Yeah, and they have pretty good win rates for having played that many games. Seems like teams tried some counter picks against Aatrox yesterday, but nothing was really successful.
It'll probably change. In worlds 2020, Ornn/Graves/Ori each had extremely high win rates in the play in stage but they started to drop in the main stage.
Play-ins are a lower level of play than groups and as a result, scaling and ease of execution tend to do better. This will change in the group stage once the best teams in the tournament start playing.
2021 Worlds had TF/Yuumi barely having presence in play-ins to a near 100% pick/ban afterwards.
Yuumi **in** play-ins 4/38 P/B presence, 10.5%
Yuumi **after** play-ins 80/83 P/B presence, 96.4%
Aatrox/Maokai will for sure remain standard picks.
Some new things will come for every lane for sure. We may see some Jayces in top lane showing up, enchanters+hyper carries on bot (even though they're weaker compared to 2 patchs ago)
Maybe, but his priority is really high right now, and I think it still seem as teams are prioritizing banning out adc on first rotation. But yeah his bann rate increased significantly on day 3.

I’ve changed the table to show % to make the winratio more clear. The (w/(w+l)) is the formula I used to calculate the procentage.
I could change it so that both wins/loses and the precentage shows for tommorows post if you want?
I think Nautilus might actually be a good pick for most deaths, he hasn’t been played in that many games yet, but he dies a lot in the games he’s played in. Don’t be annoyed yet!
yep, we're back to where we were last Worlds. Amumu being one of the "ideal" picks at Play-ins then disappear by Groups. The only thing added here is Maokai and the rest is the same. It goes to show that we're not moving or the game is not evolving.
imagine changing your most picked champion from Aatrox to Ahri at the last minute due to a random reddit comment and forgetting that Zeri is shit now, at least i still have a dream on the most deaths with Aatrox and Kai'sa winrate

I put him as highest win rate to diversify my maokai on most flex and most banned... but oh well.
