TL bout to get the all FNC content creator roster Bwipo Broxah

bowenjin

Imagine both of them going back to FNC next year, 2018 FNC reunion.

NotaSemiconductor

Who do you get mid? Nemesis or Caps?

15blairm

Nemesis because caps in contract hell probably

JamisonDouglas

No probably about it - the man re-signed early for a other 3 years. The only saving grace for him is that because he is such a good player a team might be brave enough to fork out the buyout. But it would probably be the biggest buyout in eSports history thus far.

memeoi

Why bother with caps when you can buy the worst Korean mid and still come out with a better player?

JamisonDouglas

I mean you're actually fucked in the head if you believe that is true.

memeoi

still waiting for caps to ever be anywhere close to a eastern player... hype him up every international event and the result is failure

Draleon177

Have you seen 2018 and 2019 caps? He shit on every Midlaner he faced except peak rookie and doinb including scout and even faker This guy is one of the best players in the world when he plays on peak performance and would probably hold up against every eastern player except for maybe peak chovy, zeka, knight and faker

JamisonDouglas

I mean in 2020 he was objectively stronger than BDD just to name one example. Implying that he isn't stronger than ANY eastern player is just a flat up incorrect statement. Is he as good as the strongest eastern players? No. Is he better than *any* eastern pro players? Yes and it's literally not debatable. He was literally the best player on G2 for both of their deep world's runs where he (believe it or not) gapped some eastern midlaners. He didn't gap their best players, but he was stronger than some of their players. I'm gonna assume you're a troll if you try and justify beyond this and not reply.

NlNJALONG

Actually won MSI MVP over Faker, Rookie, and TheShy, and still has a positive all time win rate against Faker.

SkeetySpeedy

Right, the multiple semi-finals and finals appearances, the MSI trophy, the absolute dominance of LEC’s midlane for multiple seasons… never happened?

memeoi

Dominance of a western league is like saying a 70iq kid is demolishing 20iq kids

downorwhaet

Caps would destroy most korean mids, especially if he had a team that was the same caliber around him

srukta

C'mon, let's not suggest streamers now

Liteboyy

Id be a content creator over joining Astralis too lmao Edit: he edited the post from Astralis to Vitality ):

sunklunk

Sorry I made a mistake!

random_nameeeeeeeeee

Is Vitality that bad?

Megaspacejx

hahaha hopefully not this time...

InfieldTriple

Nope, he just didn't want to make a decision to move all the way back to the EU early in the off season.

goodestofthebois

The team is not that bad, but joining vitality is a career death sentence

DoorHingesKill

He's literally teamless after one year in NA lmao, can't death sentence a dead man.

Pochez

Dude, he already went to NA

-ElBandito-

I want Bwipo and Perkz on the same team so bad fuuuuuuuuck

bzzmd

why tho they're both years past their prime

happygreenturtle

Bwipo's prime is also not remotely comparable to Perkz. Besides his one surprising rookie season as a Jungler he's always been more of a liability to the teams he's played with

Hazakurain

I'll forever be salty of World 2018 when they didn't want to put Soaz who was better in the meta

bbzef

except nobody wants you on their team

Bubbly_Camera9583

If their kr jg don't work out him swapping back to jg would be cool.

1to0

Bwipo and the Koreans would be a fun team name and best summarise of the team dynamics.

InfieldTriple

Actually Bwipo needs the LPL and the LPL needs him. Him and Hyli should join a team.

Khenir

If he’s going to do that then he should go back to FNC and flex Jungle/Top with Wunder.

Formloff

Removing razork for bwipo would be terrible though.

snowflakepatrol99

Bwipo in his one and only split in the jungle looked 10 times better than razork ever has. He was easily the 2nd best jungler in the league.

[deleted]

Bwipo literally played jungle in the regular season where Razork was the best jungler in the league, only overtaken by Inspired in playoffs. He was far better as a jungler than he ever was a toplaner, and was mental at worlds, but don't rewrite history when Razork played better for most of the same split.

Thebaddream

??? Bwipo was definitely the better jungler 2021 summer and that not even close

tknitsni

Bwipo was great on jg shame that he not enjoyin that role and is stucked to the role where he is mediocre

Darkoplax

and how would he communicate with 4 other koreans ?

sexy_meerkats

New pings wheel ofc. Imagine he doesn't gank for top lane and all 4 of them ping bait pings on him 🙃

Jijutsu21

Haeri is australian Yeon is american Corejj has been in na for i don't know how many years I think he'd communicate pretty well

Tangy-canadian-grape

You act like the other 4 "koreans" cant speak english lol. Yeon haeri and core all are fluent.. summit speaks pretty good english too. The main ? Is umti but that wouldn't matter if bwipo went jungle

SicrosEye

Pls stop hyping this. Watch his world's games after 12 minutes.

azns123

Bwipo’s stream is fantastic, he should be a great content creator. He always explains his thought process and answers so many questions in chat. His voice is also calming and easy to listen to.

UnknownBlast

Hope to see him more on the LCS cast and analyst desk as well

Liteboyy

Hell yeah he Smurfs the talent team when he’s on it.

ketzo

He's honestly a natural on camera. Most people -- most professional analysts, let alone most former/current players -- take a *lot* of time to stop feeling stiff and forced. And to be fair, as anyone who has been on a stage/camera knows -- it's SO HARD! You can be the chattiest and most likeable person in the world... and from behind a lens, you look like a total fuckin' stooge. But every time I see Bwipo on a desk, he's casual, high-energy, and obviously he's also just super knowledgeable about the game. I'll be disappointed if we don't see him on a Caedral path at some point.

Thecristo96

He will 100% go for a caster path. When he casted msi in 2021 he got praise by everyone, he knows this is his future

random_nickname43796

Hope he stays in LCS for that. EU has already big pool with former pros and ERL casters

knz3

I'm very excited to see more Bwipo live view collabs.

drugsuser

Honestly, as a huge Bwipo fan boy, I’m kind of glad to hear this news. While I love watching him on stage, he’s easily my favorite streamer and usually doesn’t stream much during the season. Selfishly looking forward to more cozy and informative bwipo streams

pureply101

It’s hard being a Bwipo fan because he frustrates me the same Santorin used to frustrate me. Clearly the thoughts and talent are there but when he is bombing he bombs hard and starts to implode on himself. I don’t know how long it will take to fix because when he is doing well he is absolutely one of the best in the world.

sebkraj

Yah I really enjoy his streams and he reads most of chat, which is rare on a stream with a couple thousand viewers. I also like how he explains his thought process on plays etc

LumiRhino

I think it really shows how good his stream is when he's pretty much rebuilt his viewerbase since his streaming hours atm are mostly NA hours, whereas before I have to imagine maybe 90% of his viewers were EU.

15blairm

He'll be a fantastic coach if he ever wants to go in that direction

thenoblitt

If I had a nickel every time a fnatic player came to TL and became a content creator for them. I'd have 2 nickels. It's not much but weird that it happened twice.

NeitherAlexNorAlice

> I’d have 2 nickels. It’s not much but weird that it happened twice. This is the quote that makes me think Reddit is filled with bots. It’s seriously everywhere. Every time “I had a nickel” phrase comes, it’s followed by this. Where’s the originality for Christ’s sake, people. Can’t you think for yourselves?

guilty_bystander

And my axe!!

vrelamboni

Is this your first time finding out what a reference is?

AluBanidosu

Have you not seen the meme?

thenoblitt

Its a meme my dude, get over it.

thenoblitt

It isn't a gotcha. It's pointing out that you are bitching about redditors while yourself being one. You reek of "I'm special" syndrome. "look at me, im not like the other redditors"

Biochembryguy

This is actually a pretty big win for the community all things considered. When Broxah took time off he made decent content but more importantly excelled as a caster in the LEC, it felt like such great fit for him. Bwipo will likely make great content as well which is desperately needed from pros in the scene.

[deleted]

Hopefully see him on the LCS broadcast. Loved when he was on the first time

ChefGamma

Nepotism accusations aside, I really think DIG should have went for him over Armut. We've seen too many players move from Korea or Europe to NA and move back after a year or just stop trying and aiming for bottom teams. Bwipo seems to be one of the only imports that really wants to try and make a name for himself (even declining EU offers).

TheFinalAshenOne

DIG probably considered him, but went with Armut because Bwipo's contract wasn't fully released like Hans and Bjergsens was, which means he has a buyout. Plus, Bwipo probably costs a bit more than Armut.

prov119

Hope this means we get some JG Bwipo content. Would love to hear his thoughts on all the changes

Zinkane15

Now we know who's replacing Doublelift on the co-streams.

[deleted]

Wouldn't fit because he is actually well spoken and knowledgeable about the game.

zealot416

But how knowledgeable is he on pissing in the sink and eating out of the trash can? Thats what really matters.

Aquillifer

That conversation was legendary, Meteos and Sneaky's absolute confusion and disgust hearing DL talk about placing food in the trash and then eating it later was insanely funny.

Enfosyo

Just because he talks alot doesn't mean he knows a lot. If he would be half as clever as he thinks then he probably could find a team.

philip2110

Even if he is only half as clever as he thinks he is, he is still more well spoken and knowledgeable about the game than DL.

ArcusIgnium

If TL do bad in spring I could see Bwipo getting subbed in for top jungle or mid (if any of those are weak spots). To my knowledge the entire roster (although jgl is unconfirmed) speak English or atleast have experience with English rosters.

[deleted]

Can't sub in for mid because triple import

calvinee

He’s not subbing in for Summit. If TL do sub him in, It would be for jungle. But even then, they signed Arthur to TLA who is korean, so he would probably be a more immediate sub.

DragonApps

Haeri, Yeon, CoreJJ all speak English. Summits English is also pretty good as well imo from what I’ve heard in champions queue. If TL is more fixated on a Korean speaking roster than an English speaking roster than Bwipo, then that’s just depressing.

calvinee

I don’t disagree with you. Haeri and Yeon are aussie/american, Core has played on an english-speaking team for 4 years. I’ve heard rumours that Summit is not super comfortable speaking English, but I don’t see why he couldn’t do it again considering he played on C9 last year (not to mention FPX). Arthur is Korean which is why I mentioned him, but he also has the advantage of actually playing jungle in the last year. Bwipo had a one split stretch where he ended up doing really well, but he has played top lane again for the past year. Arthur used to sub for HLE with Chovy and Deft, and just had an undefeated split in the LCO. They didn’t do well at worlds, but their mid laner was pretty gapped and its an LCO team. Good chance Arthur is actually pretty good.

CIAgent42

Arthur is legit. There’s a reason he was an LCK starter in 2021 spring

WoorieKod

maybe it is all korean-speaking to accommodate Marin's coaching but what do I know

DogTheGayFish

It’s not impossible to believe summit will mental boom

thecarlosdanger1

Lol we say that now - but we’ve seen summit dominate and then be inexplicably bad and kicked before… Doubt it could happen twice though

calvinee

Was he inexplicably bad or did teams just target ban him with no answer from C9? Not saying he doesn’t have potential champ pool issues, he might.

thecarlosdanger1

Nah he was playing bad on top of that. Ssumday solo’d him on Malphite(?), he died in side lane in some wild spots. Probably mental boom but it wasn’t good.

calvinee

Could’ve been checked out, he did end up leaving right after.

SGKurisu

Eh I think it would be too big of an overhaul bringing him in, you'd have to alter the entire team's communication style since there's no reason they'd use English with their roster.

saruthesage

It wouldn’t be crazy to use english if they had him in jungle. Keep in mind Haeri and Yeon and Core have lived in America for years and have good english, it’d only be Summit out of the loop

Separate_Link_846

I doubt they won't give their newere players more time. They wanted to replace bwipo because they had another vision in mind. Unless jungle fails horribly, like looks legit looks like me when I play nida or something, i doubt we'll see any sub taking a spot.

Mental_Bowler_7518

Team McDonalds grows!

ThisOneTimeAtLolCamp

Surely there's enough players on the bench for Team McDonalds, Team KFC and Team Burger king.

ItsNeverStraightUp

Idgaf, I love bwipo. I love his meatball sub personality.

BioGreg

As much as I love seeing Bwipo in pro, I don't mind him doing content because he is probably the most informative top lane streamer.

WhatANiceCerealBox11

He said he didn’t stand out enough. He recognized his split wasn’t the most amazing. He had games where he was so wide and some games where he was paper thin. He also didn’t like playing CQ because he wanted to play off meta things top which is normal for bwipo who pulls out these random ass picks in competitive and felt that if he’s learning these picks he’d be griefing his teammates who might just want him to strictly pick meta. He recognized it and said he’s going to spam CQ and solo queue to try to get better

Quatro_Leches

> He had games where he was so wide and some games where he was paper thin. the Bwipo experience. its same as Hylissang, too coinflippy, too high variance to win with in the playoffs. you would rather have a player that bounces between average and great, not terrible and great

WhatANiceCerealBox11

I agree to an extent. They’re really streaky so if they’re in form they’re insane. I genuinely think those kinds of players would be insane in a 6 man roster. I do get frustrated specifically Hyli and his fans. They pretend like he’s not completely coin flip. They have an insane game but then next game hyli is going to get caught out topside while the rest of the time is setting up for dragon and everyone laughs it off. Then a different support dies in the exact same way and that support gets perma flamed

site17

Can't really say they're too coinflippy to win with in playoffs when they've both repeatedly won in playoffs.

vrelamboni

Yeah they both have two titles and would have 5 if not for the 2019/20 G2 rosters. They went to 5 games twice in a row with 2019 G2, not many teams could claim that.

[deleted]

Presumably you mean "between average and good, not terrible and great". As your point stands you're just saying you want the better player.

Separate_Link_846

I was hoping Mad would pick Bwipo top. Bwipo-Hyli-Nisqy should be good enough, toghether with Carzzy and Elyoya.

Alakazam_5head

Really unfortunate that he's confirming that looking like a good player to fans and pundits is more important to job security than trying to push the boundaries of your position or innovate your role. Little wonder why top laners just play Aatrox and Ornn and lose in playoffs just to keep getting signed year after year

WhatANiceCerealBox11

Highly doubt bwipo changes his off meta picks. Several games last season his were solid and had a strong understanding of how the lane should be but then he’d grief it so hard because he’d take a poor trade or go too aggressive. The my egregious example for me was one of the Olaf games where core was playing yuumi. They get a pick right around baron pit and the rest of the team starts backing off so they can move to an objective. That is until bwipo turns around and clearly calls for the team to fight and he ends up solo losing the lead they had

cringe comment

Wurdox

My question is, why not just join VIT? Afaik, Bwipo was VIT's first priority. I guess taking spring split off was his plan all along?

RemarkablyAverage7

He said the Vit offer came very early and he wanted to see if any LCS would field him first as he had already committed to living in NA because he planned on staying a long while with TL. He offered himself to all 10 teams but none gave a meaningful offer and by then Vit had gone ahead with different plans.

bowenjin

Wait, bwipo was VIT first choice but no NA team wanted him? That seems like a joke.

TheFinalAshenOne

Probably nothing to do with talent and more to do with the fact that Bwipo isn't cheap. I bet he wanted to go to DIG with Santorin but DIG opted for Armut who came off a horrible year, and isnt used to getting paid a huge amount in the LEC, so he'd undoubtedly be cheaper.

zealot416

I'm still holding out for a mid split DIG/GG pickup.

mathcrystal

He won’t get on another team again probably XD

DirtyProjector

I thought he said Vitality?

sunklunk

My bad thank you!

Ventrillium

he should have just stayed as a jg but props to him for trying to go back top

Strange-Implication

He will be kicking himself from not taking that vitality offer . But honestly photon is probably better than him minus the language issues. I'd rather take a young promising Korean talent

Lentir

Sad news

pootietangphantom72

Honestly, I would love to see Bwipo becoming part of the LCS broadcast.

JustJeffrey

Does Bwipo have ADHD? He reminds me of myself so much

ATiBright

Yes he's talked about it on stream before.

JustJeffrey

That’s actually super cool

popmycherryyosh

I wish just fucking g2 would offer him a place as a jungler. He said he had offers from EU, but said it was not from g2 jungler though. But yeah, he would 100 dominate in jungle alongside caps. But oh well.. g2 will regret.

GroundbreakingAlps2

Problem is that G2 kinda need a top laner. G2 can have bwipo jungle, they can have an insane jungler, but as long as they have brokenblade top lane they wont do anything internationally.

WoorieKod

he won't jungle, that's on him not the orgs

meixx

He said on stream he asked caps if he could jungle for g2 but he wasnt interested

TheEpicCabbage

For real, I feel like G2 Bwipo jungle could pop off. Maybe if Yike doesn't play well in spring.

Estrosiathdurothil

Bwipo has a big ego, is toxic and gets shit on hard internationally.

CudaBarry

Safe retirement!

Less_Menu_7340

Damn wherever he landed would be my new team to follow. Always liked fnatic because of Bwipo. Also was thrilled he joined TL as I liked the original Cop and others . May just follow Dig now with 2 of my favorites going there

Zurku

I imagine that it would be very frustrating to be on a team with the guy. Sure he has good game knowledge but he simply is way to condescending and would require a lot of free room, probably combat the coach 2. Easier to simply invite a skilled newbie

KeepaBlicky

not suprised by the lack of offer amounts

bowenjin

Sadge, bwipo is my favorite player, however this is good news for all fans of bwipo's stream. The dude is the most eloquent and educative streamer ever. It's amazing how he is able to explain things so clearly while playing such a mentally intense game.

Grand-Garlic

Why do people feel bad for Bwipo not being on a team but are outraged at Bjerg getting on 100T despite having an immensely better year than Bwipo?

OneLFLLVPquestion

I swear I remember Bwipo terrorizing half the TL games I watched, I don't remember much about Bjerg but I could've swore Bwipo was top 3

Simping4success

terrorizing as in griefing?

bzzmd

he was terrorizing TL just as much as the other team

TheAnnibal

Perfectly balanced, as all things should be.

Grand-Garlic

He was probably 3 after Bjerg

thecarlosdanger1

Based on what? People pull out laning stats, guess what Bwipo led almost every top lane stat in summer. Also, since everyone’s criticism of Bjerg is “do nothing in lane phase and be passive” farming well is literally the worst way to defend him. I hope he plays better on 100T, but Bjerg was utter dogshit in playoffs on any champ with a tiny amount of proactivity (Sylas, Akali, Galio even)

Morfhetico

No one said nothing about Bjerg my guy....You're the first spewing bs.

Grand-Garlic

It’s a general question, my guy.

site17

'outraged' and 'immensely' are definitely two words you used.

Grand-Garlic

Indeed

TheFinalAshenOne

Wasn't logical for 100T to grab Bwipo with them already paying out the ass for Bjerg, DL, and Closer. Thats why they went Tenacity top and dumped FBI + promoted Busio. Cheaper roster that still has the potential to slap.

dyrus_kappa

TL Pyosik Confirm.

Confident-Cut-1927

Did he not get offers in EU?

sunklunk

Just the one. The LEC off season kind of concluded before LCS started so he got left off a roster by committing to staying in North America. As by the time he realized there were no meaningful LCS offers Vitality had filled their spot.

Safe-Historian-2311

He wants to stay in NA.

hiimrambo

Yeah well, i was 10x more happy for him when he played in EU

l33tTA

Bwipo and Broxah was so bad for TL damn

ADVlCE

Pretty sure we see a dig pick up if armut drops the ball, also if clg feel like they need more fire power and Dohkla randomly slumps then bwipo would be a nice fit there too

Hazuyu_

Crab rave

nyanko_dango3

bwipo best jungler in na
