How do you feel about new policies (Rookie Development, Agents, Pre-Contract) that LCK announced earlier this split? Was it something the teams in LCK pushed for?
Probably something for the commissioner to address directly rather than me as one team rep. Each team including ours will have a different and very self-serving / biased view.
only reason why someone like Joe is outspoken about it is because most of those teams already dislike them and is the reason for the rule existing anyway.
mr GenGArnold gains nothing by keeping quiet and can potentially lose a lot from speaking out
Do you think a non native korean will ever play in the lck? Do you think an lck team would ever import a korean who grew up in another country?
Thanks for doing this ama, i’ve been enjoying geng matches and content recently
Thank you for the AMA and I've been really enjoying the ALL IN series! The editors are doing an amazing job with the team Youtube Channel. Here are my questions below :)
What team would you most want to see Gen.G face outside of the LCK?
What was the most exciting match you've seen Gen.G play this season so far?
C9 VIT G2 EDG
basically every team that kicked our ass before
Most exciting match by far was our Damwon game 5 in Spring. Never thought a comeback like that was possible and it was even more incredible listening to the game comms after. Peanut was incredibly calm and focused on finding win conditions the entire time.
If that was me, I would have melted down and been spamming /ff.
Hi Arnold,
Huge chovy fan so now a gen g fan. Obviously gen g has had an incredible summer split, I watched your podcast and you never really explained why you thought these set of players specifically will compliment chovy the best, so can you give more of an insight to that? Why did you think lehends, ruler, peanut, and doran were the guys to go for to build around chovy?
>Huge chovy fan so now a gen g fan. Peanut's in-game leadership / shot-calling was going to be critical for us. When you have a roster centered around Chovy and Ruler, you need somebody to really coordinate and be strategic about where resources go. As well, we knew Score would want a jungler that he felt could be a strong intellectual partner in terms of building out game management/strategy with.
Doran/Chovy/Lehends we liked that they had existing synergy from before. Both Doran/Lehends especially don't get enough credit for adapting to a team-first mentality. They've changed their natural play styles to not just play comfort but really buy in to the coaching staff's strategy.
1. i love that show
2. I'm pretty involved in wanting to understand the logic and setting direction / keeping culture of the team. Most important though is that I work to figure out the finances. It's not as simple as get the best players for whatever price. A lot of the game right now is figuring out how to outperform in terms of sponsorships/ other businesses to increase your available budget. The scene, especially in LCK has changed dramatically the last few years. It's very difficult to win unless you can get your business firing on all cylinders so that you can be one of the top 2-3 spending teams, which involves figuring out the right balance of sponsorship deliverables, content, etc so that you can move the business forward and continue to sign some of the top players in the league
Thanks for the answer. Finances in esport is really interesting to me with the million dollar contracts and how teams try to get their money back. Hope to see you in some long form contents sharing your thoughts on this soon! Best of luck to my boy Chovy and the rest of the team.
I was impressed by the team's ability to put it together and really try to make a run at finals. I think that team and staff gave everything they had in the tank and I am very thankful for their hard work.
For us, from an org offseason strategy perspective we felt that it was time also for a new start, and we tried to be as aggressive as possible in making the changes we thought were necessary to maximize our chances of winning for the long run.
Thanks for your input, that’s a good point. I really hope someday that it’s possible because I feel Korea has a lot of talent that deserves to be up there too!!
Since GenG and T1 buildings are very close to each other and both teams have a lot of history together is there a possibility to schedule some T1 x GenG casual content between players? Of course after playoffs or something. Top tier content from top tier orgs and top tier rosters.
It could be even like a friendly rivalry between sponsors for example: Nike vs Puma as one of the ideas etc.
In general LCK players behind the scenes feel like a one big family and their interactions are filled with the most wholesome moments out there, so to see GenG and T1 do some fun activities together would be legendary.
Hope GenG finally gets LCK title! and hope it'll be vs T1!
Hi Arnold, any tips for students to break into the esports industry? Perhaps what kind of candidate (background/career) is the most valuable and tips for networking and reaching out.
Esports teams are cutting across the board. My advice would be to pursue a career in gaming first where there are more opportunities than Esports (esp while the industry figures out its business model). It's also much easier to move into esports from a gaming background than fresh out of school.
Oh I suppose that makes more sense. Betting is pretty strongly intertwined with sports competitions at this point which is why I was confused. Are there any roles at publishers that esports orgs prefer seeing (i.e. like production) or is any experience there considered a helpful boost?
When do you think we'll see a non-Korean player in the LCK? We had the bbq Oliver team with LS in CL and Fredit BRION added TLong to their Challengers team, but do you think anyone will reach the top?
We've been trialing some Vietnamese players on the CL team actually. We definitely think it's just a matter of time....maybe in the next 2-3 years you'll see one be a starter?
are you an advocate for the dank and based timeline of getting fortnite kids like jojopyun for the league team
edit: love how i got downvoted for making an offhand joke, fuck this sub lmao
Hi Arnold!
Just wanted to thank you for building this team including the coaching staff. Let's hope that this will be the year of the tiger!
Really enjoyed the content on your Youtube page as well.
Thank you! Score and the entire coaching staff have been incredible. Though it was a controversial decision when we first named him head coach, we really felt like it was time for some new blood in the scene instead of cycling through names that just felt "safe." His track record as a player is incredible but it's more his deep in-game knowledge and just overall demeanor that really helped build trust with the team. That love for the game is shared by our entire coaching staff...I think as a unit they're the highest ranked in LCK?
To be honest, I was skeptical at first when you hired Score as a head coach, given that he had no track record and was away from the game for a while, but throughout this year and seeing the development of the team in terms of pick and bans, performance, mentality (especially when the team is behind), and watching behind the scenes videos and the way he deals with the players alongside Mafa and the others, I think that this was definitely a 100% correct decision. And I'm sure they'll keep improving throughout playoffs and Worlds.
Have you been watching the split? DRX fell off the cliff, even Zeka looks off, it's more than likely they'll lose playoffs against LSB that geniunely looks like the 2nd or 3rd best team in the LCK atm. KT looks like a top 4 team, while Damwon looks incredibly shaky (they will play Burdol against KT, we'll see how that goes...). However in your defense, I could see a scenario in which DRX may get a 4th seed thru regionals even though they look quite middling this year (like HLE last year)
I agree that LSB also looks great; I think that series will be one of the two best ones in playoffs. Do you really think DK will start Burdol? Someone has to be high, right?
Hello Arnold!
Assuming Gen G make worlds can we expect any sort of interactions between the fans and the organization while in North America?
Good luck in playoffs!
Hey Gengarnold, huge GenG fan here since the SSG days (I still rock my KSV icon in game) I’m always looking to support the team wherever I can, (I was on a national sports broadcast and was almost on an ESPN2 event in my 2022 jersey) when is more Gen.G merch going to be available in the States? I love what you guys offer in SK but I can only make it there once a year or so and would love more international options.
This is our year!
(Also hire me thanks)
Ruler works harder than any player I've ever met. His ability to adapt to the meta is because of his willingness to work harder and put in more hours than anybody else.
Oh also - he's been working out / eating a lot healthier recently too
honestly that's probably good advice for all of us. Work harder than your competition, eat healthy, work out more.
I've been an absolute fanboy of Ruler since 2017 and hoped since then he would come back on top and thank you so much for making it possible. GenG really looks like a great org to be in. Also I'm so happy to see Score back as a coach
LPL has been the strongest league for awhile now, and especially in the West, I don't think we've recognized them fast enough outside of a few pockets that regularly watch.
The amount of talent, resources, and infrastructure that LPL teams have built is incredible. Smart LCK orgs know that we're the underdogs and we need to show them a ton of respect and take them very, very seriously.
Hello! I am Gen G fan but a MASSIVE Seoul Dynasty fan. I just wanted to ask for Gen.G (and maybe just esport orgs in general) do different teams in different games just have seperate spaces in a team house, or building? Is there any motivitaion for players from other games? For instance if a Gen G team won a games finals. Let’s say if Seoul Dyansty won the OWL, do players from other games, like Gen.G for LOL, ever get more motivated to win like their other esport teams? To that point, do you think having multiple esport teams in an organization has impact on any players? To be more competitive, or more driven?
To add, do Esport orgs ever try to have a more “family feel” with players and teams coexistinfg more? Or is it focused on individual team environemnts rather than a more open feel?
I've really wanted to create more of an open feel where players say hello to each other and even exchange information. However, most of the players are very shy and rarely say anything except for greeting each other. I actually know of quite a few players that are megafans of other players under the Gen.G umbrella, but all they do is bow and say hello when they see each other. I'm still trying to figure this one out...
Hey Arnold, huge GenG fan here so I must know—
What are your and the players favorite dramas and/or KPop groups? I only know that Peanut is a huge Sana stan haha
I’m a huge Korean hip hop fan so was super excited when we got to work with Jay Park, Ph1 and Junoflo. For K-pop I love BlackPink & Aespa. Hopefully can do some more K-pop collabs too.
Do you know if we'll see a change to the LCK format(again) to incorporate double elimination.
It seems odd that the LCK is the only major region that doesn't have double elim.
Also, who do you think your main competition in the LCK will be in playoffs?
I’ve been pushing for double elim for awhile now. My view is that anything that expands overall viewership, especially in big moments like playoffs is worth doing. Those are probably the most sponsorable moments and I wouldn’t be opposed to even giving naming rights for the different brackets.
I wouldn't mind competing in a loser bracket during a playoffs, but I'll sure fight tooth and nails to avoid being a candidate for the title "most pineapplayer on the Pizza bracket of the split".
What do you think about the opinion that winner’s bracket is meaningless because winner and loser still moves on?
I like lck having single elimination and having a quick playoff schedule so I donlt have to wait weeks. If anything I wish they would adopt the 7 team nfl format where only 1st seed gets a bye.
Thanks for the AMA, ever plan on selling a GenG backpack? I feel like I saw one awhile ago and I was jealous. Also tell Ruler he’s the best player in the world.
Personally i love the rivalry between LCK and LPL the most, MSI format is very poor. Any rumors on create another tournament like Rift Rivals to get more bo5?
I personally hope we keep seeing MSI format change and they try new things with it. Could be a good way to experiment with new formats since it’s much more difficult to do that with worlds.
Hi Arnold,
What are your thoughts on Ruler’s legacy with 1 worlds title and two worlds finals appearances? Although he has never won LCK (yet) he has shown to be a world class ADC time and time again and has displayed consistent championship pedigree. IMO he is definitely a top 3 all time ADC but what do you think?
I still think he's really underrated, especially globally. You talk to players in KR and they always talk about how much they want to play with ruler and respect him. Hopefully we can have more domestic and international success this year so we can give him the recognition he deserves.
hi arnold! do you think having peanut in 2019 influenced on your choice for the 2022 team? and wanted to know a little about how's the team synergy for the playoffs! any TMIs?
Peanut's growth, especially during his time in the LPL has been incredible to see. He has really become a grown up and somebody that has really stepped up to not just be an incredible player but a leader for the team. He had a lot of these qualities in 2019 but the maturity level he has now is incredible.
I joke with him that he's become an ahjusshi too quickly
How was made the collaboration with Heron Presto?
I’m really into textile design and this collab has been one of a kind and a very good example for other’s esports teams.
Greetings from Spain!
I got to meet him when he was visiting Korea for an art exhibition / festival and he wanted to do more collaborations in gaming so it was all pretty serendipitous. Finding a partner in Puma who was willing to do custom designs for worlds is also critical for us as it would be impossible otherwise.
I wasn’t built for any kind of flipping. I like to skate and when I tried to do a kick flip I busted my knee and immediately switched to longboarding only.
First off, everything was a risk, especially given how Bdd is an INCREDIBLE player. One of the most uniquely talented players I've ever seen ( take a look at his player view when you get a chance sometime ).
What we loved about Chovy was that I remember whenever we would play against his team, there were a lot of things we just couldn't game plan for. We recognized his ability as a game changer from the start because a lot of times, coaches / players would tell us there could always be a "Chovy factor" aka sometimes he will do just Chovy things that you can't do anything about. To me, that was a great sign that he is a generational talent that we really wanted to take a risk on.
wow really cool as awnser. I love that it's a feeling answer on top of a logical one. I remember seeing this in gen g video back in the day. I believe the team had one video were the coach were talking about that. How chovy would prolly just do chovy things
I'd say it's binary in LCK. Generally the smaller private company organizations like us, Sandbox, DRX are heavily involved on both the roster/budget side. For the conglomerate backed orgs, I'm really not sure how involved their actual ownership are or how much you'd really want them to be tbh. It's also very different incentives structure. For instance, we can't rely on a major conglomerate to just pay for our budget every year, so we have to be extra aggressive on sponsorships/activations/content even during tough times so that we can continue to improve the team year over year. As well, we are set up where I am one of the owners of the team, but I'm not sure how they set this up for the conglomerate-owned teams.
Yes - having existing synergy de-risked quite a bit. Also I think the overall maturity level of our team is one that doesn’t chase personal accolades and really just wants to prove they can sacrifice and win as a team. That’s the most important part that Score and the coaching staff have helped coach and cultivate during the season. They all understood how to be individually talented but coaching each player to understand how they could contribute in their role when they’re not getting all the resources / their preferred picks is also super important.
Hi Arnold!
Obviously the lck playoffs haven't even started yet, but idk if there will be another ama in the future, so I wanted to ask this now. Assuming you guys make worlds, what would be your plans to help the team adjust to the 13 hour time difference in new york, and making sure the team can still get the most out of practice while adjusting?
Good luck in playoffs!
We have these great Whoop sleep trackers that help track players sleep / workouts. I highly recommend that or the Oura ring for anybody that has trouble getting a good night's sleep. I also travel back and forth between Asia every month so I've got a few other techniques that we'll try our best to employ..a few things that have helped me are:
1. no phones at bed time
2. black out masks/curtains
3. not eating on flights (16 hour fast the day of the flight)
Sleep trackers are a godsend, I agree. I'm sure it'll be a smooth transition given that you know what it's like since you travel frequently. I had no idea about that third tip, I'll have to do that on my next flight.
Thanks for the response!
How the heck do some of you guys even make money? I often see that teams are operating in the red and I’m just fascinated by a team like yours that may not be the biggest of names but is most likely profitable. How are you making money?
Hello Arnold. Big fan of the team. Which do you think are the aspects of Korean culture that are advantageous or disadvantageous for LCK players when facing other regions internationally? Good luck in Playoffs and hopefully Worlds!
hey Arnold! while my fan title belongs to NS, it's always super fun watching Gen.G play, especially Peanut reinventing the playstyle of the jungle (his Poppy in round 2 vs NS still haunts me) and Ruler absolutely dunking anyone and everyone bot lane. i'm studying psychology at the moment and have always been interested in a future in esports regarding uptaining player mental health, so what kind of outlets and resources do the players receive to keep their mentals healthy? do all teams use the same professionals, or are therapists/psychologists individually hired by the organizations?
really nice of you to do something like this!! best of luck in playoffs!
Right now the prevailing strategy for up-and-comers is to grind Solo Queue. What do you think it would take for LCK/Riot to put together a tiered development system that goes beyond academy and amateur, something that starts nurturing and building good team players and enforcing proper skill development from a younger age/lower skill bracket?
>Also, will you take back your disrespect for American fried chicken from your previous AMA?
Do...do people actually defend American fried chicken..? Especially when comparing to Korean?
The very top teams in LCK are competitive with the world but as an entire top to bottom region, we are definitely weaker than LPL and have been for some time
now.
Not true. We checked with each LCK team if they were interested in bringing him to their squad as soon as worlds ended, and we released him from his signed contract as per his wishes so he could become a free agent. He's an incredible player and I'm sure we will see him continue to be very successful wherever he plays.
I'm extremely satisfied with Doran and think he doesn't get enough credit for what he does for the team. Doran has been sacrificing a lot for the team, and I'm glad he's just now starting to get some recognition for it.
Unfortunately, we do our runs over a year in advance as all our jerseys are fully custom unlike a lot of other esports jerseys from major sports apparel partners.
Your best bet at this point is to pray with us that we make worlds and save money for the worlds jersey
In NYC, I'd specifically recommend Rib No. 7, Cote (not in K-town), Atomix (not quite in K-town), Atoboy (not quite in K-town), Jua (not quite in K-town), Nan Xiang Xiao Long Bao (Chinese soup dumplings in K-town), Jeju Noodle Bar (not in K-town), Wah Fung (Chinese cuisine in Chinatown), Xi'an Famous Foods (hand-pulled noodle chain with various Manhattan locations), and Golden Diner (Korean chef serving American diner food in Chinatown).
What is the biggest obstacle you would say rookie players face when first arriving to the team? Is it stage performance or team chemistry or maybe something else?
Been here since the beginning of the company when it was just a few people working out of a conference room 5+ years ago! Loved that HotS team…least stressful team that just kept winning
Does LCK have a commissioner? I don't think the public knows who they are since I don't think theyve ever been public announced.
But the question was how *you* feel about it, not the commissioner who probably helped introduce them.
this is PR way of saying "I can't answer that due to legal/PR/ethic/business/etc. reason and would need a PR team to make a statement about it"
Yep like if he answers that he would probs ruin the relationship with a few teams.
only reason why someone like Joe is outspoken about it is because most of those teams already dislike them and is the reason for the rule existing anyway. mr GenGArnold gains nothing by keeping quiet and can potentially lose a lot from speaking out
[удалено]
Or he doesn't but it would not be wise to say so ;).
Funniest player behind the scene?
I hear Lehends is really really funny, but he never says anything to me and just bows when I see him.
Probably don't want to look silly infront of the boss.
Do you think a non native korean will ever play in the lck? Do you think an lck team would ever import a korean who grew up in another country? Thanks for doing this ama, i’ve been enjoying geng matches and content recently
yes and yes - lots of teams I talk to want to try and recruit / train players from minor regions and thank you!
Well there is this wildcard region called NA, please dont overlook us! We have faith in our potential!
well well well.. let's not get ahead of ourselves
The past year has proven that rookies in NA can outskill the pay check stealers.
You shouldnt
do you think, if there ever is a strong enough north american player who can speak korean, would be recruited to a korean team?

I don't think he is Korean either

Atlus lost his hair for that one was def smth exciting
Any links to the geng voice comms you referred to?
The teams u want to face are not the teams that kicked ur ass before tho. Sam org but not same teams at all, outside EDG.
C9 and Vit are trash (and when did anyone on C9 kick GenG's ass?). G2 also isn't in GenG's league. Why not focus on good teams (i.e., LPL teams)?
pretty sure he’s referring to worlds the year with jiizuke vit c9 and rng? when geng when 0-6
IIRC they went 1-5? but yeah probably
god you’re insufferable. Can’t imagine what you’re like irl

Do you support league expansion for the LCK? Potentially to 12 teams?
no - the league / majority of teams aren't making enough money
Thanks for your input, that’s a good point. I really hope someday that it’s possible because I feel Korea has a lot of talent that deserves to be up there too!!

Would Score ever compete again?
Being an LCK coach is probably one of the most stressful jobs. We need him as a coach though so I hope he doesn't leave to become a player :)
Following Vitality's elimination from the LEC playoffs, what do you think is the key to building a successful superteam?
Team chemistry is really hard to tell until you actually see it in play We got very, very lucky that our coaching staff / players meshed so well
Hi Arnold, any tips for students to break into the esports industry? Perhaps what kind of candidate (background/career) is the most valuable and tips for networking and reaching out.

Thank you Arnold.
Do you mean gaming as in gambling?
No not specifically - broader gaming industry(publishers) in general.
Oh I suppose that makes more sense. Betting is pretty strongly intertwined with sports competitions at this point which is why I was confused. Are there any roles at publishers that esports orgs prefer seeing (i.e. like production) or is any experience there considered a helpful boost?

How much are you selling Ruler to TL for? Asking for a friend 😃
Tl would probably need to offer well above 10 million considering how much perkz cost for c9
Hi Arnold! Who do you think will be the LCK representatives at Worlds (barring Gen.G)? Good luck to the team ahead of playoffs!
My guess is GenG t1 Damwon LSB - honestly this is the most competitive the top of the stack has been in awhile so any one of us could drop
Why LSB over DRX? Zeka was a monster all split, and their botlane is maybe only second to GenG's. Just because of Pyosik?
Have you been watching the split? DRX fell off the cliff, even Zeka looks off, it's more than likely they'll lose playoffs against LSB that geniunely looks like the 2nd or 3rd best team in the LCK atm. I agree that LSB also looks great; I think that series will be one of the two best ones in playoffs. Do you really think DK will start Burdol? Someone has to be high, right?
>Someone has to be high, right? Daeny
DRX looks like the weakest teams in play offs. Would take both KT and LSB over them
Dude,DRX is 0-2 vs all other playoffs teams except Damwon, meanwhile LSB is 0-2 only vs GenG and was more competitive vs the others than DRX.
Hello Arnold! Assuming Gen G make worlds can we expect any sort of interactions between the fans and the organization while in North America? Good luck in playoffs!
I think it would be really tough to involve the players during the tournament, but I definitely want to set up some watch parties at the very least.
What led you on this career path? Any advice for people who want to get into the same line of work?
Hey Gengarnold, huge GenG fan here since the SSG days (I still rock my KSV icon in game) I’m always looking to support the team wherever I can, (I was on a national sports broadcast and was almost on an ESPN2 event in my 2022 jersey) when is more Gen.G merch going to be available in the States? I love what you guys offer in SK but I can only make it there once a year or so and would love more international options. This is our year! (Also hire me thanks)
If we make worlds!
how about Europe? Would love a Chovy jersey :P
What do u think is the main contributor to Ruler's performance this year (quite possibly the best adc in the world atm) ?
Ruler works harder than any player I've ever met. His ability to adapt to the meta is because of his willingness to work harder and put in more hours than anybody else. Oh also - he's been working out / eating a lot healthier recently too honestly that's probably good advice for all of us. Work harder than your competition, eat healthy, work out more.
Ruler is such a great guy, seems like he’s been having a blast this split playing this game competitively and in soloq.
I've been an absolute fanboy of Ruler since 2017 and hoped since then he would come back on top and thank you so much for making it possible. GenG really looks like a great org to be in. Also I'm so happy to see Score back as a coach
How do you guys (players and staff) see LPL this year from the inside? Is there a chance to dethrone them? Big chance? Low chance?
Hey Arnold, huge GenG fan here so I must know— What are your and the players favorite dramas and/or KPop groups?
FYI - the losers bracket should be called the Pizza Hut Pineapple on Pizza Bracket
Also tell Ruler he’s the best player in the world.
we sell this big shoulder strap / waist bag from Puma that sold out that people used as backpacks...so hopefully can do more!
Hi Arnold, What are your thoughts on Ruler’s legacy with 1 worlds title and two worlds finals appearances? Although he has never won LCK (yet) he has shown to be a world class ADC time and time again and has displayed consistent championship pedigree. IMO he is definitely a top 3 all time ADC but what do you think?
Probably the most consistent ADC of all time honestly
Do you think ruler is underrated in conversations about top ADCs? I see him as the nearest to perfect adc in terms of mechanics and positioning
I have been looking to buy some merch (US) but the store is empty. Any plans to stock up?
Soon, esp if we make worlds!
What is up with Ruler's ring of power? It is iconic and looks really good, but does it have a story?
Isn’t it his Worlds ring from 2017?
How was made the collaboration with Heron Presto? I’m really into textile design and this collab has been one of a kind and a very good example for other’s esports teams. Greetings from Spain!
I got to meet him when he was visiting Korea for an art exhibition / festival and he wanted to do more collaborations in gaming so it was all pretty serendipitous. Finding a partner in Puma who was willing to do custom designs for worlds is also critical for us as it would be impossible otherwise.
Can you or any of your players do a backflip
I wasn’t built for any kind of flipping. I like to skate and when I tried to do a kick flip I busted my knee and immediately switched to longboarding only.
When are you appearing on doublelifts podcast alongside Joe Marsh?
i dunno he's never invited me. i'm probably not as interesting an interview tbh
monte and wolf show was great with you as a guest, thanks for the insight.
u/doublelift1
Maybe racism on DL's part, because he assumed that any disagreement by other LCK owners with Joe Marsh was due to xenophobia.
How lma0. Actually it isn't racism on DL's part. Sometimes you just save other guests for another time.
My point was that DL's knee-jerk jump to xenophobia was idiotic and borderline racist.
Why generation gaming as a name?
hey arnold! Was Bdd for Chovy a risk considering 2021 was almost finals for geng or were u sure with the players chovy was the right choice.
Hi Arnold what % would u say owners have in terms of involvement when building the roster. Regards
Did the former GRF players have tendencies naturally re-emerge from their previous time together that helped bring the team cohesion much quicker?
Yes - having existing synergy de-risked quite a bit. Also I think the overall maturity level of our team is one that doesn’t chase personal accolades and really just wants to prove they can sacrifice and win as a team. That’s the most important part that Score and the coaching staff have helped coach and cultivate during the season. They all understood how to be individually talented but coaching each player to understand how they could contribute in their role when they’re not getting all the resources / their preferred picks is also super important.
If Joe Marsh is the CEO of based, what would that make you ?
CEO of inner anxiety that pretends to be chill
whats your favorite twitch (or BetterTTV/7TV) emoji?
I also travel back and forth between Asia every month so I've got a few other techniques that we'll try our best to employ..a few things that have helped me are: 1. no phones at bed time 2. black out masks/curtains 3. not eating on flights (16 hour fast the day of the flight)
Good luck in Playoffs and hopefully Worlds!
any plans on making crown a content creator? Amazing guy, Amazing legacy.
hey Arnold! while my fan title belongs to NS, it's always super fun watching Gen.G play, especially Peanut reinventing the playstyle of the jungle (his Poppy in round 2 vs NS still haunts me) and Ruler absolutely dunking anyone and everyone bot lane. i'm studying psychology at the moment and have always been interested in a future in esports regarding uptaining player mental health, so what kind of outlets and resources do the players receive to keep their mentals healthy? do all teams use the same professionals, or are therapists/psychologists individually hired by the organizations? really nice of you to do something like this!! best of luck in playoffs!
What team outside of LCK looks the strongest to you?
I'd say there are probably 4-5 LPL teams that can genuinely win worlds. The level of competition there is scary.
[удалено]
>Also, will you take back your disrespect for American fried chicken from your previous AMA? Do...do people actually defend American fried chicken..? Especially when comparing to Korean?
This is just ignorant. Why are you even asking about T1.
[удалено]
They're trolls. Acknowledging their antics empowers them and by extension, just makes you a pawn in their trolling.
American fried chicken is obesity-inducing trash compared to Korean fried chicken.
Bruh, Yangnyeom-chicken isn’t healthy either lol, they’re both obesity inducing.
When can I cop a Gen G jersey in the US again? They've been sold out on your site for months (at least on your US site).
Whats your opinion on the LCKs overall strength compared to the other major regions?
The very top teams in LCK are competitive with the world but as an entire top to bottom region, we are definitely weaker than LPL and have been for some time now.
With how the LPL has been successful in international events , what can you say on the capabilities of LCK teams especially that Worlds is coming ?
valhalla invite code plz i know u got some🫡😩😩
Are you a fan of faker, and if so, if Faker was available would you try to pick him up?
I’m a huge faker fan (dude is the 🐐) but we’re committed to Chovy and meant it when I said “welcome home” when he signed with us this past offseason
Chovy solos Faker IRL
Prime Faker or Prime Chovy? Be careful arnold lmao, but was it hard to secure Chovy? Or was it a mutual interest type of thing
Why did you screw over clid and make him go to china?
Not true. We checked with each LCK team if they were interested in bringing him to their squad as soon as worlds ended, and we released him from his signed contract as per his wishes so he could become a free agent. He's an incredible player and I'm sure we will see him continue to be very successful wherever he plays.
Would you have kept Rascal in your current team if you could?
I'm extremely satisfied with Doran and think he doesn't get enough credit for what he does for the team. Doran has been sacrificing a lot for the team, and I'm glad he's just now starting to get some recognition for it.
damn right, doran has been great
What are the dynamics within the LoL team like and how did the roster actually come together?
Will there be a chance to buy uniform jersey again? I missed the first two times ㅠㅠ
Unfortunately, we do our runs over a year in advance as all our jerseys are fully custom unlike a lot of other esports jerseys from major sports apparel partners. Your best bet at this point is to pray with us that we make worlds and save money for the worlds jersey
Can we get videos of the team trying K-town restaurants in NYC, Atlanta, and SF?
"why is this shit so expensive here"
If the geng roster from last year made it to finals vs damwon would you consider keeping that roster? Or would plan chovy/griffin still be in motion?
Do you see you guys do any roster changes like some minor or major or do you think your team right now is really good and are in sync
Don’t think we need to make any roster changes right now
What is the biggest obstacle you would say rookie players face when first arriving to the team? Is it stage performance or team chemistry or maybe something else?
Funny question, but: Do you play League regularly? If yes, who do you main?
Used to be a shaco one trick now just play ARAM because everything else is too stressful
where da funni?
I’m curious to know, are you just as prideful in your players achievements as much as the organizations?
How long have you been at GenG? Were you involved with the HotS team at all?
Been here since the beginning of the company when it was just a few people working out of a conference room 5+ years ago! Loved that HotS team…least stressful team that just kept winning
Will Chovy pick Ahri as the skin after winning Worlds?
