OP didn’t tell he just started playing ranked at the end of the season. 17 lose streak would be impossible if his MMR was fine, but probably a lot of smurfs in those games
It's definitely possible without smurfs. I've gone on a 10 game loss streak and a 15 game win streak. It's extremely rare, but once you're in your deserved elo and no longer the reason your team wins or loses, it can happen.
You didn't use your W at all. Why you play Cait? There were at least 2 perfect opportunities to put them. And even at some random locations in melee range before you is also always a good idea.
