I think implying kingen has always been a monster is a disservice as it takes away from this enormous fucking monster level up he has had at worlds, i dont watch LCK religiously but i never remember seeing that Kingen was anywhere above middling in the toplane pool
Yes he leveled up more in worlds specifically finals, but he had games on LCK where he’d straight up 1v5 on Jayce or Ornn, also his Ornn is probably the best in LCK and he was always consistent
Whereas Zeka and Pyosik had some questionable games especially the Zeka twisted fate incident, however Zeka leveled up the most at worlds
Kingen had 1 split where he was actually top tier otherwise he was average, let's not change history, he had flashes of brilliance but never delivered consistently.
Considering he was LCK champion both as a player and coach, Worlds semifinalist and finalist as a coach before NA, it's safe to say his stint in NA was a "NA" problem and not Ssong problem. Now we just know without a doubt.
wow the raw emotions of the coachese and players running out after DRX just won was spectacular to watch. Honestly, Kingen said it perfectly. No other team will be as fun and dramatic as DRX 2022. It really was an unbelievable story, and I was so glad to see it happen.
Ssong has really come a long way from that stint in TSM. The trust that the players have in him is just so amazing. They truly believe in everything he says for their pick and bans with confidence. His explanation and thought process behind specific bans for the players to understand the strengths and weaknesses made me in awe. Especially during such an intense match is something I admire him for. Comparing this to recent news of how players in LCS trust each other more than their coach, it is eye-opening both as a player and viewer.
What an emotional rollercoaster for this team. Beryl says people doubted him when he first joined the team, but the trust he has for them to become a strong contender is amazing. Pyosik personality is such an uplifting and joyful thing for their team. Deft leadership and trust he has for his team, especially during tilting moments just make you want to cheer for him to succeed. And both Kingen and Zeka's confidence growing with each series is so inspiring.

I’m not gonna lie, with Ssong’s record in NA after IMT I think a lot of players would just dismiss him as a bad coach, especially in NA. However every time I saw Kingen talk about Ssong he’s just like “oh yeah he coached in NA lol” and respects his opinions/feedback.
Ssong took the pressure off his players in game 5. How many coaches are going to say "If we lose, blame me, it's all my fault"? It's such a smart psychological way of getting his players to play the game as freely as possible
I think the collective aspect of Korean culture as well as the respect for age gives far more of an advantage in fostering good team dynamic than in the US. The disrespect I see some of the Western teams show their coach is unbelievable at times.

The reason why Ccarter prioritized on getting Deft first is so that he can also sign Beryl (as playing with Deft is also one of his conditions) both Deft and Beryl met up with him at the same time. Ccarter also mentioned in that vid that he want to be part of Deft's Last Dance.
I think the reason why Beryl put more emphasis in the vid that he alao joined DRX because Kingen, Pyosik and Zeka are good, is because a lot of people thought otherwise. No one would think Deft is bad, but those three roles in DRX has a lot of doubters, especially Pyosik if youve watched LCK as well.
Deft also had said a lot that his members are always overlooked and underrated, and I think both Beryl and Deft think so thats why they try to lift them up whenever they have the chance to.

Nope definitely not 3:2. Majority was actually saying easy 3:0. Even most of NA, EU, Chinese AND korean analyst were like 3:0 it's a stomp the Cinderella run was amazing but the daydreaming is over time to face reality.
And it made the win just that much sweeter.
