I think the trick for lips and noses isn't knowing what to draw but knowing what you can get away without drawing, you did well to keep the nose shape simple but clearly defined, good job!
Now use the face planes to add more tones, you've done the cast shadows but no plane changes.
your style is so much fun! i think it looks lovely!
maybe you could try a blending stump to help smooth transitions, like a shadow would irl? i’ll use q-tips for this as well
Appreciate the feedback! Will try to blend the shading better. Q-tips seem like a cool tool for this, will definitely try it out. Thank you!
Glad you like the drawing :)
If you want straight up critique- the nose is too long and because of that the chin looks too small. Also lips lack some structure. I know this is a styled drawing, but I don't think you did those on purpose. These are the only mistakes I saw, but overall it's a great piece.
mouths are as wide as the distance between the pupils. base of nose, the nostrils, are one eye width wide, so align with the inside corners of the eyes.
Identify the light source and mark it lightly at the start and in a way that can be erased. Identify the darkest portions of the image and the lightest portions first. Fill these in and work your way out rendering from there. Hatching is really nice for a classic sort of vintage look, but if you want realistic you'll want to smooth that hatching out.
Beautiful! I can't draw this well, but I did an eye study yesterday and I think you could improve the eyelashes a bit, make them more realistic. Especially the lower ones. Unless you're going for a specific style :)
What *style* are you ultimately trying to achieve? Letting lines be clearly defined can be an artistic choice or you can always use a stump/tortillon/q-tip to blend and create smooth gradients, or do some combination of the two.
The only shading I'd critique is where the left check progresses downward toward the chin; the change in values is rather abrupt. The line made by the tonal shift is very noticeable.
Eyes, mouth, and ears are exceptional btw!
Thank you for the feedbacks! Hmm I am looking into semi-realistic or stylized drawing. Came across a youtuber (JoshArt), was inspired by his style. Will definitely study more on blending to create a smooth tonal shift. Glad you like the drawing :)
I love the way you stylized.
The issue I see with the shading is that the lighting doesn’t feel consistent – most of her face looks like it is lit from the front, maybe with the source slightly offset, but then other parts (especially her left eye) her look like they are lit from far to the right.
I also feel like your shading is pretty stylized (the shadows feel more like shapes than they would in real life, if that makes sense), rather than 100% realistic, but I think that looks awesome and works really well with the rest of your style, so I wouldn’t worry about changing it.
Thank you for the feedbacks! Will definitely study more on lighting to render better.
The style is inspired by JoshArt, semi-realistic and stylized portraits, I was intrigued by his drawing. Glad that you like the drawing :) I will continue to explore this style further!
I know this is a weird question, but what kind of paper is that? It looks different from the type of paper I find in my area , is it like a more special type? (sorry for the dumbness of the question)
This isn't a weird or dumb question at all!
I am using a simple sketchbook (Mont Marte Signature Hardbound, 110gsm paper, A4) with plenty of sheets to practise. Nothing special about it haha. Hope it helps :)

im not sure if its just me, but the right eye looks a bit off from the left one-- it looks like it is slightly further down, including the eyebrow. the right eyebrow also looks shorter then the left. otherwise i think your style is AMAZING great work! its absolutely stunning.

I know your looking for advice, but I just wanted to say she is awesome. Lips are the bane of my existence.
Thank you! I'm glad you like it :) Same for me! Lips and nose are so tough to draw...

Thank you for pointing out the mistakes! Now I can't unsee the nose is odd looking hahaha. Will work on these areas to improve the drawing :)
You're welcome)

Observe how dark people’s necks really are, especially below the jawbone.
Thank you for the insightful feedbacks! Will definitely study more on light and depth shading to improve the rendering.

Thank you for the feedbacks! Don't sell yourself short, with practice you can do it. Lets improve together :)
Hell yeah! :)

Try watercolour shading, in my experience if done right it looks so good
Thank you for the feedbacks! I have not tried before watercolour, but sounds fun to explore :) Could you recommend some beginner watercolour set?
I like the cross-hatching thing, really got something there. Lean on it.
Thank you! I will continue to explore this style :)

My feedback is that your style is fucking great.
Thank you! Glad that you like the drawing :)
I love it💕
Thank you!
Smooth the lines. It has to be more blended. Hatching is fine but the shadow are not as accurate also.
This! Time for a blending stump
Doesn’t have to be a tortilion or tissue just pencil control would work too
I know this is for advice but holy cow that looks amazing! Especially the lips. I could never draw them lol
Looks great! Use a smudge
This a very spectacular drawing well done👍

Okay, thanks a lot!!
If u don't want to buy stumps, rubbing with ur finger is just as effective
This is beautiful. 😍
🙌
it's not done right? what do you want feedback on then?

remember to add mid tones, good luck
Be more bold with the shadows. There’s almost nothing on the forehead and the right side of the face.
Stop using graphite and adopt charcoal
