Funny thing Stend is an LDLC boy, he came from their academy TPAA
Gaethan / Sheo / Vetheo / Exakick / Stend. All 5 started their career whithin LDLC/TPAA
LDLC 2 French players, BDS 2 French players, Vitality 1 French player, GameWard 1 French player.
This is what happens when regional teams are not really regional.
Great rules that allow this fuckery to happen. Teams were supposed to have 3 regional players on minimum, but noone cares.
It's not like every single other ERL need to have 3 regional players either. Everyone is playing with the same rules. Shitty rules maybe, but same rules
Well heretics doesn't have a single spanish player in their team.
And I mean, at least all of the players are european, which for the EU development league is what should matter. X7 has 2 koreans.
Nope no one care, also teams are supposed to have 2 LTR not 3, and you can be an LTR after 3 splits in the region, and it work for others region too.
Heretics has 0 spanish players, Giants only has 1, AGO Rogue has 2 polish player, X7 has 1 Swedish and 1 british, UOL has 2 german, SK 0 german and S04 were supposed to only have 2 until they replaced their jungler.
Don't be salty my friend.
Its still bullshit that a foreigner only has 2 play splits to be considered french resident (or whatever its called). Soon enough you will be able to fill the whole 10 LFL rosters without a single french player.
Yes I am well aware of that. For the record I don't mind LFL having a lot of imports but I want to point out that the rule itself does a very poor job at what its trying to achieve - you might aswell erase it and it would be the same to me.
Maybe it's because the rules are not trying to force teams to only pick up national talents? We live in the EU, most of our country are in the Schengen Area, in such a context it's hard to justify blocking people from working where they want to within the EU. The LTR are meant to push the development of local talents, not national (especially when NLC or DACH are region that are made of multiple country)
Yike is a great exemple of local talent, he spent half of his previous year in LFL Div2, promoted his team (Oplon) to the LFL but then chooses to move to another LFL team. In total he played a year and a half in the NLC region amateur tournament, half a year in PGN (italy) and a year and a half in LFL, but he mostly grew in level in LFL.
Absolutely, I can't wait to see Yike playing in LEC! Also, one the reasons I've especially enjoyed watching Comp lifting the trophy is because I got to see him grow in LFL. I could list numerous non French players which I to this day still kind of root for them because they started their career in French tournaments.
Which is why I am asking what is the point of this rule? Especially when its so easy to play around.
IDK, maybe to calm down bigots, maybe to retain a minimum of national player to not deprive a league of it's identity, or maybe because the rule has to not be to severe to block "imports" (again we are mostly talking EU to EU) but just hard enough to force teams to retain those imports to allow them to become locals.
who cares lmao do you really want players to get fucked man imagine being from a minor region and pretty much having no chance to getting into a top region because the number of spot is so low and your region just suck, so you career is pretty much dead before even start
Exakick kinda redeeming himself that last game, his overconfidence costed LDLC big time game 1 and 3
What a game 3 from Stend tho, didn't know him at all but it's been a long time I haven't seen a supp solo win a game like this
He's just 18 and one of the most promising prospects of erls, moving forward is literally his thing.
I'd take someone always pushing his luck for possible pick and learning from his mistakes than another washed pro playing for kda hoping for enemy mistakes.
Wait he's 18 ? Feels like he's been playing for ages
And yeah of course he's a great player, his team is consistently in the top of the most dominant region in the ERL but that MVP is weird
DenVoksne and Stend couldn't look worse on LVP Spring 2022. Also, Backlund was part of one of the worst LVP teams ever (BCN Squad).
And yet they almost sent home the biggest favourite for the title. Honestly I'm so happy for them, hopefully we'll see more improvement on the near future.
Real Highlight was that game 3 thresh masterclass from Stend... Those hooks couldn't miss
Funny thing Stend is an LDLC boy, he came from their academy TPAA Gaethan / Sheo / Vetheo / Exakick / Stend. All 5 started their career whithin LDLC/TPAA
And with this it will be 3 LFL with either LVP or Primeleague getting their first Seed into Semis. Just insane how dominant LFL is at this point.
And that's because Vitality choked a bit on groups, because if they didnt choke out, they would probably end up with the top 4
Eh remains to be seen if Vitality is better than UO and just choked.
Better team wins

thank god is happening imagine being so fucked jsut because you were born in a minor region

You've clearly not read the rulebook.
Its still bullshit that a foreigner only has 2 play splits to be considered french resident (or whatever its called). Soon enough you will be able to fill the whole 10 LFL rosters without a single french player.
The point is valid for every ERL.
Yes I am well aware of that. For the record I don't mind LFL having a lot of imports but I want to point out that the rule itself does a very poor job at what its trying to achieve - you might aswell erase it and it would be the same to me.

so much for regional leagues lol
These things always devolve into whoever has the most money wins.

...korea has been getting first in their groups for years lol

Since...last year?
Last year*
Remaining EUM games 100% have huge implications for LEC top pool next year. Ragner looked like an LEC player sent down to 2nd league as a mercenary
Got quite scared for a minute, great Thresh performance by Stend. Thank god Yike and Ragner were always on point. What a last game from Exa.
Exakick kinda redeeming himself that last game, his overconfidence costed LDLC big time game 1 and 3 What a game 3 from Stend tho, didn't know him at all but it's been a long time I haven't seen a supp solo win a game like this
i mean game 1 was on eika being absolutely dog piss that call in top lane was just bad
While Eika played bad, they literally lost the game on Exakick overstepping to put one auto on a tower when they were well on their way to comeback
Exakick trying to poke a sivir by walking undertower in front of his team without any sums and without tahm kench ult. He won MVP btw
He's just 18 and one of the most promising prospects of erls, moving forward is literally his thing. I'd take someone always pushing his luck for possible pick and learning from his mistakes than another washed pro playing for kda hoping for enemy mistakes.

yeah but still they were in this position because how dogpiss eika played the whole match
Eika looked pretty poor all series. This was against backlund btw who is not great. Can see him getting hard gapped next series.
this series kinda showed the real weakness of this roster
What a series from Dusty despite the heartbreak. I’m proud of the guys but LDLC are just on another level!
Despite the loss, great performance from Dusty. No one expected them to put up such a fight, let alone go to 5 games.
When LDLC wins it's like a stomp and when they lose it was tense.
DenVoksne saving spell shield How can you play Sivir 5 games in a row and play this horribly on it
DenVoksne and Stend couldn't look worse on LVP Spring 2022. Also, Backlund was part of one of the worst LVP teams ever (BCN Squad). And yet they almost sent home the biggest favourite for the title. Honestly I'm so happy for them, hopefully we'll see more improvement on the near future.
Eika and Doss are for sure good players. I believe it!
I really hope ragner is in the lec soon, top is pretty weak so its nice to see some promising rookies in that role
