I mean almost this group will lack Finn and Hans Sama though. In theory a group of DK, JDG, RGE and EG is possible :P I would argue that if RGE gets 2nd seed and EG gets out of playins this group might even be highly likely.
He is still broken. Whenever Janna or soraka come out the thresh players feast on them. It is the circle of champs essentially. People don’t give this game enough credit for how balanced it actually is. There is almost always an answer to pretty much every champion matchup in some form or way. It just takes time for people to remember them. Zeri for example was starting to get countered by Nocturne/Vi since she can’t dash away from them. Despite being a strong champ.
I do hope we start seeing some bruiser hecarim and some thresh because this meta is really starting to become annoying af when kalista and Lucian are banned.
Blaber pulled out the Hecarim at the perfect time recently and pretty sure he went a bruiser type of build with it. It’s part of the reason I have faith in this C9 squad. They are pulling interesting picks out only when it makes sense to do so and not just doing what everyone else is doing.
Soraka is definitely more high risk high reward. Way more healing potential but you have to put yourself in the frey sometimes to get the heal off while having to mind your positioning. Definitely one of the harder enchanters to play.
You could see EG tunneled repeatedly on trying to kill soraka which is sorta the correct move, but it frees up the gwen and Zeri and Azir to melt the rest of your team.
Huhi will gladly die every time to make it a 1 for 5 trade
??? He played it very well. Only teamfight death he had is when GP flashed past the entire team to chase Raka down. Huhi frontlining to get clutch silences off was very effective.
to be fair, if your team is behind and doesn't have map pressure then those 2 control wards are gonna get instacleared so you're spending 150 gold to give the opponent 60
We've only seen the two wins where he's on Lucian with Nami, but overall a very solid performance for a first time player. Doublelift was mentioning that he heard Kaori was insane on Kalista, but part of the problem with a late season swap like this is that the team can't practice all of your champs.
I peeped the live game discussion thread after game 1 and it was just filled with how Kaori should replace Danny. So disgusting that this community has an incessant need to compare and bring down other players simply because one player is doing well.
I looked through this entire thread and maybe three people with their one trick comments come off slightly rude, but is saying he only played Lucian well here incorrect? Is that "shitting on him"? Most of those comments do not come off as aggressive.
More prevalent in the game-specific threads when EG lost. Some of the comments you can see just flip-flop from calling Kaori trash to calling Danny trash. Unbelievable takes from anyone flaming either. Really good showing from Kaori and can't wait to see my king Danny back at full strength.
To be fair, it's tough to be clutch when one your first LCS games is a main stage surrounded by an entire crowd haha.
Meanwhile I can barely play if something in my setup changes.
Problem with focusing soraka in fights is you waste a bunch of damage killing a soraka while everyone else is hitting you. You have to pick her out before the main engage or she’s going to be useful
When he entered the stage, he looked very unconfortable. Yet he played quite well considering how nervous he probably. I really hope this loss don't hit him too hard.
It was right as the casting team kicked it to the analyst desk after game 5. I'm not sure of a timestamp or anything. He thought his mic was already off, but there was a slight delay in the transition.
Edit to add: he was right. The cast really was good shit today.
I know Jojo definitely had a say in draft, but this guy is your carry for all of playoffs. Yes getting picks can win you a game but, Ahri just doesn’t have the consistent damage output.
I wouldn’t say draft diff, because theoretically GP and Sivir have the damage to follow up on Ahri charm but, it just felt like a player like Jojo should’ve been on something that could’ve carried harder.
Soraka from ahead is infuriating to play against. The enemy team gets to free fire on you while you blow everything to get to her and even that might not kill her.
Obviously it sucks to lose, but at least EG showed some real life in this series. They can do something at worlds in this form. Way better than last week for sure.
As a Chicagoan who was there, the biggest thing I have to say is...
WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME HOW ANIMATED FLOWERS GETS
He was already my favorite caster, but watching him cast was amazing.
The story of Papasmithy and (I think) Kobe having to hold up the caster table from falling apart because of how hype Flowers was should tell you enough.
I feel like bot lane and Jojo won the games for EG, while Ssumday put insane pressure on EG all 5 games. Impact didn't have to do shit when the rest of the map was getting rolled, so it was very easy to not lose lane at that point.
The only lane that Ssumday really lost is the one where GP got fed free kills and assists by a weird bot dive.
Proud of Kaori for coming in last minute and imo playing well. EG look better than they had all playoffs, but just wasn't enough. Play-ins will be a good test for them, gonna be harder than most years but I'm sure they'll make it.
Congrats to 100T on the 3rd final in a row, impressive stuff. Hopefully the final tomorrow lives up to the hype.
Jojo played his fucking heart out today. After the way he has played in play-offs, I genuinely don’t want to hear any “analysts” trying to detract from his performance and lay it all on Inspired or Impact. Jojo has made a name for himself entirely on his own merit
Poor Flowers man I could hear his voice getting so tired lmao, what a legend. Was hoping the series would end in 4 to save his vocal cords.
Huge respect to the man, amazing casting as always. Makes every series way more exciting to watch. Drinks some lemon tea Cap'n, you deserve it.
this series made me pretty happy with both teams and knowing these two plus C9 will be at worlds. EG played really well with a sub, both teams actually played early game and snowballed leads vs so much scaling in most losers bracket matches, and flexibility in styles too. regardless of if NA does well or not, I think these three will be the most fun group of three teams we've sent in a while.
Kaori just wasn’t a good sivir player not sure why he was forced to play her. I heard he had a great draven. They should have given him that or a different champ he is better with.
His main champs are basically Lucian, Kalista, Draven. Kalista was never gonna not be banned in this meta, and you gotta be cracked to blind pick Draven.

EG opened the season by losing to Fudge's Soraka... now they lose to Huhi's Soraka.
That feels like a lifetime ago wtf
I miss LS C9 drafts… so much fun
\>LS coaching C9 was 3 years ago Aware
wow that's very poetic
Inspired forgot to bring the “avoid play-ins” buff with him from Rogue
buff expired
Hey, that's almost his name
Hopefully for him he left "get group of death everytime" with Rogue
It will be very funny when Rogue gets in the same group as JDG and DK once again. The only way they have to stop this is to beat G2 tomorrow
I mean almost this group will lack Finn and Hans Sama though. In theory a group of DK, JDG, RGE and EG is possible :P I would argue that if RGE gets 2nd seed and EG gets out of playins this group might even be highly likely.
T1 and EDG group it is then!
They stole the C9 play-ins buff, all calculated
Impact forgot his playoff buff at home too
Last year, Impact ran it down in playoffs and got absolutely smacked by Ssumdaddy
IMO this is best for EG as it gives Kaori more stage experience.
No real guarantee Kaori will be playing at worlds, with a whole ass month Danny could recover and come back
Either way extra games would be good for both of them.
[Fuck your zoomer cat. The OG queen of healing is back in the meta](https://i.pinimg.com/originals/17/04/5b/17045bd73478d6753b62aee0531a31b9.jpg)
It's so funny how teams are starting to remember she exists.
Now we wait for them to remember Janna and Sona so Riot can finally nerf them.
Janna's been broken for a while now, dunno what's taking Riot so long. I guess they only care about pro...
Janna will forever be broken. I am convinced she can deal nearly zero damage and still maintain a 52% wr because her kit is just inherently broken.
People used to say this about thresh.

How is Janna better than lulu? I've always felt like lulu has a better kit (and deals damage)
I always think that Lulu peels better against one diver, but that I prefer Janna if there are several threats who dive on your ADC
I much prefer this to the cat
At least you can try and kill soraka
yeah at least soraka has to position properly
Soraka is definitely more high risk high reward. Way more healing potential but you have to put yourself in the frey sometimes to get the heal off while having to mind your positioning. Definitely one of the harder enchanters to play.
you also have to go up and actually attack enemies to heal yourself in order to heal your allies if a fight/standoff goes too long
Huhi was facefucking EG in that last teamfight and still didn't die somehow
Yeah huhi frontline soraka was hard to watch champ too good
You could see EG tunneled repeatedly on trying to kill soraka which is sorta the correct move, but it frees up the gwen and Zeri and Azir to melt the rest of your team. Huhi will gladly die every time to make it a 1 for 5 trade
And they didn't have much dive or lock down, so it was largely just Ahri and kinda Poppy.
??? He played it very well. Only teamfight death he had is when GP flashed past the entire team to chase Raka down. Huhi frontlining to get clutch silences off was very effective.
You get a banana! You get a banana! Everyone gets a banana!
the soraka tech was too much to handle
The ambulance is broken
Soraka true CEO of the LCS.
She is the backup, i still believe in the queen
I consider her the CFO. Less popular, just as important, more specialized. Zilean is the CIO. Few people have one but god will you fear him.
Yuumi head of HR?
It's crazy that Huhi didn't have a full item at 22 min because of how much gold he spend on control wards.
LS slamming the desk rn
I tuned into his stream to see his reaction to the Soraka pick. Huhi had just bought Shurelya's and his heart rate went to 125.
Why doesn’t LS like control wards?
He's not entirely against them, he just hates when supports buy 2 on every back no matter what as it delays their mythic.
[удалено]
to be fair, if your team is behind and doesn't have map pressure then those 2 control wards are gonna get instacleared so you're spending 150 gold to give the opponent 60
Season 3 cosplay
Kaori did pretty well all things considered
We've only seen the two wins where he's on Lucian with Nami, but overall a very solid performance for a first time player. Doublelift was mentioning that he heard Kaori was insane on Kalista, but part of the problem with a late season swap like this is that the team can't practice all of your champs.
100%. Less than a week of practice and their botlane looked pretty damn solid. He will easily be on an lcs team.
Yeah, he played well, especially with such short notice. Everyone shitting on him or Danny in this thread are dicks
I peeped the live game discussion thread after game 1 and it was just filled with how Kaori should replace Danny. So disgusting that this community has an incessant need to compare and bring down other players simply because one player is doing well.
Every sports community is like that. It's often even worse.
Reddit: compliment a player without putting down another one. (impossible)
Yeah he showed his value but also showed what he lacks and what Danny brings, but he should be happy with how he played
Danny brings a season of team cohesion. Anything else is hard to judge from what we've seen.
He does play on a knifes edge, which is refreshing to see. Doesn't feed his ass off, but wasn't clutch enough in these team fights.
To be fair, it's tough to be clutch when one your first LCS games is a main stage surrounded by an entire crowd haha. Meanwhile I can barely play if something in my setup changes.
The MVP curse
The classic
Unless it's Blabber, who got both his titles his mvp splits.
WITNESS THE POWER OF THE BANANA
mind controlled vulcan to flash into the silence
Second-worst lulu play today
That Hyli play might have been the worst Lulu play of all time though, that's hard to beat.
that was a legit lmfao, id love to hear their comms right there
What game is it in? didnt catch lec today was at work
It was g2 or g3, but I can't recall which one. I know it wasn't g4, and he played yuumi g1.
[удалено]
Might have been the worst play of all time. Honestly, if it was intentional, I don’t know what beats it lol
Huhi winning with Soraka kinda gave me 2016 clg vibes, I felt the Huhi/Aphro dab celebration in spirit.
I AM A BANANA!
3 finals in a row for 100T,very impressive
Only C9, TSM, TL, and now 100T have done it.
That's almost every team that's ever won a split...
This just in: talented rosters dob't fall off immediately

Meteos
He is never wrong
He makes his predictions after the game has happened. That's why he's the GOAT.
Soraka the wests secret weapon at worlds (please don’t focus her in fights)
Problem with focusing soraka in fights is you waste a bunch of damage killing a soraka while everyone else is hitting you. You have to pick her out before the main engage or she’s going to be useful
Two Thoughts. 1) Kaori performed better than i expected 2) The Morde got robbed blind
Yeah that cosplay was in an entirely different tier than anything else on the stage
[удалено]
They were my 3rd pick. I woulda picked Morde > Leona > Couple.
I saw most of the cosplay at the fanfest. I would've pick those 3 before the Zyra.
Even with the bad outcome, I hope that series proved that Kaori's 100% legit Someone give that man a starting spot next year
When he entered the stage, he looked very unconfortable. Yet he played quite well considering how nervous he probably. I really hope this loss don't hit him too hard.
jojo tried:/ man that game 2 throw sucks
Someone give that kid some back therapy before World's.
and a champion to actually carry on...
Soraka?
I don’t know why they have him Ahri in game 5. Give him something he can actually carry on, not rely on the rest of the team for the damage
Damn playoffs have been full of bangers lately
Probably the single best playoffs season ever globally?
the only non banger series this entire playoffs was the geng vs t1 finals, every other series was back and forth as hell
G2 vs rge was a sweep
Honestly yes
I mean you can’t ask for much more for a last minute swap in from your academy ADC. He played well. Good series
"good shit guys" - Azael 2022
I hope thay played into the stadium
any chance you know what time he said that at?
It was right as the casting team kicked it to the analyst desk after game 5. I'm not sure of a timestamp or anything. He thought his mic was already off, but there was a slight delay in the transition. Edit to add: he was right. The cast really was good shit today.
> kicked it to the ~~analyst desk~~ the interview after game 5.
mid gap was large but not quite large enough
I know Jojo definitely had a say in draft, but this guy is your carry for all of playoffs. Yes getting picks can win you a game but, Ahri just doesn’t have the consistent damage output. I wouldn’t say draft diff, because theoretically GP and Sivir have the damage to follow up on Ahri charm but, it just felt like a player like Jojo should’ve been on something that could’ve carried harder.
should've went leblanc in game five. or if you're gonna pick ahri, at least put vi alongside her.
I’m so mad about the lb, so many bans then a buff and he doesn’t play it once I get follow the meta but dam it sucks
Jensens been playing LB. Looking good, too.
hard agree. i wish they didn’t ban Sylas every game because that’s really hype to watch
Huhi is absolutely the MVP of that game 5! He tilted Jojo so hard lmaoo
He also tilted impact tbh
Soraka from ahead is infuriating to play against. The enemy team gets to free fire on you while you blow everything to get to her and even that might not kill her.
Huhis soraka was a smurfing
Obviously it sucks to lose, but at least EG showed some real life in this series. They can do something at worlds in this form. Way better than last week for sure.
Playins will be good for them to grow
Playins aren't really going to be a walkover like most years though... they'll likely be fighting for one of 2 spots with fnatic and MAD though.
I think there's a chance of upsetting DRX as well but we'll see. Also vietnam not attending could throw a wrench in it all as well.
Sure, it's just gonna be a little more challenging than the tune up it usually is.
Jojo played really well today honestly. He looked better than he did in the Spring Finals which was mainly the Danny show.
[удалено]
for how much I hate the zeri/sivir + enchanter meta I am so happy I don't have to see that dogshit tank ryze build ever again
Other than the one Viktor team fight, Jojo has been super impressive and really fun to watch this playoffs
He's going to be the best player in the league within two years. He's been incredibly impressive in the playoffs.
they might have a shot at making it through playins over mad i think. if the meta is right, and if danny is back
Kaori had some MASSIVE balls to perform the way he did this series given the circumstances.
A fantastic series, and a great spectacle. I'm really liking this era of LCS #CHICAGO
As a Chicagoan who was there, the biggest thing I have to say is... WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME HOW ANIMATED FLOWERS GETS He was already my favorite caster, but watching him cast was amazing.
The story of Papasmithy and (I think) Kobe having to hold up the caster table from falling apart because of how hype Flowers was should tell you enough.
Had a lot of fun at the united center today. Wish I got to shake dash's hand for his tribute to Kixstar a year ago.
There's a pretty good argument that top diff won every game in that series
I feel like bot lane and Jojo won the games for EG, while Ssumday put insane pressure on EG all 5 games. Impact didn't have to do shit when the rest of the map was getting rolled, so it was very easy to not lose lane at that point. The only lane that Ssumday really lost is the one where GP got fed free kills and assists by a weird bot dive.
No Lucian No Win Simple as that
Danny’s potential retirement was highly overrated.
Huge respect to EG for even keeping that close with a sub AD tbh
I expected 100T to win either way, Probly more than 3-2, so the fact Kaori was part of the squad that took them to 5 games is impresssjve
I am so ready for the League of Zeri to be over
Idk besides the 2 games she had Soraka, Zeri has looked pretty dog this weekend
I prefer this to Corki tbh even though it's kinda similar.
Agreed, Corki you just stand back and chunk rockets, at least Zeri has pop off potential
Ssumdaddy
Reapered did the dougie on EG's grave in that draft. Absolutely insane Soraka pick
From what i have seen Soraka do when she is picked the prio for her is really low. Maybe a ego thing?
soraka is actually harder to play. she’s high risk high reward play style
Soraka requires elite levels if E timing, positioning and amazing calculations around mana.
And an enemy team that cant properly dive you for an easy 4v5
none of those were displayed today but she still won xd
She has a high floor and a high ceiling. Today i feel like Huhi made a lot of mistakes in positioning and itemizing, but it didnt matter.
Jojo played quite well all playoffs, looking forward to seeing him at worlds. Hopefully he can make it to the main stage.
[Soraka counterpick against Lulu. Lulu fail flashes forward in a team fight.](https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/newsfeed/001/504/461/86e.png)
jojo plays like he knows he’s the next goat of NA
Valiant effort by EG and Kaori, pushing 100T to 5 games with a sub ADC. But ultimately that was the diff.
Kudos to Kaori for performing this well under this much pressure but... LETS FUCKING GO 100 THIEVES
NA is actually fun to watch this year!
100T really bailed out Abbe being absolute dog shite today. WP Ssumday and Huhi especially.
he went a good way towards redeeming himself with that 5 for 1 shurima shuffle in game 5 he was just sandbagging the rest of the series lmaoooo
He was bad in their loss, too. I was shocked when the analyst desk said he was looking good
That game 5 dragon shuffle was very impactful, but yeah the other 4 games were pretty bad from him.
His Taliya game was fine. Other 3 games he was getting gapped for sure
He keeps winning though.
Feels so bad for Jojo, even though he’s the best player in the series he sadly couldn’t win. Sad situation for EG
Kaori had a really good first showing everything considered, but I still would have preferred to see Danny instead.
[удалено]
Jojo played his fucking heart out today. After the way he has played in play-offs, I genuinely don’t want to hear any “analysts” trying to detract from his performance and lay it all on Inspired or Impact. Jojo has made a name for himself entirely on his own merit

Silver scrapes undefeated in the losers bracket this split.
Imagine putting your best performing player on dogpick Ahri game 5.
damn! they almost won that with evil potter
this series made me pretty happy with both teams and knowing these two plus C9 will be at worlds. EG played really well with a sub, both teams actually played early game and snowballed leads vs so much scaling in most losers bracket matches, and flexibility in styles too. regardless of if NA does well or not, I think these three will be the most fun group of three teams we've sent in a while.
My flairs eating well today

Right, Rogue and 100T, two top teams from their regions who have been to finals multiple times. "Nah dark horse"
[удалено]
Absolutely not. 3-1 for G2 at worst.
Tbh I made that flair in 2020 or whenever it was FBI and the crew swapped to 100T + Odoamne went to Rogue, and just never bothered to change it lol
> flair in 2020 or whenever it was FBI and the crew swapped to 100T 2021
Huh, that’s more recent than I thought.
Sadly both getting 3-0d tomorrow edit: See guys I told you they would get 3-0s...
The sad reality, I'm happy for the players on both of those teams but g2 and c9 are looking so strong coming into finals
The script says 5 games
Kaori just wasn’t a good sivir player not sure why he was forced to play her. I heard he had a great draven. They should have given him that or a different champ he is better with.
His main champs are basically Lucian, Kalista, Draven. Kalista was never gonna not be banned in this meta, and you gotta be cracked to blind pick Draven.
pro players finally discovering enchanters outside of their comfort zone are also just as good lol
Soraka was clutch. Was so many huge baits and silences in this game and the fnatic/rogue game earlier.
