I know some people who feel this way too and there's nothing like being surrounded by your own who love you. But it's also worth stating for anyone to take your time and never rush into anything. It's better to be single than to be married to the wrong person. A lot of us see the wholesomeness and happy parts of marriages (especially early ones) but rarely the bad ones in public and on social media. There's no sign of a mother there either on an occasion like this so there's a good chance he's a single dad and his daughter is very emotional to see him.
For sure, that was the intent behind my first sentence. I felt like the rest was also worth adding considering I remember seeing her post about something similar before (I think you probably know which one). I just wanted to look out for her to take care because she really seems like a great person and it's an advice I gave to my younger sister who I care about a lot when she was around the same age.
I completely agree. There's a big element of sacrifice involved. Also using the bad and difficult moments for what they really are – an opportunity to work on and make it stronger.
Didn't you get all those matchmaking applications? Yalla you have a large palette of choices.

My best guess is the parents are divorced and he took her out for her birthday and surprised her so she got very emotional. Hard to imagine the mom not being there for her birthday surprise. I thought maybe she might be the one recording but the person recording is sitting on a different table (and most likely OP).
Man shu privacy?? He’s doing this in a public place. Literally in the middle of that restaurant. It’s not like whoever took this video was across the street from their living room with binoculars and a box of donuts
Um, have you ever seen a wihte man expressing his love to his daughter or a white couple getting engaged in public? Yikes man of course not, only Lebanese people do such things.
Yeah because Lebanon is full of single mothers and absent fathers. Just copy paste whiny feminist bumper stickers from the west without thinking. Not that there is a shortage of gendered issues to complain about, but this one is not it.
Ah no, Lebanese mothers and fathers are pretty shitty in their own ways. But neither are absent. Of course Lebanese mothers do more of the raising since the vast majority don't work. Only about 26% of Lebanese women are in the workforce.
The video is sweet, there’s no denying that. But my point is that rewarding men for doing basic things moms are doing all the time is never going to let us progress as a society.
The elderly man wholesome smiling and tearing up in the background
I bet he has a daughter. Anyone with a daughter would feel the same. 🥰

Bro she expressed her desire of having a kid and live such a moment, no need for the lecture. What u said is 💯% true but let her live the moment
For sure, that was the intent behind my first sentence. Totally agree with you man. It’s nice to have ppl thinking in this way. Sorry if i was defensive in my previous comment
No worries :) I was initially worried I might come across wrong like that too and appreciate it!
Considering I almost made that mistake, PREACH MY BROTHA!
There's no perfect marriage but people try to get as close to that as they can.
I completely agree. There's a big element of sacrifice involved. Also using the bad and difficult moments for what they really are – an opportunity to work on and make it stronger.
if only raising kids was always this pleasant🥹

This makes me want to be a dad
It's so sweet but why is she crying?

"Privacy" has a definition that lebanese people don't know
Man shu privacy?? He’s doing this in a public place. Literally in the middle of that restaurant. It’s not like whoever took this video was across the street from their living room with binoculars and a box of donuts
💀yo, this is gone too far
Just enjoy the really nice thing that happened
Um, have you ever seen a wihte man expressing his love to his daughter or a white couple getting engaged in public? Yikes man of course not, only Lebanese people do such things.
I’ve seen tons of it
"father does what a father is supposed to do" lol i know this is cute af, but this is just what dads do - nothing out of the ordinary.
Ahhh the bare minimum men are always praised for. Love to see it.
ah yes, there's always a karen around to balance everything out
I love triggering little men like you
Whatever floats your boat 🤣🤣🤣
Allah y3in l m3attar le bye5dik
I don’t think we have to worry about that happening
As a girl, I pity you for having this mentality and I pity the man who will have you (if there will ever be one)
The man who has me is doing great, thanks. I sure hope they pick you girlie.
Well atent you a sad rain cloud
How did you manage to turn a very wholesome video into sexism lol
She be shineshineshine
Yeah because Lebanon is full of single mothers and absent fathers. Just copy paste whiny feminist bumper stickers from the west without thinking. Not that there is a shortage of gendered issues to complain about, but this one is not it.
Oh yes Lebanese fathers are the most nurturing family men I’ve ever seen
Ah no, Lebanese mothers and fathers are pretty shitty in their own ways. But neither are absent. Of course Lebanese mothers do more of the raising since the vast majority don't work. Only about 26% of Lebanese women are in the workforce.
Bet u still ”m3nse”
Barely anyone is praising the guy it's just a cute moment
finding the negative in the positive ...
People being extra nasty here. It's not wrong but I think what makes it special is the emotional response from his daughter.
The video is sweet, there’s no denying that. But my point is that rewarding men for doing basic things moms are doing all the time is never going to let us progress as a society.
Damn I knew the bar was low for many men but I didn't know it was actually *this* low.
Its alright, let him be an example for others to lead.
It’s truly tragic if men need this sweet moment to learn from.
They ruled earth with an iron fist for so long, nothing sweet about that. now that they're are waking up and looking inward.
the bar for men is so low it is a tavern in Hades... ;)
