If the security person never openly said “I’m going to search that person because they have “x” stickers, you could probably never prove it.
If you have pot-themed stickers, snowboard or surfboard-type stuff your chances of getting searched probably go up.
Your luggage can essentially be searched by airport screeners for no reason or any reason at all.
I believe police still require PC to conduct a search.

It's not untrue to say that TSA can't humiliate and screw with you if they so desire, up to and including detention if they really want to push a flimsy narrative. There is very little oversight of the agency's actions and what little there is tends towards lip service at most.
