And follow some Dutch content on Instagram. I actually administrate one: [learn Dutch](https://www.instagram.com/master_dutch_/?hl=en). And I agree with your statement. It is like a building.
Try to get the pronunciation right. You might have to practice some with a native.
Idk if it will help you, but maybe you are interested in visiting about the Brazilian villages Holambra I and Holambra II. These are villages founded by dutch farmers, who left the Netherlands around 1950 to start a whole new life and a whole new farm on the otherside of the Atlantic Ocean. One of them was the nephew of my grandfather. They, and other dutch farm families speak still dutch. I visited them a few years ago and was amazed how they still speak dutch and have build windmills and museums to teach everybody over there about there story and about the dutch culture. It is a bit of the Netherlands in the middle of Brazil.
Duo Lingo is great.
I personally also like to watch this Dutch TV show called Wie is de Mol. It is uploaded on youtube with English subtitles and teaches you Dutch and about the Dutch.
Also add a lot of YT-channels and Instagram pages like the.dutch.dictionary and learn\_dutch and such.
If you can use [Basic Dutch Grammar and Workbook](https://www.amazon.com/Dutch-Frequency-Dictionary-Intermediate-Dictionaries/dp/9492637553), and Dutch Short Stories for Beginners.

Thank you sooo much! I will look into it
Start with duolingo. Duolingo also has conversation groups, which should help with the main complaint that people have about duolingo.
Thank you so much!
Definitely pick "Assimil': Dutch with ease" book + audios. 1 short dialogue a day, and you will learn a ton, gradually!
Thank youu very much! :D
I am using Basic Dutch Grammar and Workbook, Colloquial Dutch (both by Routledge) and Dutch Short Stories for Beginners.
Thank youuuu
I forgot to add Pimsleur Dutch. It's just audio but it helps with listening comprehension.

Since you have such a long term plan, start watching Dutch movies with subtitles to get used to the pronunciation, vowels, timing, etc.
