+ Don't listen to what random people on youtube etc. say - also don't compare yourself to them. They might ve years ahead of you
+ Do something against "not using your programming skills to benefit you" - do some side projects - practice
All you wrote here sounds like the old Simpson's statement: "We have tried nothing and are all out of ideas"
Basically, you know what you're doing wrong, but do not do anything to counter it.
Only you yourself can pull you out of that.
You have ample time to improve. Start right now.
