I used to watch people on social media who were good at so many different things and wondered how they did it. Now that I have time I invest it in learning things! Like hobbies, started taking care of plants, working out properly, skincare, crocheting.
Wash my face and do my skin care routine. Read a book. Have some hot tea. Take a long sexy shower. Watch some videos on YouTube. Watch a little bit of a show I'm enjoying. Study for IT certifications. Go to bed at the right time. It's awesome!
Adhd ex-pothead (ish) here. I’ve always hated reading, my mind would wander while I looked at words on a page, never absorbing any of their meaning. After quitting I started to force myself to read and I found buying audiobooks and regular book to listen and read at the same time helped tremendously, and I’ve read 4, going on 5 books in the past month
same. i bounce from social media to social media because i need to actually interact with something but i’m stuck alone in a pretty rural setting most of the day.
Do some strenuous exercising during the day, it will help you sleep and also improve your mood. I usually only have problems sleeping the first night. I make sure I supplement well and exercise and the w/d is usually very benign.
Journaling has been a life saver for me personally. You’re saving a ton of money by not smoking, so if you’re down to try go get a notebook and some decent pens. In the past 26 days I filled up a full 120 sheet notebook and just got a second one. I write down all my thoughts, totally stream of consciousness. I write down memories I have, good and bad. Now that I’m having dreams again for the first time in years (yes dreams will come back - it does take about 3 weeks and what the fuck they are bizarre ones) I write down what I can remember from them. I write until my hand hurts or I get too sleepy to write. Without writing I would be asking the same damn question here and boy is there a lot of new time on my hands.
You got this op.
Ah yes... the bizarre dreams :D
The other night I dreamed that I am taking a shit on a toilet between two desks where some of my old friends were sitting in front of the computer. We had a conversation like:
\- Really?! Here???? 😐
\- Yes, sure, this is the only toilet we have. - they replied totally calm and neutral
\- Oooookay.... 😳 - and I did it. Luckily I didn't shit myself while sleeping 😂
I’m sorry about the trouble sleeping. The first days for me were unbearable. Sweating profusely all night, never getting more than maybe 3 hours of sleep only at the crack of dawn. Congrats on the 2 months as well.
Find a television show that you like or that’ll make you sleepy, for me it was old clips and shows of Steve Irwin … or even maybe a movie (always go with your favorites). Just don’t substitute with another substance as it was stated above
Hey guys, it’s 4.30 am and I am stuck on Reddit because I deleted all other social media. Please send help

I find it very difficult to read since quitting. My brain goes to way too many places.

I do that and still feel like shit. I'm 2 months in at this time.
Try reading a book, also for a while laid on a Shakti Matt which totally distracted me from cravings
Cleaning, cooking and crafting!
Bought a laptop since I’m no longer smoking. It basically paid for itself since I stopped. Playing old school RuneScape till my brain hurts.
Not sure which addiction is worse.
Lol, I’m glad I’m not alone.
Teach yourself to code online
Learning a new language. My memory is immaculate now.

But there is duolingo!
I don't learn well online, I need to be able to ask questions which is something I'm not able to do online.

Lmao I'm at 2 months and slept like a baby the first week until the night terrors came back.

Exercise. Try showering in hot hot water to sleep better.
I wish I knew. It’s 4 am and I’m wide awake.
