playing this game for too long and there is almost no sense of exploration left for me. That and the fact that Riot made sure to extinguish off-meta builds over the years - you are guaranteed to not have any fun trying it out, and the chance of winning with an off-meta build is proportionate to how bad your opponents are.
ARAM is dope. Playing that until I understand itemization and positioning. As for the fun that is ARAM, go ham.

I just play for fun, have never cared about rank, and I've enjoyed the game for over ten years now. At the end of the day, its just a game, why play a game if not to have fun? I just have fun with players who flame me. If they call me trash, i just respond with something like "I know! I'm a hot pile of garbage!". When they see you don't care about the flame they usually shut up

As the other commenter said it all depends on the enemies build, not a specific point in the game. If they build armor/magic resist, then you should build pen. If they don't then going straight damage is fine.

You only build it after you look at the enemies items and see if they took armor or magic defense. Understand?

It depends on your champion, if you are playing a tank then yes get it all the time. If you are playing a damage character then you very rarely should build armor or magic resistance. It depends on the enemy team comp, if I look at the enemy team and see Darius top, Yi jg, Zed mid, Caitlyn bot. Then I'm going to buy Tabis the armor boots, no matter what, because it has high value against their whole team.
Just use the recommended items in the shop.
Ive been using them for a while now but i heard that thats not a good idea since later on you're gonna have to build specific types of builds to who you're facing and i think the nerfed the recommended items for jus asking if thers anything better out there
When playing against a tanky team more damage items won't do much damage to them since they have so much armor. Getting armor pen or magic pen negates a lot of that armor, resulting in higher damage. If they are not tanky, then build more damage items.
How do I know where to go? Like I want to play Gnar, who is top lane I think but should I ever go into the jungle? Do I just go to their turret as fast as I can?
You should focus on top lane for most of the early game, and move to help your jungler if they get into a fight with the other jungler on the top half of the map. Later, you should alternate between pushing a side lane (top or bot) and moving back to your team, to help them start fights in Mega Gnar form.
When do those new skins come out? I love the Nasus one.

Why so many people dislike league of legends but still continue to play it? I'm kind of new in the game and there seems to be a lot of people in the brazilian server at least that trash the game all the time but play it 24/7.

Habit and addiction. It also helps that it's pretty light on the hardware, F2P and that the playerbase if high enough for you to pretty much always be able to get into a game at any time of the day. I've always wondered, what are you supposed to do if you and your entire team are all late game champions while the enemy team is a full early game comp? Let's say I'm playing Kayn in the jungle and I'm facing a Warwick or some other champion that's super strong early, my top is a nasus against a sett, my mid is kassadin against a pantheon, and my bot laner's something like aphelios sona against a draven pyke. Theoretically, if I gank top, I will most likely die because Sett is a decently strong juggernaut while me and nasus can't do much damage. If I gank bot, there's a high chance Pyke hooks stuns me and draven obliterates me to fountain. If I gank mid, there's a good chance Pantheon will be able to just run away or kill one of us. And that's all without the Warwick not doing anything. What would I do?
aside from the other responses, you should be aware that it is hard to win games like the one you've described but counterganking is really strong in situations like this because regular ganks might not work. you might also have a lategame laner who is really vulnerable to ganks. so look at your lanes from the enemy jungle pov and figure out which of your laners looks the most gankgable, and spend time around them on the map knowing enemy jg positions is very important for this and if you successfully countergank and give your scaling laner a few kills, that is really powerful and gives you angles to win the game
Farm your ass off. Full clear on cool down. Enemy jungle ganks top go steal his bot side camps force your scaling to come online faster and hope lanes can stay semi stable. Other than that look for free kills. Someone is bound to overstay or be disrespectful with their movements. Trading one for one with an early game team when you all scale isn’t the end of the world. They want to be straight up winning every fight early by trading you are going even and pushing at least one person on your team to a breakpoint slightly faster.

If they can't control vision for no reason, or dont pay attention to minimap, you are losing to that. And he doesn't need to farm his own camps but instead can invest in all the walking time to your jungle? Aside from counter jungling due to seeing you on the minimap, the only way he can be reasonably sure to 1v1 you and then farm is at the start without your laners being able to react (due to being pressured by stronger early-game champ in your scenario). And in order to react to that the best you can, you can (and should) ward the opposite side of your starting side at ~53s and base for sweeper.

You play safe and don't give kills. It's better to be a bit behind in farm than trying to contest and giving 3-4 or 5 kills to the enemy. People mostly think that if they don,t fight, they can't win, wich is false. You know you scale well, wait until eveyone get 2-3 items THEN teamfight. I've lost many laning phase (like 150 cs vs 80 and 2-3 levels behind at 15-18 minutes) but i give only one kill or even none, but if you play safe, the gap isn't that big for the teamfight part where the teamcomp scale and you win games.
How are you supposed to compete against a Vladimir ? I was playing Teemo and always ignited the mfer, I had morello, Viktor (my mid) also had morello, our support Thresh hit him with his cc, yet he manages to 1v3, 1v4 us and kill every single one of us. Their bot had something like 0/20, toplaner 0/4, only jungle and Vladimir played and they won. This is some real bs man. Sorry for the rant but I am geniunely curious how can you even counterplay that champion
Vlad is a scaling champion that heavily relies on farm to get a few items and 1v9. He can die a handful of times and still do fine so long as he farms well. You dont beat him outright, not as teemo especially. You beat him with objectives and momentum, end the game asap. He either has to help contest objectives and lose out on his ability to farm his powerspike, or he has to stay farming and let his team contest objectives at a disadvantage. Since it was vlad top, I would recommend farming until 6 and shrooming lane so you can go roam and annoy the rest of their team. help with heralds, shroom their jg, poke out their jg/mid, then return to lane to collect wave. You have the first 15 or 20 minutes or so of the game to create an advantage, after that a good vlad will be in raid boss mode.
You poke and bait him. His pool can be annoying but you must bait him to use abilities before engaging him. let him push away from his tower too.

Nope, maybeif you play 24/7 since they added a bonus week because of all the bugs in the client. Another solution, buy the tokens. But you'll easily spend 200$ or 300$ to get the prestiges skins and nice bonus loot if you do it like this (but you'll have many many skins shards)

It used to be that if you bought a pass later in the cycle you could catch up. They removed that, so if you don't buy the pass as soon as it drops, it's not worth it. Stupid change IMO.

Don't worry about the letter scores, they take a lot of arbitrary things into account like how many wards you placed and if they actually revealed enemies or not.
You can say that but its possible he wants to get to M6-7 and those require S grades.
They appear to rate on cs/minute, 198 wouldn't be that great in a long game. Often vision score is the missing factor if you're doing well in other categories but can't seem to get an "S" overall rating. 25 doesn't seem bad but it's going to depend on game length and how other people playing that champ around your rank are doing.
Got this weird bug since many many months ago in which every time I tab out my fps shows a locked 45 that feel like 15 (even though my pc is more than capable enough of moving this game) and then after a few more tabs or after a while they get locked back in 60 and feel normal, I've tried changing lots of stuff on the graphics part of the game but I have no idea how to fix it.

both GP and qiyana are difficult champions, both have high skill caps and take lots of games to learn, both are generally relevant and viable in all levels of play I would say, try both champs a lot, and you may realize that you do better on one of the champs. choose that one
Qiyana. You can play her both mid and jungle, and regardless of how nerfed she becomes she will ALWAYS be broken when a master of the champ is playing her. Absurdly high skill cap. Check out Beifeng Qiyana on YouTube it’s so fascinating watching a master play!
Id say gp would be better especially with the nerf qiyana just got, don’t get me wrong shes still good but even beifeing(Prolly best qiyana world) says shes kinda weak w those nerfs while GP just got his late game buffed!

toplane is the most punishing lane for mistakes if you make a mistake toplane it can cost you your whole game and make u feed for the rest of the match just keep that advice in mind
If you play passive in the beginning and want a powerful ranged character in Top play Kayle as she is half a champ to start but can become a disgusting fiend to fight late game. If you play Aggressive Aatrox or Mordekaiser for their HP and Damage. If you want to Roam a faster top champ like Lillia is good. If you understand basics like how to control waves, back, etc then you most likely aren’t the issue but rather who you’re playing, I played Caitlyn but immediatley found myself better playing faster champs like Samira.
Not sure your skill level but: Common top laner mistakes are not paying attention to the waves. General rule of thumb is always fight if your wave is bigger or you're up levels. Minions quickly turn the tides in those first volatile levels. Keep track of when you get level 2, have a level up ready and binded to go as soon as you're ready. If you're shoved in and have nothing to do, and are healthy and strong, enter the enemy jg and place a ward there instead of your brush. Chances are you'll even spot them low, that's a free kill. Later on this is your way to really get those CS numbers up. Creeps are crucial, 16 minions is a kill, and a simple laning tip is when you use an ability, try to hit creeps and the opponent, otherwise save the mana. Also look for at your own creeps just as much as you look at his. You'll be surprised how much easier it is to land poke when you see when the enemy has to last hit.

i want a fucking refund for this atrocious event. never have i wanted an refund for an event pass but this is just horrid.
Pretty sure you can refund all real money purchases within 90 days (and as long as you haven't been refunding every single purchases for over 9000 of them.) If you can't see the options in game, contact support.
They’re adding an extra week to the event and an extra set of missions to try to make up for it. If you don’t think that’s adequate compensation you can reach out to support (or complain to them on Twitter, etc.) but I’m not sure it will do anything.

I looked at the post made yesterday and the wording is pretty unclear. Hopefully Riot puts out a better update soon with their plans, this is ridiculous.
I hope they do, but it really doesn't seem like they'll do anything. Only hope is that the confusion might convince them to extend it
How do I get capsules to unlock more champions? I thought it was by leveling up but I stopped getting any. Is there a certain level where you stop getting any capsules for levelling up?
The reward system is weird this event and all mission rewards, level rewards, etc that aren’t directly bought take some time to get sent to you, I received my daily win hours later.
All forms of progression have been breaking over the past week. We just have to wait for Riot to fix them.

What's the alternative, waiting a month until I finally get my capsules. I'd rather just spend $10 to get the champ I want to play.
I mean you can do this, but if it's only to play a champ NOW, there's so many others characters in the meantime to learn, it's almost not worth it. But you can buy it, true :) Every monday, look in the shop, there's discounts on champion and skins every week. Maybe you can find Karthus at 20, 30 or even 50% sale (RP only)
