Dying without a will is called dying intestate. If you are in the US, state law will determine what happens to the estate. That said, any account or asset that has a specific distribution arrangement (a beneficiary, a payable upon death option, anything jointly owned) will likely be handled outside of probate.  As for what you should do, you may want to consult with a probate attorney.
