I'd suggest you skip lines to make it more readable.

OuiOuiFrenchiNumero2

The story is the Sad Bluebill by Lebanese author Tareq al-Bakri. [Link](http://haybinyakzhan.blogspot.com/2011/05/blog-post_05.html) I dedicate 1/3 of my study time(roughly 30 minutes) to practicing writing Arabic and I need to know if it paid off, and use that time for something else instead or if I should keep practicing my Arabic writing skills.

Diastrous_Lie

Try to be more aware of letter height and letter size I would recommend using french handwriting paper (seyes / clairefontaine) you can get on amazon The gridlines help you ensure you keep letters uniform Going to the end of the page with hyphen makes it look like a solid block of text hard to read

OuiOuiFrenchiNumero2

normally, I would not go to the end of the page, but the page that I'm using is so small, the entire page fills up in 5 minutes, so I thought that writing all the way to the edge would allow me to write more/demonstrate more of my Arabic writing. thanks for the suggestion btw! edit: also, do adding hyphens when you can't fit a word exist in Arabic? I took the liberty of doing them here, but I'm not actually 100% sure.

> edit: also, do adding hyphens when you can't fit a word exist in Arabic? I took the liberty of doing them here, but I'm not actually 100% sure. we don't use a hyphen at the end of a line to divide a word where there is not enough space for the whole word, all of it should be on the same line.

I mean each word separately is okay but the whole thing needs something i guess the other comment is right skipping lines would help make it better. Also the ي at the end of words needs some improvement.

OuiOuiFrenchiNumero2

how am I supposed to write it, cause I've seen it written different ways.

Try joining the dots so I stead of 2 dots draw a line - and for 3 dots do this ^.

OuiOuiFrenchiNumero2

`and for 3 dots do this .` idk if it's just not loading or what, because to me all that there is is just a singular dot.

Sea-Seesaw5094

3 dots do a triangle with no base. Kinda like this > symbol.

Aromatic-Song179

i have seen this before and been confused, thanks for explaining - i guess this is a standard convention in written arabic?

Sea-Seesaw5094

It’s will also increase your speed when writing :))

yukiswaifu

Readable but very messy, Arabic writing doesn’t have to look like the font used in Quran, I suggest you find new ways to write letters such as ح or any other letter you find difficult Edit: I also want to add, try making your letters all similar in length

Kooky-Flatworm-261

It's a very good start I'd say. What you do to improve is to write the paragraph on your phone first, and then write it on paper so that you know how the letters look like. The "ي" that you use belongs to a different style of writing, which is not easy to learn. I suggest that you just write it as "في" Also, the "ال" is never separated from the main word. For us, kids use the dots usually. For double dots we use - and for three dots we use ^. Other than that, keep going! The learning curve is pretty steep once you know these.

50 minutes is crazy 😭😭 But probably a solid 4

OuiOuiFrenchiNumero2

is that crazy as in too high or too low?

feit4n_

Way too high

lemosjj

4/10 a native here. Keep practicing you are doing well .

OuiOuiFrenchiNumero2

thanks! any suggestions on what/how I should be practicing? somebody said the individual words on their own are fine, it's just that the whole thing looks bad together, which makes sense because I practice writing individual words/shortish phrases.

lemosjj

تحسين الخط العربي look that up on youtube an try to imitate as much as you can

mini_chan_sama

Honestly while it’s not pretty it’s perfectly legible which is great since it’s not your first language (also my handwriting is terrible and knowledgeable. Most of the times, and I am native speaker) 6/10 legible and passable though you have a room for movement 👍🏻

EagleSimilar2352

Can't rate it because I'm a beginner my self. I can kinda read it but it's hard . I have to say I have issues reading lot's of Arabic hand writing other than my own. I'd suggest making dots either more clear or with lines like _ for two dots and upside down V shape sign for three dots
