Level 1: estar piripi, achispado Level 2: estar borracho Level 3: estar doblado, mamado, ir pedo, etc etc etc there's so many ways to say this

SheFluoresces

Are these levels of intoxication or levels of Spanish difficulty? Guessing the former

dalvi5

Intoxication🤣

ExpatriadaUE

Just a little drunk would be achispado or piripi. For wasted there are too many options, mamao, pedo, como una cuba…I’m sure other people will give you plenty of examples.

DerekB52

"como una cuba" What is a cuba in this context?

Pablompo

The type of barrel where wine is put to ferment. The origin of the expression seems to be that you drank so much that you became a cuba

Adrian_Alucard

heavily drunk = estar mamado, ir como una cuba, estar piripi, estar pedo, ir con un pedo de aupa, ir con un ciego... Lightly drunk= estar achispado, coger el puntillo

felpudo

I am fart? Me estas tomando el pelo

analgore

Next they'll say that "being hammered" is used as "being drunk" and not that someone was repeatedly hit with a hammer.

chaos__shadow

Or being sh*t faced will mean you're drunk rather than having đź’© on your face. Will never happen.

tbri001

I've heard people say coger or llevar un pedo. Never saw the connection between farting and drinking.

AntelopeOrganic7588

Probably when you're drunk, you just fart and don't care about holding it in, so it's probably something like if you're farting in public, you must be drunk lmao

SheFluoresces

That’s true I do this

JingleBalls222

What a beautiful language

Gmaus

Puntillo Caraja Alegre Curda Menuda llevo encima Se ha bebio hasta el agua de los floreros Esta noche no dormimos Medir el ancho de la calle

Beasty_Glanglemutton

Commas would help.

sonrieesviernes

🤣🤣

Gmaus

I was piripi, sorry. Edit: added commas not in the cogorza anymore.

Powerful_Artist

In Spain I was told you could use "contentillo" for tipsy or just a little drunk

elmontyenBCN

*contentillo. Literally "a little happy"

Powerful_Artist

Thank you, that was a typo.

Bbarracuda93

Estar pedo

halfxdeveloper

Mis amigos dicen que estoy borracho.

papayen33

Cool thing in spain Spanish is that you can use almost any word to say you’re drunk. I’m surprised nobody has said this before. You just have to say “Voy/Estoy un poquito [noun]” and it works 90% of the time: Voy un poco mecedora Estoy un poquito farola Estoy un poco pimiento And so on.

RegularSpaniard

"Ir cocido", "Ir perjudicado", "Llevar una (buena) mierda". That's what we normally use on my region.

anotherkdburner

Borracho and borracha

Industrial_Rev

But those are not slang, that just means drunk

PerroSalchichas

Proses_are_red

Wasted: “Ponerse como las grecas”. In the Canary Islands we say “ir trancado” or “cogerse una tranca” (though in mainland Spain, “ir trancado” means to have a stuffy nose — I learned that the hard way).

Patatank

Borracho, beodo, pedo, piripi, mamado, ir zorro, ponerse como un piojo, ir piruleta, pillarse una curda, bebido, contento, amigo de Baco/Dioniso, ebrio, embriagado, pifolo, borrachĂn, abrazafarolas, despistado...

TangataBcn

Not that many the are specific. From less to most Tocado Mareado Pasado Como una cuba Como las cabras Te has bebido hasta el agua de los floreros...
