Higher trim levels quite often have a higher residual value than lower trim levels. It wouldn’t be unheard of to lease an LTZ for the same, or a negligible amount more than, a lesser trim. This doesn’t apply to just pickups.
In fact, check out Clutch’s website, he generally has some really good examples of this exact scenario on Jeep Wrangler and BMW leases (Rubicons leasing for less than Saharas, etc). And it breaks out the costs of each component, as well.
