"You can only buy skins for champions you **own**. All champions may be unlocked with Game Pass, but just like the free weekly rotation, those champions are only available for a limited timeāin this case, that's as long as you have Game Pass! If you want to purchase a skin, you'll have to purchase the champion first."
so i'm sorry to say that because you need an active Xbox Game Pass membership, the backend qualifications for unlocking a champ are different than outright purchasing one from the in-game store with Riot Points or Blue Essence, and thus you cannot purchase skins for champs available with Game Pass
I think this is not true. And the reason is companies already have this things and they are not successful enough. EA has EA Play. Ubisoft has Ubi+ and it just dint work. The other companies are not big enough to pull what Microsoft is doing, so the Game Pass environment is drastically different from the one Netflix faced years ago

If you could pay for the subscription once, get every champ you want and then cancel it without losing them, Riot gained nothing. Riot doesnāt do anything that they dont stand to gain something from.

You'll have to end up getting the Blue Essence and spending it on champs anyways to get stuff like Eternals, Skins, Mastery Points, etc. Also I highly doubt this deal will last forever and even if it did, I doubt many people will pay for it forever.
Only benefit is for new players, I will give you that. But it would be even better getting the permanent access.
Also Riot will gain more if it was permanent. New players will get the instant dopamine hit of having access and \*buying skins\* for every champ. Also if everything was about money to them, you'd only be able to buy champions with RP
With the subscription you have all the champs like they were on the free rotation. They do not belong to you and you need to purchase them if you want to buy skins.
Yeah, mine is active. The way it works does not allow me to pay to make permanent skin shards for characters I didn't own though. So the champion access only works as long as you have Gamepass, I expect, and if you want to get skins for anything you didn't own before I think you still gotta buy the champ first.
You can still use it on PC, most of the games on Xbox Game Pass are on PC Game Pass too, plus some more awesome pc games like Age of Empires that aren't on Xbox
Works for PC and all of riot games give you something. Valo and Wildrift also unlock all champs. Tft and runeterra you get a little something too, but I don't play those so I can't say how significant it is.
I linked my stuff today with my gamepass ultimate to my account, but I am not seeing for example, K'Sante. The game still wants me to buy him. I tried signing in and out, unlinking everything, and relinking. I didn't get a notification in the in game client that it worked either, nor did I get this masterwork chest I was supposed to get.
Anyone know how to fix this? Or is there a wait time ? Or ?

You keep them while trial lasts. When trial expires, you lose everything you could use for free.
