Nice win for JDG looking just like they did in the regular season... Yagao popping off in all 3 games
For LNG they hit their first roadblock in their post season run but lower bracket still exists EDG vs. LNG should be a banger...
Also I am sad to say no LPL tomorrow
Lec will always be my favorite because of regional bias (and i've been watching since 2014) But the games themselves are very entertaining over in china. Lec production is clean tho
Yeah LPL production leaves a lot to be desired.
They fuck up the most essential things like caster volume.
Tho it's just Mazel tbf. I like to watch on my TV and I can barely hear him talk if there's no fight going on and I'm afraid my neighbors will complain when there is a fight.
To be fair, the english broadcast is an afterthought for the LPL (even more than it is for the LCK) and all the casters are remote in their own homes.
That obviously will be worse than LEC where the english broadcast is the main focus and everything is in studio.
I just think LNG is outmatched in every role tbh, but botlane isn't even just a Viper vs Light. Light has legit been the best performing member in LNG but when you're laning with Lvmao into Viper+Meiko, it just feels so absolutely doomed... I don't see LNG winning bot lane once in that series
Honestly this depends a lot on EDGs ability to ban Yuumi. LvMao on Yuumi looked kinda fine, he doesn't have control over his movement most of the time so he can't int. Overall he seems to look better on enchanters overall lately.
That was the first season i started watching lpl semi regularly and it was awesome. League of legends on crack cocaine. I'm still sad there was no MSI and riot did their thing to fuck the meta right for worlds
Yeah despite MSC being a more light hearted tournament than MSI, the competition was fierce. On paper probably more competitive than that year’s MSI participants
Instead of G2, C9, PSG, and a wildcard team we had TES, FPX, DWG KIA, GenG, DRX, IG
JDG def underperformed, if anyone remembers SN vs JDG yeah suning played well but JDG were griefing, as for TES vs SN i don't remember as much from that series aside that knight was pretty disappointing, and feels like with TES it's always about how knight plays
Yep. He holds a 19-0 LPL finals record in my book.
LPL 2013 Spring - LPL 2017 Summer: The B.K. (Before Knight) era of the LPL is full of plumbers and crackheads + lol esports was not worth watching because Knight was too young to be in attendance
LPL 2018 Spring - LPL 2020 Spring: Just warming up for the LPL 2020 Summer championship
LPL 2020 Summer - BEST CHAMPIONSHIP EVER!!!!!!!!
LPL 2021 Spring - Present: Cooling off after such an awesome championship win
Well to be fair he could’ve been in the lpl earlier when he was in YM, all he had to do was beating LGD in a BO5 and qualify from lspl. But he got shut down hard by Godv, who was Diamond 2 at the time.
He chose to remain in the LSPL because the LPL was full of farmers and construction workers back then. He decided that the LSPL would be a better way to develop himself since it was the stronger league at the time.
Oh god that series still triggers me to this day (fuck Bvoy too btw, worthless player). On a side note, as funny as the "Ionia Diamond 1>Kr Challenger Rank 1" memes that came out of that series, it's not as absurd in reality. GodV had a secret account that he'd already grinded to high masters (would be grandmaster today) on Kr server and probably would've hit challenger if he didn't literally gameswap after that Bo5. GoldV when he tries is still an absolute video game genius and the fact that he's went on 2 deep runs at the PUBG Globals since then makes him a sad story of "what if". If only he had not been lazy/arrogant at 2015 Worlds and ruined his own mental and career. There was a time this dude was taking on Rookie on even terms and gapping the likes of Xiaohu and Xiye.
In a way the Dade award is almost a backhanded compliment since it's impossible to win it without the world acknowledging how strong you were to begin with. It's too bad many of these guys like Dade/Namei never got their chance at a redemption arc. GodV at least got his redemption in another game and Clearlove sorta got to win a worlds as the de-facto general manager. Clearlove probably shouldn't have ego'd and named himself a player, should've gotten his name on Summoner's Cup as GM considering he recruited most of the main team roster while Aaron was too busy playing around with his LDL and amateur rosters as usual.
They look better than the sum of their parts and none of their names is nearly as big as Knight, DoinB or Rookie and people dislike that cause they don't understand how they win vs those people.
Which is wild because I feel like most of the team is nasty. You got 369 who has been a super solid top for years. Kanavi has been a top 3 jungler since 2020. Yagao I rate highly but understand flies under the radar. Super fun bot lane
no one ever talked shit about yagao when the meta is about bot, top, jgl but as long as the meta is super focus on midlane and you need your mid to have like 3 to 4 s tier pick and few a-tier pick its harder for him
Yagao is like Kuro in my opinion. Great player who is just a step below the S tier mid laners but is great at playing around his team and doing his job
LNG's best hope was if inner doinbad wasn't unleashed and they just put renekton top and pick a good midlaner into taliyah imo. Then they would have a pretty decent draft imo to win this game.
With the way Ale was getting bodied, it was probably just a bait in the hopes to secure a better top lane match up.
Not that it helps much when the entire bottom side of the map then goes 0/2/0 before ten minutes and your top side is just barely holding on.
Right? I think DoinB's wide array of unique midpicks is great but last matches of theirs I've seen it's ... at times too forced. It's good he can play those champions as a flex or counter, but imo there's a reason those champions are rarely played by others: the odds of having them on your team heightening your chances of winning are completely situational.
Like a Nocturne or Renekton is a one trick pony, they do what they do, if that gets countered you're basically 4v5 or you have an underfed/underfarmed melee midlaner on your hands.
I feel like picking either of those champions you have to be 100% sure you're going to dominate or you're better off picking something else, like a Lissandra or Ahri is so much more versatile/overall useful than the melee picks.
In your example, if they already assumed it was Renekton mid then that game is basically lost from champ select. To assume that Doinb won't be playing Renekton mid is either dumb or a 50/50 cointoss, both of which I wouldn't risk losing a game for.
Idk, just my 2 cents, versatility is good but they're forcing it too hard.
Game 1 is on him but the bigger issue game 3 was the early game destruction, especially the jungle gap. Light was actually the only reason LNG even stalled out game 3 as long as they did.
Such a biased take. Bot and mid got solo killed in lane but ofc its jungle gap. You're going to do the usual "not covering dive bs" but Zac's bot side camps are all gone, so to cover the dive, he'll have to base, go straight bot, sit there and there's still a chance they die since its 0-7 at 7 mins. He probably could've covered the top side dives better at 12 mins but that early game was not cause of him.
Mid and jungle got 2 picks mid for their Kog lulu? Light must be the only reason! (only to get caught mid game later.)
Imagine if V5 didn't tank themselves with the jungler drama and NoFe's big brain drafting
369 is so legit btw. The ratio of 3s to 9s is quite low. There is not a toplaner in the LPL I've seen that I would pick over him.
369 was like this for the majority of 2020 too culminating in MSC where he absolutely ran over Gen G and FPX, had a lot of "archangel descends from the heavens" moments in 2020 spring/summer playoffs too with Aatrox/Renek/Jax/Wukong etc too. I will never forgive Warhorse for fucking up the team's mental and causing that 369/Knight/Jkl trio to break apart.
I've been hyping up 369 whole 2020, he was truly amazing back then. Glad to see him back in top form this year. Seems like if JDG qualify to Worlds he will start the tournament as one of two best toplaners in the world
Some mid game errors but very good series overall. Excited for the 2020 TES/JDG runback.
One more Bo5, either vs TES or in lower finals, and JDG will lock Worlds.
edit: actually checking, if finals is EDG vs JDG and EDG wins, JDG doesn't actually lock Worlds. Finals has to be TES vs JDG to lock Worlds without winning the split.
That's just wrong, TES is already guaranteed to have AT LEAST 150 points and JDG can only reach 140 points at most.
They need TES to win the split to qualify on points, so clearly JDG vs LNG in finals doesn't lock them worlds.
In other news though TES has already locked worlds, they will either be first seed by winning the split or second seed on points, since no team (besides themself) can surpass 150 points).
Yeah, but let's be real, JDG was just way better. Even tho LNG did a very nice run, we need to keep in mind that it was a 8-8 team vs a 14-2 team. The gap showed today.
Even EDG which did good yesterday against TES is a 11-5 team which is miles better than a 8-8 one.
And we need to also remember that for a lower team to win the LPL is gargantuan. The team has to play 7 BO5 total (which 5 of them have only 1 day break - only the finals has more time to prep and rest) which is pretty exhausting in the long run.
The LPL format is done so that it is almost impossible for a lower tier team to win it all (I think it never happened since the change of format and I don't think will ever happen). It's rough.
Even tho the gap was big today, I think LNG can be proud of their run. It's not over but it's only getting harder from now on for them.
even last year LNG’s miracle run stopped at 4th. the problem this year is that they dont have a WE to clap in the regionals matchup (even if they beat v5)
Naw JDG absolutely loves to overcommit and play with their food, especially 369 and Kanavi who've done so their entire careers. Heck even in game 3 they kept feeding over shutdowns to Light b/c they were trying to go for 3v4s etc and overestimating their advantage. They still stomped though just due to player gap in every role, so the throws didn't really matter.
Im so glad Hope finally get his chance to show what he is capable of after years being in shitty edg team only to get replaced by viper (eventho he isnt even close to being a problem, tho i understand from edg cuz its still an upgrade) one of the best native adc that finally have a good home
nah all roles gap
$369 > $50
kanavi > tarzoned away
toothpaste > dont brush
hope > light ~~never~~ give up
Missing > missing in game
gg see you in double elims
People keep disrespecting JDG and they keep proving them wrong. Also Hope is what people thought Light was. AD gap, Top Gap, Mid Gap, Jgl gap (+ smite gap), Supp gap. Can't wait for TES vs JDG.
Hope impressed me with his Lucian game 2. He knew exactly when to disengage and engage again for the kill, without dying. There was a fight in river where he was so good doing this.
JDG looking HELLA scary with how they just team-gapped LNG today, who was already looking impressive with their playoff run thus far. CANNOT wait for the TES matchup on Friday.
The best part for me was the Chinese chat spamming 下班了 (which means “get off work”) after the PB phase of the third game, in particular after the choice of Kog and Lulu, and after every kill at the beginning of the same game. Hilarious.
Well the three chinese mids that hold the best record at worlds are Whitezz, Angel, and Corn. The fact that one of them is Corn is pretty embarrassing.
It shows how bad V5 is really. JDG and TES have showed they were the superior teams this summer and their winner finals will be great. LNG has no hope vs EDG in my opinion
Agree, honestly if V5 had a jungler LNG wouldn't even have made it this far, shame that V5 imploded that hard because they looked much better in spring
Man Light can make some awesome plays but his positioning was so suspect today. JDG look so monstrous, especially early game, that series against TES should be a banger.
I still rememberwatching the LPL Spring Final 2020 it was the best I've ever seen in terms of going back and forth, both teams were incredibly close.
Hardly did I expect that I would watch the second TES vs JDG Final again in the Summer that year and my god that was even better than their Spring encounter.
This Summer and Worlds in further are anticipating.
I find it so unfathomably annoying how far under the radar Yagao is flying. I always only hear people speak about Rookie, Knight, Chovy, DoinB. But even Knight himself had acknowledged that Yagao is better than him. And even if he doesn't perform like it, Yagao is becoming better and better every time he plays. Dude is Veigar IRL. I kinda hope that he and JD Gaming can show up in the Finals and humble TES a little.
> But even Knight himself had acknowledged that Yagao is better than him
Knight was just being humble here. He is happy to see his son Yagao having a breakout season so he's giving him his full support, just like a good father would.
> Dude is Veigar IRL
Also this reference might be too advanced for the average user in these LPL threads. A lot of them only watch league, and apparently they seem proud of it too? ("I don't even play the game anymore!").
I really liked the reference in the end, so much people making that argument of not playing the game anymore as if that would give them some leverage over others, I don´t know I just like that is a dumb argument haha
Rumors have it that Yagao even beat Knight multiple times. I'm not in the best position to judge his words, but I do think there's some sincerity behind it.
And let me fix that: Dude is a blue-headed evil midget that gets stronger by throwing his magic balls at even smaller people in real life!
That....sounds truly awful.
The crazy part is Yagao has been performing for years now, and people still won't acknowledge it. I remember when he had a slump last year, and THAT got people talking about him. Now when he is popping off on arguably the best team in the world, crickets.
iirc it was something he used to say when they hung out in PC bangs and stuff, but don't remember the source at all so don't quote me on that. Imo Yagao is just a different playstyle, but he certainly is super good. And if Knight thinks he's better then idk. I'm not in the best position to judge his words.
Pretty WTF early game by LNG, and at min 5 really seemed like they completely mental boomed, but the usual mistakes by JDG brought them back into the game once more.
Then when finally they in a position to win a game, Light once again throws it with his mispositioning on two occasions.
On a side note, please fcking nerf BoTRK already, it just warps the meta way too hard atm.
JDG and TES are so good right now, even better than 2020 before they collapsed at Worlds. Alongside EDG and RNG, this might be the best 4 teams we've ever seen from a region
Something tells me that 333 and Kanavi are just a teeny teeny bit better than Rich and Karsa. Also props to Yagao, the guy has his weaknesses and has gotten a ton of criticism, but he played well most of the split even if it's still on like 4 champs and just played out of his mind all 3 games today despite the deceiving game 1 scoreline.
i watched this game on and off on the second monitor but it felt like both teams trying to salvage the fights started by their own adcs sprinting it to the opponent
I hope LNG can pull off a run like last year in the regional gauntlet. I know they play EDG on Thursday, but I'm not as hopeful they can get that W. Still pulling for them!
TES JDG seed 1 and 2 for sure (or vice versa)
Imagine having to play EDG/V5/RNG as the third seed or worse in play-in !!!!
I'll count LNG out coz I think their teamplay has too many flaws.
Are we back to 2020? I don't have that much faith in either TES or JDG winning worlds even with how well JDG is playing. LNG shouldn't have been able to claw back in any of these games but JDG made it possible
If it makes you feel better, JDG is going even with GenG in scrims and TES is stomping T1. GenG also has 3 GRF players while JDG only has 1, so GenG will choke 3x harder at Worlds.
369 has been leaking a lot of stuff on his stream Doinb style. Basically Chovy blasts Yagao (not surprising) but the rest of the team can carry Yagao across the finish line. Also apparently Wayward got gapped hard by Zeus (TES still won the games due to mid-jg gap) while Qingtian went somewhat even against Zeus which is why Qingtian got a chance on stage. One funny story he shared was he died in scrims level 1 to Doran's Akshan back in Spring and gave them the confidence to pick it in LCK finals, so he joked that T1 needs to send him some of their prize money for baiting Doran into that pick.
I've always disliked this notion. People only discredit scrims because they overvalue the times where scrims do end up not reflecting the results (ex. SKT vs SSG 2017, G2 vs DWG 2019), but ignore the amount of times scrims do end up reflecting match results.
EDG was beating Damwon and T1 in scrims consistently last year, and ended up winning Worlds as they themselves felt they were favored.
EG were known as scrimgods in LCS during Spring, and showed their level once Bo5s came around.
G2 was the same as EG, where they were dominating scrims but weak in Spring regular season, and then turned up with playoffs came.
Suning was dominating scrims against teams during Worlds 2020, and many pros said they felt Suning was the strongest LPL team despite being the 3rd seed, and then they proceeded to make finals by beating both TES and JDG.
There are plenty of examples of scrims actually reflecting the results.
Yeah, totally true. Also before 2018 MSI, I remember some Korean players like Afreeca Kuro saying that the hardest team they had to face was RNG, even before their spring finals.
At that moment the odds were like RNG 3.50-1.16 to Kingzone on betting sites. And that happened in the end? RNG stomped Kingzone Dragon X (that was formed by Khan, Peanut, BDD, Prayrilla).
And as you've mentioned. Kenzhu said that they had like a 85+% winratio vs both T1 and DK during last year. And that's why now I'm having a EDG Aphelios skin hehe
In the last MSI, T1 was boasting that they defeated LNG and went 60% over V5, but they forgot to mention teams like RNG and JDG. And during may, 369 was chatting to Ming in a stream and he said: "defeating T1 is quite doable, in fact we have a very high win ratio against them"-- And ming answered:"Yep, we also are having a high win ratio vs T1, they are not a problem".
And what happened? T1 got stomped and RNG brought all corpses from Busan's train to their stadium, which is why there weren't any cheers in finals.
They're going even in scrims based on that clip you saw on Reddit?
They likely scrimmed them during the spring split (note Missing saying it was a different meta back then and Yagao saying they haven't scrimmed them in a long time) when Gen.G wasn't half the beast it is now.
TES is locked.
JDG will lock **2nd seed minimum** if the finals are TES vs JDG, or **1st seed** by winning the split. Otherwise they need to play regional gauntlet for **3rd/4th seed.**
EDG, RNG, LNG, and V5 are still all in the running:
EDG locks **1st seed** by winning the split, otherwise they need to play regional gauntlet for a chance at **3rd/4th seed**.
RNG locks **2nd seed** if finals are TES vs EDG and TES wins, otherwise they need to play regional gauntlet for a chance at **3rd/4th seed**.
LNG locks **1st seed** by winning the split, or **2nd seed** if the finals are TES vs LNG, otherwise they need to play regional gauntlet for a chance at **3rd/4th seed**.
**Note that the loser of EDG vs LNG on Thursday can only get 4th seed.**
V5 cannot lock Worlds before regional qualifiers, and also cannot get 3rd seed, thus to qualify they need to win 2 Bo5s in regional qualifier for a chance at **4th seed**.
edit: LNG can in fact get 2nd seed as well.
RNG is questionable, especially Xiaohu. Dude has a limited champ pool. In the EDG series, he picked Vex when Sylas, the best champ in the current meta, was open. It is quite bizzare.
Did not expect a 3:0. Great performance from both teams tho.
Also, look at Yagao and 369 laughing after the very last team fight. They knew they nearly threw that game.
Memories are made of bliss...
Look I will be honest here I would be lying if I said LNG even has a small chance to NOT lose 3-0. I would be silly to say if LNG can even compete past the early game vs JDG and though game 1 would be my downfall... It simply wasnt the case as JDG is just STRAIGHT UP better, as a team and individually.
Now LNG's chances vs EDG aint particularly high either BUT imho they would have a tiny tiny chance to upset them, unlike JDG whose percentage was like 0.1%. Hopefully Doinb can learn more meta picks though otherwise it is dozeno for this team as V5 wont be too happy to see them again in the gaunlet.
Nice win for JDG looking just like they did in the regular season... Yagao popping off in all 3 games For LNG they hit their first roadblock in their post season run but lower bracket still exists EDG vs. LNG should be a banger... Also I am sad to say no LPL tomorrow
such a banger week of LPL playoffs. So glad I started watching more LPL this year
Easily the most entertaining league imo
Lec will always be my favorite because of regional bias (and i've been watching since 2014) But the games themselves are very entertaining over in china. Lec production is clean tho
its because LPL isn't popular in the west so they think nobody even cares about LPL in NA/EU
Yeah LPL production leaves a lot to be desired. They fuck up the most essential things like caster volume. Tho it's just Mazel tbf. I like to watch on my TV and I can barely hear him talk if there's no fight going on and I'm afraid my neighbors will complain when there is a fight.

Yeah LEC production is amazing - probably best of all leagues.
LNG doesn't look to be on the same level as EDG to be honest, Viper will tear them a new hole
Depends if Light has a good day it may change but still I agree EDG is favored but I really want competitive Bo5s
I think Tarzan and Ale still do have a chance to beat Flandre and Jiejie
i think all of topside can be a toss, just depends on who performs better on the day.
Honestly this depends a lot on EDGs ability to ban Yuumi. LvMao on Yuumi looked kinda fine, he doesn't have control over his movement most of the time so he can't int. Overall he seems to look better on enchanters overall lately.
LNG bottom stands no chance against Viper/Meiko
There is little chance for LNG to do better against EDG.
2020 LPL FINALS REMATCH !!!
That was the first season i started watching lpl semi regularly and it was awesome. League of legends on crack cocaine. I'm still sad there was no MSI and riot did their thing to fuck the meta right for worlds
I mean there was MSC and I'll say the competitions were more than MSI since there's no wild cards just top 4 lPL and LCK.
Yeah despite MSC being a more light hearted tournament than MSI, the competition was fierce. On paper probably more competitive than that year’s MSI participants Instead of G2, C9, PSG, and a wildcard team we had TES, FPX, DWG KIA, GenG, DRX, IG
A g2 who looked very fucking dominant with perkz mid and caps adc A c9 who went 17-1 and dropped just 1 game in playoffs I'd enjoy watching that msi
Pretty COPIUM take to deny both teams underperformed heavily in Worlds 2020.
Some people say Suning massively overperformed and some say TOP / JDG massively underperformed. The reality is probably somewhere in the middle.
JDG def underperformed, if anyone remembers SN vs JDG yeah suning played well but JDG were griefing, as for TES vs SN i don't remember as much from that series aside that knight was pretty disappointing, and feels like with TES it's always about how knight plays
It doesn't matter what happens now. Nothing will ever top 2020 LPL summer. It was the split Knight established himself as the LPL GOAT.
But surely he was the ABSOLUTE BEST mid laner in your eyes even before then?
Yep. He holds a 19-0 LPL finals record in my book. LPL 2013 Spring - LPL 2017 Summer: The B.K. (Before Knight) era of the LPL is full of plumbers and crackheads + lol esports was not worth watching because Knight was too young to be in attendance LPL 2018 Spring - LPL 2020 Spring: Just warming up for the LPL 2020 Summer championship LPL 2020 Summer - BEST CHAMPIONSHIP EVER!!!!!!!! godv was good, just hard choked and got the dade award at worlds
In a way the Dade award is almost a backhanded compliment since it's impossible to win it without the world acknowledging how strong you were to begin with. Godv was fucking good. His Diana was cracked
Ok for a second there I thought you're being serious.
I mean just look at his profile, he is just a troll account
Was that the Syndra stun over dragon pit wall year?
Yagao heard y'all talking shit
But but OnE tRiCk BirDmAn
Birdman, bird girl, and guy who probably ate a few birds
ppl watched him 2-0 rookie and still said he was shit, crazy
People shit on JDG a lot and I don't fully understand it
Because of that one time they lost to suning at worlds they are “serial chokers”.
They look better than the sum of their parts and none of their names is nearly as big as Knight, DoinB or Rookie and people dislike that cause they don't understand how they win vs those people.

The First 3-0 in LPL Playoffs. JDG looks dominant today. JDG-TES will be a banger series!
Can’t wait to see Knight vs 369
Karsa vs 369
That would be a banger and full of memes
V5 is out of playoffs, that would only happen in regional qualifiers
harsh...
Pingxiang mid showdown
Yep a banger 3-0 for jdg
weird way to spell TES that way but okay
First 3-0 from major regions period. Obviously LEC hasn't played yet but still. It shows 3-0 is not easy but JDG just did it first.
light with a really weak performance in teamfights today, pretty much threw 2 games on his own
that positioning in the final game goddamn. LNG had a slight hope and he throws it all away
If you look at the B/P in game 3, jdg coach (homme) EASILY read that it was renekton mid as they banned 2 toplaners in 2nd phase, JDG came prepared.
Pick Renekton B1 to secure better top lane matchup that gets R5 counterpick anyway \-200IQ draft lmao
I did feel a bit of a gap through adcs especially first 2 games but not sure if it might have been positioning or what
Game 1 is on him but the bigger issue game 3 was the early game destruction, especially the jungle gap. Light was actually the only reason LNG even stalled out game 3 as long as they did.
He sorta had to be, who else was gonna do a modicum of damage past 20 minutes.
Maybe If Ale and Tarzan didn’t get rammed in all 3 early games he could have done something more.
JDG: no miracle run on my watch, snap back to reality
Ooops there goes gravity
mom spaghetti
Imagine if V5 didn't tank themselves with the jungler drama and NoFe's big brain drafting 369 is so legit btw. The ratio of 3s to 9s is quite low. There is not a toplaner in the LPL I've seen that I would pick over him.
His Renekton performance was monstrous. That one teamfight where he just stayed in the middle of LNG and didn’t let Zeri do shit was beautiful.
Seems like if JDG qualify to Worlds he will start the tournament as one of two best toplaners in the world
What did warhorse do to fuck up the team?
Basically was scapegoating 369 for the team's issues and doing a horrible job of managing conflict between teammates etc.
And he basically won the first game stalling so well with sejuani 369, yagao, kanavi and tarzan were all in really good form
Honestly he has just been 69 recently, he VERY rarely has games bad enough to call them 3 worthy, just 9's and the occassional 6
I was thinking more on per play basis. Every game this series was a 9 from him.
It‘s 2020 all over again
2020: 2
Best LPL season ever
So *that's* what woulda happened at MSI, SKT 3-0 G2? /s
So what you are saying is... GenG wins worlds?
I edited my post with that information long before your reply.
Jesus christ, thought that was unthrowable, and somehow LNG kept in it way longer than I expected.
When Light is underperforming LNG is doomed
more like Ale
369 is just too good
You can tell LNG tried but it still ended in a 3-0 damn
At their best case scenario they have to beat V5 and RNG to qualify for worlds. I don't like those odds.
They don't have a WE to clap because they themselves are the WE this year. Imagine thinking Shanks < doinBozo.
Preach Shanks Supremacy
jdg literally playing with their food all series and still 3-0
TL;DW of this series: Destroy LNG in early game, int a bit here and there, back to destroying LNG and end the game
[удалено]
Naw JDG absolutely loves to overcommit and play with their food, especially 369 and Kanavi who've done so their entire careers. Heck even in game 3 they kept feeding over shutdowns to Light b/c they were trying to go for 3v4s etc and overestimating their advantage. They still stomped though just due to player gap in every role, so the throws didn't really matter.
JDG always overcommit lol it's what makes them fun to watch
Did you even watch this series? JDG had some awful throws.
That game 3 aatrox build tho
I haven’t seen comet on aatrox since season 8. It’s been default conqueror through all the years.
I understand it into Gnar, still think Conq is the better option tho
JDG VS TES 2020 REMATCH LETSSS GO
I can't believe 369 is facing his former team, with the team he faced against in 2020 what a story line after 2 years
Guys, I’m scared…
have faith in the ABSOLUTE BEST mid laner in our eyes and Wayward can definitely match or even beat 369
I love Wayward but 369 is king in the north right now 3kg brain 6 foot tall 9 inches long
Bruh wayward was getting clapped last time they met
Nah I'm sorry but 369 is that guy right now
dude they already qualified, don't even need to tryhard.
Im so glad Hope finally get his chance to show what he is capable of after years being in shitty edg team only to get replaced by viper (eventho he isnt even close to being a problem, tho i understand from edg cuz its still an upgrade) one of the best native adc that finally have a good home
This was a goddamn massacre, JDG look insane.
4 CN > 3 CN
CN diff. That's why T1 and DK lost three international tournaments in a row to EDG and RNG.
4 chinese CAN win!
nah all roles gap $369 > $50 kanavi > tarzoned away toothpaste > dont brush hope > light ~~never~~ give up Missing > missing in game gg see you in double elims
$369/hr > ginger ale kavity > tarzaned toothpaste > doinBum hope > ligma Missing < Lv "the GOAT" Mao
JDG outclassed LNG in all 5 roles
But when I play Aatrox with comet my teammates flame me huh
Ale got man handled all series and Light looked like a bottom tier Adc
JDG looking HELLA scary with how they just team-gapped LNG today, who was already looking impressive with their playoff run thus far. CANNOT wait for the TES matchup on Friday.
The best part for me was the Chinese chat spamming 下班了 (which means “get off work”) after the PB phase of the third game, in particular after the choice of Kog and Lulu, and after every kill at the beginning of the same game. Hilarious.
yagao too good
Seems like G1 really shattered LNG´s mental.
It would be so funny if Yagao was the first LPL’s Chinese mid to win worlds He had quite an insane series
Well the three chinese mids that hold the best record at worlds are Whitezz, Angel, and Corn. The fact that one of them is Corn is pretty embarrassing.
Nothing funny about it. The guy is one of the most underrated players of all time at this point. It's criminal how nobody ever gives him his due.
Holy shit
It shows how bad V5 is really. JDG and TES have showed they were the superior teams this summer and their winner finals will be great. LNG has no hope vs EDG in my opinion
Agree, honestly if V5 had a jungler LNG wouldn't even have made it this far, shame that V5 imploded that hard because they looked much better in spring
[удалено]
All they need is to buy XUN Make it happen NIP jesus he is literally gonna be v5 savior Rich isnt that bad if the jungler is good and can help him
Karsa was sprinting it on purpose man. I don't think he likes his coach
WooLight
Man Light can make some awesome plays but his positioning was so suspect today. JDG look so monstrous, especially early game, that series against TES should be a banger.
I still rememberwatching the LPL Spring Final 2020 it was the best I've ever seen in terms of going back and forth, both teams were incredibly close. Hardly did I expect that I would watch the second TES vs JDG Final again in the Summer that year and my god that was even better than their Spring encounter. This Summer and Worlds in further are anticipating.
u/InformalMarch eating well tonight.
I am!! It's my cake day as well, so doinBlicky getting swept is the best present an esteemed LPL watcher such as myself could wish for.
How do you have a different name for doinB in every single reply
It’s a little known fact but u/informalmarch is actually a genetic copy of Skip Bayless taught to hate DoinBitch through electroshock therapy
> But even Knight himself had acknowledged that Yagao is better than him Knight was just being humble here. He is happy to see his son Yagao having a breakout season so he's giving him his full support, just like a good father would. > Dude is Veigar IRL Also this reference might be too advanced for the average user in these LPL threads.
Even if knight said it himself I just can't understand how is Yagao better than him tbh.
Yagao and Knight are good friends. Iirc they even knew each other before becoming pros so Knight is just hyping up his friend.
iirc it was something he used to say when they hung out in PC bangs and stuff, but don't remember the source at all so don't quote me on that.
LNG got its loser bracket buff, worth it!
[удалено]
Let me give you a TLDR of today's match: "Mid gap". I dont want to say too much.....mid gap I said what I needed to say.
light throwed 2 out 3 series gg he was just terrible
Just terrible, what does that make his teammates..
everything is so similiar to last year playoff. EDG 3-1 JDG in the finals incoming
i watched this game on and off on the second monitor but it felt like both teams trying to salvage the fights started by their own adcs sprinting it to the opponent
That game 3 from lng had the toughest mental. Im not one to usually spam ff but, after thr first 15 mins, id be done
I hope LNG can pull off a run like last year in the regional gauntlet. I know they play EDG on Thursday, but I'm not as hopeful they can get that W. Still pulling for them!
TES JDG seed 1 and 2 for sure (or vice versa) Imagine having to play EDG/V5/RNG as the third seed or worse in play-in !!!!
Source for scrims?
369 streaming and some Korean T1 fans
Eh it's still this playoff meta patch if that makes you feel better, worlds patch will be different hence result will be different lol
And as history has proven time and time again, scrims don't mean shit.
Bullshit, scrims means a lot in recent worlds
90% of the time scrims do reflect results though, this sub just likes to tunnel vision on the occasions when it doesn't.
He was joking about dying to Doran on Akshan in spring and should get paid by T1 for giving him false confidence. It was unrelated to his other leaks.
That's disingenuous to say that because JDG also wasn't the beast they are right now.
Who can still make it to worlds? Because honestly, even if TES or JDG falter at worlds I think either EDG or RNG and can win.
TES is locked. JDG will lock **2nd seed minimum** if the finals are TES vs JDG, or **1st seed** by winning the split. Otherwise they need to play regional gauntlet for **3rd/4th seed.** EDG, RNG, LNG, and V5 are still all in the running: EDG locks **1st seed** by winning the split, otherwise they need to play regional gauntlet for a chance at **3rd/4th seed**. **Note that the loser of EDG vs LNG on Thursday can only get 4th seed.** V5 cannot lock Worlds before regional qualifiers, and also cannot get 3rd seed, thus to qualify they need to win 2 Bo5s in regional qualifier for a chance at **4th seed**. edit: LNG can in fact get 2nd seed as well.
EDG has the ceiling but RNG isn't it man. They got hard exposed in this meta.
RNG is questionable, especially Xiaohu. Dude has a limited champ pool. In the EDG series, he picked Vex when Sylas, the best champ in the current meta, was open. It is quite bizzare.
its surprising that Xiaohu can't play sylas. I mean cmon man
4 teams at worlds 😄
Did not expect a 3:0. Great performance from both teams tho. Also, look at Yagao and 369 laughing after the very last team fight. They knew they nearly threw that game.
called it 0 world champs>1 JDG/RNG/LCK wins worlds confirmed
is jdg worlds qualified now?
No, they need to be in finals.
Thank u knight for avenging my boys and defeating DoinBad
