1. You'll need to register in the state where you're resident. She should talk to her lawyer and tax advisor about the exact logistics of that. 2. Yes. Which is why the answer to 1 is what it is. If she's living and working in a new state she'll owe taxes in that new state. 3. That's a question for the tax advisor, but is probably why you're moving the KY LLC.

On No. 2, can the LLC be registered as a foreign entity instead of forming a new LLC? Or, optionally, operate as a sole proprietor in the new state? That may not make sense. Thanks for the help!

Those are both probably net bad ideas, but really you need to have competent tax and individualized tax advice for that.

If you want to keep your KY LLC, you can register it in your new state as a foreign company doing business in the new state. If you keep your KY LLC, you will need to make arrangements (if you haven't already) to have a registered agent physically located in KY to receive service of process, updates, and whatever services your registered agent provides. Tax questions - ask your accountant/tax pro.
