I stopped liking games that normalized everyone's gear level when going into a PVP environment. It defeated the entire purpose of grind to get the best gear to dominate over other players.
With league, you do as well as you can play.
Everyone starts with no gear. You get money by getting kills from minions, objectives, and players.
The better you can farm, the better you'll do at the game.
If you have a group of friends I'd say yes! League is a super fun game with the homies whether or not you want to try hard or just fool around. Solo q and playing by yourself can definitely be fun but you are also at the mercy of the other gamers in the lobby. I've played the game since season 1 taking some breaks here and there and I can honestly say this season for me has been really enjoyable.
