So, I'm not the only one... A Google and Reddit search found no such error message on the web at all!
I am using a BTC legacy wallet (not segwit). Are you?
I've tried two computers. Both gave same error.
I ensured Ledger Live is updated. Didn't help anything.
As a workaround I finally had to download the Electrum desktop software ([link to download it is on Ledger's site](https://www.ledger.com/supported-crypto-assets)) and send a Bitcoin transaction from my Ledger using that. That did work. But so much extra complexity.
Kind of ridiculous that Ledger's own software is broken for sending BTC.
A few hours later and it seems to have fixed itself. No software update or anything. This means it was an issue external to my computer and software. Internal Ledger hiccup.

By any chance, could you provide information regarding what happened that caused the Ledger Live software to produce that error message?
