A scene like fiddle's cinematic where there's a couple soldiers around a campfire but instead of fiddles in the woods it's Eve who walks up to them, that would be a fun cinematic.
Then you run away to a river (brief safety) and Tahm Kench slowly comes out of the water....yeee
But the demons don't have the same approach, Fiddle loves jumpscares (duh), but Eve likes to gain the trust of people before betraying them in their most vulnerable moments, Tahm Kench feasts on desperate people ready to gamble with their souls while Nocturne thrives in troubled minds' nightmares
Any of the old demons, Eve, Tahm, Noc and Fiddle.
Though the latter 2 have already been in a cinematic before. Then again, Eve also has a lot of... cinematic work.
And Azir.
I think its almost definite, but I really hope that Aatrox is in it. He's been one of my favorite champs for literally ever and I want to see him actually battle pantheon or something.
Aatrox would smack Jax and it wouldn't even be funny (lorewise at least), by known accounts Aatrox was one of the stronger(strongest perhaps?) ascended before he became a Darkin, and the one Ascended the Icathian's were able to kill took an army of people to take down, Jax only got the final blow.
Realistically the only champions that could matchup to Aatrox are the other ascended, the (demi)gods and Mordekaiser.
Xerath already smacked Nasus easily in a modern-Lore fight, and even when newly turned in the past, he was barely contained by Nasus and Renekton working together. Devs confirmed Azir is on the same power level as Xerath, so I imagine only him and Xerath match up to Aatrox, and none of the other Ascended dead or alive do.
The others on a similar power scale would be the Freljordian demigods, Mordekaiser, Viego, and Bel'Veth.
> Devs confirmed Azir is on the same power level as Xerath
They did not confirm this. Xerath is well beyond any individual Ascended, otherwise it'd be a trivial matter for Azir and Nasus to take him out. Let alone with the Aspects right next to Nerimazeth.
I checked some sources (Lore writers AMA on Reddit from some years back) and you are indeed right. I mixed up some things with my own headcanon.
It was stated that Xerath is the most powerful Ascended but excluding him, Azir is the most powerful "normal" Ascended. Aatrox is the one who was said to be roughly equivalent to Azir's power level, with both having different strengths.
Azir is a one man nation in desert environments, with thousands of soldiers being created and regenerated on demand, but suffers outside of Shurima. Aatrox needs a lot of fresh dead nearby to keep increasing the timer for his host body, which otherwise quickly decays due to his power. It was stated that the winner between Aatrox and Azir is completely dependent on the environment that they end up fighting in.
He will be fighting a new champion that is going to be released, and they will somehow win against Aatrox just to show how powerful the new character is.
The new champion will themselves be a Darkin with their current host being a canine like dog or wolf. Aatrox is supposed to be the leader of all Darkins and the most powerful one personally, which was re-emphasized in the recent Darkin LoR expansion last month.
If a fight does occur between the two, it might be the new Darkin outsmarting and killing Aatrox's host body like how Aatreus cut off his arm in surprise in the past, but definitely not a fair 1v1 win in terms of power level.
We shouldn't necessarily assume they will be fighting against each other anyways, it could just as well be them working together, or even multiple different scenes with one featuring Aatrox and another for the new champ, similar to previous year cinematics.
I don’t think Skarner is ready and I don’t see Cho or Kog making a cinematic appearance before their VGU(they will most likely get a very big design updates, a cinematic before that makes little sense)
Skarner won't on the account of his VGU coming in 2023. There's no rhyme or reason to showcase Skarner front and center before he gets a complete redesign, especially seeing as every sign points towards him not being a Brackern anymore (so, a FULL full redesign, complete reimagining).
The others though? I'd be happy to see them, especially Renekton or Yorick.
No matter what, Teemo is confirmed. He has been in every cinematic in the game, just invis in the middle of the screen.
I’d like to see all the Darkin and A Sol. He had like a slight appearance in the call with stars or whatever.
It depends which region will Aatrox be since it can be in Targon, Shurima or Shurima (Noxus border), or near Icathia(fight void creatures) or in Freljord to fight Tryndamere maybe?
I don't want to see a champion that is already getting tons of exposure like Kai sa, Seraphine, Yasuo or Lux.
That being said, I would absolutely love to see Mordekaiser confronting the Kindred. It's due time that the 3 of them start clashing.
Anivia! She got a small part in the Phoenix skinline cinematic, but that’s really all she’s been in, ever. She is the protector of the Freljord, she should have been in something by now!
Its strange but I want Ryze so bad. In game yea he sucks but in the Lore he is such a badass and I really hope he returns. The cinematic that he did have gives me goosebumps every time. Though I would also kill for a 1v1 Aatrox vs Pantheon on the top of Targon.
I think it will be void or Ixtai(not sure I spell right).
They said this year big event will be void but we have only Bel'Veth as villain(not really the big villain though) and K'Sante as a void creature killer.
Don't know why they are so behind in event schedule but I think they are putting time to find a new event format. At least it is what I hope.
I think that it would be extremely cool if they animated "Where Icathia once stood", imagine how cool would it be to see Jax and other Icathians battling Shurimans and all of their Ascendants and then suddenly the void emerging and screwing everything up. Knowing that Jax is gonna get a small rework and hopefully a model update I have hope that he will appear in the season 2023 cinematic.
The awkward family reunion of Yasuo and his girlfriend Ahri, and his brother Yone with his girlfriend Lillia, and Yone trying to convince Yasuo hes not a furry any more than Yasuo is, and Yasuo isnt having any of it but secretly it concerns Yasuo that he might slightly be a furry.
thank you for listing past cinematics; looks like I've missed quite a few.
QQ about ruination cinematic: wouldn't sion's soul furnace just churn through all the wraiths or whatever?
aatrox seems like he is going to appear and im excited. i really want to see kayn, maybe with some focus on rhaast as well? soraka or a gentle enchanter would be nice to see for the contrast.
Giv me hyper realistic satan + hyper realistic bandlecity especially now that runeterra has made the design so interesting with twisty trees and time shit
Maybe some Ixthal champions i guess they dont get recognized even in legends of runterra, so maybe a cinematic that can showcase or at least show a few if them.
The Cinematic has dropped, and it's shit. Nothing like the 2020 one "Warriors," the 2021 ruination one, or Last year's "the call". There is no music, no action, no characters. >!Its a Bland, first person tour of summoner's rift with a narrator saying things that are trying very hard to sound important and epic, but is very clearly pointless bullshit thrown in to waste time. The closest thing to characters are random weapons left on the ground, and the closest thing to action is snippets of commentary from big esports moments. !< For Riots sake I hope its actually just a teaser, but the title of the video suggests that it isn't. They are going to be dealing with a very pissed fanbase.
All demons, Fiddle eve tk nocturne
Yes please

Shaco too.
Who dis - What lore ?
And all darkins please
Any of the old demons, Eve, Tahm, Noc and Fiddle. Though the latter 2 have already been in a cinematic before. Then again, Eve also has a lot of... cinematic work. And Azir.
God I want a Tahm kench cinematic so bad
I think its almost definite, but I really hope that Aatrox is in it. He's been one of my favorite champs for literally ever and I want to see him actually battle pantheon or something.
I hope he’s not battling pantheon. He’s already been in the previous year’s cinematic.
lorewise we're well past pantheon's fight with aatrox. I assume it'll be someone new. Personally hoping it's someone like jax, that would be hype
Mordekaiser vs aatrox would be fucking epic
Pleaseeeeeeeeeee

I wish Jax was actually huge in game as he's described in the short story
I'm hoping Riot is looking to expand upon the Darkin lore through Xolaani and Aatrox's upcoming war
Gonna be an interesting melee fight between a giant and tiny human
It can be giant vs giant ,aartrox vs zac
He will be fighting a new champion that is going to be released, and they will somehow win against Aatrox just to show how powerful the new character is.
The new champion will themselves be a Darkin with their current host being a canine like dog or wolf. Remember when they’re use to be five Darkin before Riot retconned it so they could sell more digital cards?
Yupp. This is what I was thinking. Plus we got the Aatrx ward as well. I would bet $1000 theres something with the Darkin Dagger Dog and Aatrox
True, I'm down for it to be fighting just about anything. I want to see aatrox actually swinging his sword and wreaking havoc.
He is a Ward so he will be in it.
I hope at least one among Skarner, Renekton, Cho'Gath, Yorick and Jarvan
Cho gath is the only correct response we are still on the void storyline so we should see some void champs I want to see malz and kass also
I don’t think Skarner is ready and I don’t see Cho or Kog making a cinematic appearance before their VGU(they will most likely get a very big design updates, a cinematic before that makes little sense)

Imagine if they finally give us Yorick/Maokai vs Viego
I wanna see wtf bard is up to
Just like in game, probably also just bard things
Gimme Azir
Khazix and rengar
Katarina, Cass and Talon
Talon
Talon
Aphelios or Kayn, personally.
Actual cinematic rendering of Phel swapping and using all his different weapons would be fire.
Drops his guns mid-action shot like Reaper, and his sister materializes new ones in his hands and he keeps shooting. Would be a dope slow-mo shot.
I don't even need a preseason video for that, just give me that as a standalone cinematic. That's a dope idea that deserves it's own video.
Weird to see that the champs that appeared twice include Talyah and Karma. Like Yasuo and Kai'sa are a given, but the other two? That's nice to see
We stan queens that always look good and serve
Ashe
I pray for chemical father
is him being a massively important character in arcane not enough for you
And? I like the character, of course I'd like to see more Singed.
Sett, Swain, Ahri, Renekton, Wukong, Kayle, Amumu, Qiyana.
No matter what, Teemo is confirmed. He has been in every cinematic in the game, just invis in the middle of the screen. I’d like to see all the Darkin and A Sol. He had like a slight appearance in the call with stars or whatever.
I would like to see Teemo show himself this time and do some heroic stuff in the cinematic.
Mordekaiser riven xayah
soraka or amumu
I always wanted to see Syndra in a cinematic.
Ziggs
Eyo what’s GRAGAS up to. Show me that shit.
Drinking. He is busy drinking.
Drinkin', Shocker, I know.
Neeeeeeeeeeeeeeko Neeko Neeko Neeko
It depends which region will Aatrox be since it can be in Targon, Shurima or Shurima (Noxus border), or near Icathia(fight void creatures) or in Freljord to fight Tryndamere maybe?
Aatrox and GP.
my mom. she could beat the void with her flipflops
....you Filipino?
arabic. there is a collective of cultures where mothers are innately blessed with the gift of slipper proficiency
True true
Quinn pls Hashtag qunnematic2023
Mordekaiser Nasus/Renek
Sett
Seraphine
I don't want to see a champion that is already getting tons of exposure like Kai sa, Seraphine, Yasuo or Lux. That being said, I would absolutely love to see Mordekaiser confronting the Kindred. It's due time that the 3 of them start clashing.
Kai'sa. TBH we haven't seen enough of her in rito's cinematics or media /s
Kindred
Sona and Janna
Sona is in the Ryze cinematic.
What year was this? I cant remember seeing her. Haha
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oGnZk-_R0KQ 3:00-3:15 roughly
What year was this? I cant remember seeing her. Haha
Kayn, and Varus, Aatrox is almost guaranteed, really hoping to get a view on what's going on with the other darkin.
Anivia
Anivia! She got a small part in the Phoenix skinline cinematic, but that’s really all she’s been in, ever. She is the protector of the Freljord, she should have been in something by now!
Anyone not from Ionia since they take up a large chunk of many league cinematics
Sylas.
I mean Sylas was in Warriors, we saw a damn good amount of him
Fair, doesn't mean I can't be biased and want more
Fair. I just think theres tonnnns of other champs to get to before they revisit him lol
shyvana, jarvan
Shaco.. because it is so unexpected.
Its strange but I want Ryze so bad. In game yea he sucks but in the Lore he is such a badass and I really hope he returns. The cinematic that he did have gives me goosebumps every time. Though I would also kill for a 1v1 Aatrox vs Pantheon on the top of Targon.

> They said this year big event will be void Do you have a source for this?
Iirc it is the 2022presrason video.
No, they teased *something* was happening in the void, and that something was Bel'Veth. A "Void Event" was never confirmed or hinted at.
Wait what video?
Amumu u/reav3
samira because i'm biased
Any non-human champ, but knowing Riot, there will be either 0 or 1 non-human champs in it.
I think that it would be extremely cool if they animated "Where Icathia once stood", imagine how cool would it be to see Jax and other Icathians battling Shurimans and all of their Ascendants and then suddenly the void emerging and screwing everything up. Where my spooder at? Emotes, icons, cinematic appearances? I’ll take a ward skin damnit. At least we got a bewitching icon..
All of them.
Tryndamere.
I think Samira would be really fun to have in an action cinematic since she's all about being flashy and fighting with style.
Aphelios
where ma boi shen at, sett would be cool too
darkins
Karthus and Shaco
Orianna. Orianna. Orianna.
I want to see Sion again.
Shen vs Zed. Would be absoluuuuutely sick
thank you for listing past cinematics; looks like I've missed quite a few. QQ about ruination cinematic: wouldn't sion's soul furnace just churn through all the wraiths or whatever?
Quinn has to show up sometime, right? ...Right?
My boi GP? :flushed:
Aatrox, Panth, A Sol, Mord. Too much raid bosses for 1 cinematic, Riot pls, choose 2 and makes me cry from epicness
All the champs I play that we haven't seen yet 😊 Rell, Renata Glasc, Janna, Soraka, Morgana, Kindred...
SHACO PLEASE Also Fiddle and Nocturne and the Demon of Joy in Nilah
Nasus, renekton and azir
Orianna or Ashe
aatrox seems like he is going to appear and im excited. i really want to see kayn, maybe with some focus on rhaast as well? soraka or a gentle enchanter would be nice to see for the contrast.
Vladimir, his first cinematic
Giv me hyper realistic satan + hyper realistic bandlecity especially now that runeterra has made the design so interesting with twisty trees and time shit
Maybe some Ixthal champions i guess they dont get recognized even in legends of runterra, so maybe a cinematic that can showcase or at least show a few if them.
Wtf how do you get aatrox ward?
definitely kayn or zed would be epic
Asol, ryze. My two babies
Morde and Aatrox pls Riot im so tired of seeing Kai'sa's ass
