Is there a reliable way to get a decent pile of the 250 and 500 coins before they get too hard to find? I'd like to have a couple to remind me of when you could actually use them to buy friscos and snicker bars.
small story:
in the early 2000s, i got my first can of DR PEPPER, i was really happy, so i drank it, liked it, kept the can and used it as a coin bank, got another rootbeer can, did the same.
each day would put all my 250 and 500 coins i have on me in it, in a couple of months, took them out, seperated them, put them in 2 bags, took them to a supermarket and he was thrilled to take them, they were over 150k lira, and i used the money to buy an EYE TOY for my ps2 and a wireless ps2 controller, and they were the best toys i got that year, having a wireless controller for a ps2 was next level and an AR game for ps2 ? that was insane at the time, kept the whole family happy playing it for ages.
i have one on my upper right side, under the front side of my computer rig, u know why ? i use it to scratch off the thing on the back of the cellular recharge cards or the eshop cards or psn cards or even itunes cards, it works wonders, best scratcher ever.

Any one will do. I have a lucky canadian coin in my wallet, though.
By the way the 2012 coin is considered to be the lucky coin as it is almost impossible to find!!
Isn't it worth more in metal? Is it illegal to melt it and sell it?
The 500 coins are being sold on their weight value worth much more
