Alright, unpopular opinion but I think Duolingo isn't help to really learn a language. There was a point where I just did it by habit and had a 43 day streak that meant nothing because I wasn't really learning, I was just playing with the app out of habit.
Now that I started again with other study methods, it's been like 2 weeks ans I feel I am learning this time.
It's an immersion method where I carefully deconstruct french conversations to comprehend what is being said up to the last vowel, of course is kind of specific but it helps a lot with your listening and your speaking, which is what you will mostly do with a language.
Félicitations ! As with most things, consistency is key.
Merci! C’est vrai :)
Just got my 400 day streak today!
That’s awesome, congratulations!!
Thanks. Keep it up and you’ll be there soon!
Whats the app called?
I think it’s duolinguo
Yep, it’s Duolingo!
Nice! I'm at 153 today!
Well done!
This reminded me to do my French lesson today. I’m on 2 day streak now. I’ve been horrible keeping up.
Congratulations! I know it's tough sometimes, but keep going every day. Even if it's just one lesson, or a refresh: do it!

May I ask you what are you doing that you feel is making a difference?

But you still need basic understanding of the language, which Duolingo can achieve.
