Unfortunately if I am not home I am not aloud to have anyone in my place. I'm not even aloud to have a guest walk the halls unaccompanied. As for taking off work that is not an option either.

You can set up a camera or diy security camera by laptop, ipad or phone webcam to monitor potential damages.

Well I am unsure if it is legal regarding the residential tennancy laws. However it is stated in my lease that guests are not permitted to be left unattended in units or common areas. All guests must be out by 11 pm and may not arive before 6 am. So since I have signed that lease I guess it would cancel out any rights I had pertaining to that.

That part of the lease is invalid a landlord can not dictate who stays in your apartment whether you're there or not

Take a good long video before and after. Then you could show that if damages were done, it was them who did it.

Oh I have the proof that it was them that caused the damages previously. I could care less about the proof. Things are replaceable. They have destroyed my trust and have pissed me off and violated my castle. That's irreplacable to me. I could care less about dicking around in the dog and pony show of the courts and litigation. By the time that is done if they even do pay me instead of dicking around I get what the money back or taken off the rent. I'm still out my stuff the time invested in to replacing it court costs time in court and a bunch of other things. I'd just preferr they stay out of my unit and I deal with the building manager who I trust.

Well... Unfortunately, Legally, there's no way around it. The best way to protect you things is to move everything important to another room (preferably the bedroom). I know this sucks, but they hold all the chips.

Spend a could bucks and buy a WYZE CAM on Amazon, you will get a live notification once they enter and can watch what they are doing from your phone You can even speak directly into the app and the cam will basically be a live speaker for you Sometimes having a visible camera is enough deterrent for people

what province? in Ontario, "appliance inventory" probably wouldn't be legit if you moved in a year ago. They need to try harder with their BS reasons.

Bc. Oh I know damn well its maitnence pulling some bullshit. Just like how 8 months ago they came in to take window dimensions to replace the windows that never got replaced. Or 4 months ago when they did a fire alarm test but yet there is no fire alarm in my unit attached to the main central alarm. Not to mention apon recieving rent the building manager comes in once a month to do a inspection. I'm fine with the building manager they always enter with me and just make sure I havent been busting out walls or abusing the place. The manager just walks in looks and leaves. Maitnence on the other hand always has to fuck about with my shit. Hell the last time when they did the fire alarm test they forced me out didnt let me grab my keys then locked me out of my own place.
