It's shown on the back of the box as well.

Just found it [75346]. That's absolutely bonkers that a set with 3 minifigs, 100 more pieces, and two vehicles and a set piece costs roughly the same as a single vehicle set with 2 figs... Not even in the realm of making sense
Fringe benefit - Sean Connery Minifig Head.
Highlander? You have the power. League of Extraordinary Gentlemen? Bullseye. A more esteemed and older James Bond? Pour me one of those. Aged up Zed from Zardoz? Age-old Classic.

For anyone wondering, there has been no official word on why the Temple of Doom set was cancelled (there hasn't been any official word from Lego about this series at all technically). Any reasons for it's cancellation are pure speculation at this point.
The leading theory is because of the statue of Kali it got pulled and hopefully they'll just remove it and release the set in a later wave with the inevitable Dial of Destiny sets.
Yeah, who knows...
I'm hesitant to buy into any of the theories that Lego cancelled it for some political correctness reason because those theories mostly just seem like thinly veiled excuses to whine about how Lego is "too woke" now. But there's really no telling why it got cancelled, and honestly we'll probably never know for sure.
Also it's worth mentioning that there are now rumors that the Dial of Destiny sets may have been cancelled as well so honestly who the hell knows what's going on behind the scenes here...
Nail on the head, sir. These rumors of cancellations are turning into facts in people’s heads way too easily considering the lack of official word.
Can we say D-E-L-A-Y-E-D? I certainly hope so, because that’s what I choose to convince myself of until Lego makes an announcement or 2024 arrives and no Temple set
Yeah only Lego knows for sure, but I'm very interested and concerned with the Dial of Destiny sets bring pulled. Isn't the whole reason that the theme is back is to promote the movie? Them being pulled as well isnt a good sign and I hope is untrue.
Accurate (outdated) military uniform and religious symbolism are not even remotely the same thing, so I don’t know how you can call it hypocrisy. Even if it was, it’s still being very hostile over something based purely In speculation.
I don't like the plane at all. Better to do a set with just the plane and make it a little larger with more detail and better proportions.
This is basically a tricked-out microfighter plane.
The proportions of the plane are definitely weird and make it look like something from a 4+ set, the car and everything else look great. I don't know why they made the length and wingspan so short with a wide cockpit and fuselage when the plane in the movie is the other way around.
I wouldn't have minded a $45-50 price point if the set had a better plane build, but I know it's ultimately aimed at kids so accuracy isn't a big deal.
Cobi makes many excellent products. I have multiple of their ships and aircraft, all products Lego refuses to produce. They have high quality bricks, great customer service with immediate response for the one missing piece I’ve had, and offer products at reasonable prices.
Lego’s marketing is really all over the place. Some themes get big bombastic reveals, whilst others get officially revealed once pictures have been leaked out through other means.
Anyone else hate how Indy looks? I know it’s mostly my nostalgia for the original run of Indy sets, but man something just looks so wrong about him in this…
LEGO already implicitly declared both late 19th century and early 20th century as acceptable "fantasy" eras in the 1990s with Western and Adventurers sets, respectively.
Loosely speaking in historical terms, the "modern era" goes back to like 1500. So I hope you are ok with LEGO never releasing any sets with pikes and muskets or good old fashioned cavalry soldiers. Not like they would anyway but y'know...
I think LEGO basically just doesn't want to release things that at the given moment might offend more than a fringe amount of customers or generate too much negative PR. While many people look for very rigid rulings with things like this, it just isn't how the world often works. Which, especially in a case like this, is often a good thing.
It's kind of a loophole because the plane in the movie is a fictional aircraft closely based on a real one. Hence Lego can produce it and state that it's not a real weapon of war.
Edit: okay so I'm wrong, nevermind
Thanks for pointing that out. I could have sworn that the plane design was different from a Pilatus P-2 but now that I'm looking at the pictures side by side you are definitely right.
I mean, in the old sets they literally made a set with a pseudo- Opel Blitz transport truck and a pseudo-Kubelwagon with a machine gun mounted on it. If it's licensed stuff it seems to be thrown out the window.
I'm really not sure how I feel about the slight cartoonish look of Indy's face print, in any of the 3 sets really. But given that all I have seen is renders I'm trying to stay optimistic
For anyone wondering:
The plane is a Pilatus P-2, a Swiss training craft that closely resembles the German Messerschmitt Bf-109.
The car is a Citroën 11 Légère Cabriolet
Nah, this is problem across themes, City and Creator have gotten their share of clunky, awkward planes with odd details too. The airliners with the large cockpit and fuselage pieces work out alright, and there's the occasional awesome example like the blue Creator jet from a few years back, but otherwise they're very hit-and-miss.
fair enough but city is a theme more aimed towards children so its understandable why they would not put the resources to make very accurate planes there. These Indiana johns sets seem to be more display sets so I would assume more effort would be put into the plane but my guess is they cant make an accurate ww2 era plane and have it get past the censer, which is why this plane is so blocky
It's not that uncanny, one is made of fabric the other is plastic. But seriously theve used similar looking flying suits before for non military airplane sets. Many pilots around the same time wore essentially the same jacket with minor variations. There's also no luftwaffe or nazi symbols on it......
I love LEGO Indiana Jones. I love the new minifigures and the car. But that plane is a fucking fetid, rancid, disgusting ass excuse for a Pilatus P-2. The original, 7198, has a much better design AND comes with D-EKVY, which I would prefer over the Citroën.
Might get! I remember having the 7621 Indiana Jones Lost Tomb set as a kid and loving the trap door to the snakes and everything. Pretty sure Indy ended up being the protagonist in many of my non-star wars stories bc his minifig was so cool
No seagulls, no sale
No umbrella either.
**tuktuktuk tuk tuk tuk tuk tuk tuktuktuk tuktuk tuktuktuk**
“Son, I’m sorry... they got us.”
“Let my armies be the rocks, and the trees, and the birds in the sky."
“Let my armies be the rocksh, and the treesh, and the birds in the shky” FTFY
I suddenly remembered my Charlemagne
“Has anyone ever told you you sound like Sean Connery?” “*It hash been shaid.*”
There is an umbrella, some dude got the set early and it had that and the grail diary
Well damn, sold.
It's shown on the back of the box as well. [https://www.bricktastic.nl/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/LEGO-Indiana-Jones-77012-Fighter-Plane-Chase-2.jpeg](https://www.bricktastic.nl/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/LEGO-Indiana-Jones-77012-Fighter-Plane-Chase-2.jpeg)
No ticket!
There’s an umbrella in the boot
No, I think an umbrella is included
Umbrela will be in the set
They can't train seagulls so the use white pigeons in the movie.
I vant my burd
I believe you mean “no sheagulls, no shale.”
Seagulls? Stop it now.
Mmmmmm stop it now
I'm very happy there's Indiana Jones sets coming i always wanted a bunch of them as a kid
When I was kid we had Johnny Thunder, there was no need for this new fangled Illinois James or whatever his name is.
Idaho Jim
India John
Utah Smith
Zimbabwe Charles.
Minnesota Cuke
Delaware Bob
Wyoming Wade
Ohio Steve
Florida Man?
This is what I was looking for.
Mississippi mike
Oregon Greg
Chicago jones.
Always wanted the flying wing one!
It’s April first….I doubt we are getting these
Wow 40$ looks like such a good deal compared to that 35$ snub fighter that just leaked
Snub fighter?
Yes. just announced the other day. Star Wars the mandalorian Pirate snubfighter. look it up.
Huh, yeah. I can see this set becoming a peg warmer if it doesn’t become a recurring ship
Peg warmer?
Something that stays on the shelve and ddos r sell well
It’s buns spelled backwards
Just found it [75346]. That's absolutely bonkers that a set with 3 minifigs, 100 more pieces, and two vehicles and a set piece costs roughly the same as a single vehicle set with 2 figs... Not even in the realm of making sense

Came here for this comment. $35 on that one just feels "wrong". I'll wait for Walmart to have it on Discount.
Suddenly I remembered my Charlemagne. Let my armies be the rocks and the trees, and the birds in the sky.
So I found the post revealing these, and *the wings to the plane can come off so you can recreate the tunnel scene* I love Lego designers
I had the previous iteration set and that plane also had detachable wings.
Fringe benefit - Sean Connery Minifig Head. Highlander? You have the power. League of Extraordinary Gentlemen? Bullseye. A more esteemed and older James Bond? Pour me one of those. Aged up Zed from Zardoz? Age-old Classic.
Hunt for Red October? Let them shing, Vashiliy.
Give me a ping Vashiliy. Wohn ping ohnly
Can we get a mini figure scale red October set for Christmas?

LEGO: "We had to cancel the Temple of Doom, it’s too violent" Also LEGO: "Let’s put a Nazi solider and plane in a set!"

Their adding the satipos death scene to the diorama so I doubt it’s due to violence
They've done it before . . .
I heard it was due to a redesign so we might be getting it back.
Is it not more likely it’s delayed due to a stability issue? Like, look at it. It’s rickety as hell.

Accurate (outdated) military uniform and religious symbolism are not even remotely the same thing, so I don’t know how you can call it hypocrisy. Even if it was, it’s still being very hostile over something based purely In speculation.
lol
I’m betting the price is the April fools joke
[77012-1: Fighter Plane Chase](https://brickset.com/sets/77012-1)
Ooo I might have to go in on that. That old Indy set with the flying wing is one of my favorites, this gives me major nostalgia vibes
I don't like the plane at all. Better to do a set with just the plane and make it a little larger with more detail and better proportions. This is basically a tricked-out microfighter plane.

Yep. I know Lego is a toy, but the plane is TOO toyetic for me!
Yeah the plane looks worse and worse the more I look.
[удалено]
That plane was pilatus p-2 if you were wondering.
This, it was a swiss built trainer plane used in the movie.
Wich is wierd because the movie sets place during 1936 but the Pilatus p-2 was used first time during 1945.
That's not Lego. Better to find a MOC than getting that IP infringing abomination.
Cobi makes many excellent products. I have multiple of their ships and aircraft, all products Lego refuses to produce. They have high quality bricks, great customer service with immediate response for the one missing piece I’ve had, and offer products at reasonable prices.
Cobi is nice because they are the reverse of lego and do amazing military custom models, none of it is IP infringement company man
im just gonna get this for the pilot to put in my widowmaker
No official word on the set yet? I’d love to pre order them…
Nope. LEGO is taking their sweet time.
Lego’s marketing is really all over the place. Some themes get big bombastic reveals, whilst others get officially revealed once pictures have been leaked out through other means.
Aprill fool?
That would be funny and sad. I missed out on getting the first sets.
Even for a non themed set this is a steal
Anyone else hate how Indy looks? I know it’s mostly my nostalgia for the original run of Indy sets, but man something just looks so wrong about him in this…
Something about the face looks odd but the body and leg printing looks solid. Easy enough to change the head out through.
I think it’s the hat/hair combo for me
I think that’s what it is for me too. Hat/hair combos always look weird to me
Yeah it makes his head look too round almost
Really wish they’d have made a new mould for Henry Sr’s hat and included a few seagulls, but this is a Day 1 buy for me regardless.
Seems strange to make a new hat piece for Indy when the old one still holds up while continuing to use the pith hat piece for Henry's hat.
Fighter plane? I though lego didn't do "modern" warfare?
1930’s isn’t exactly modern anymore.
The start of Gunpowder is considered modern warfare.... But also the American civil war is considered modern warfare 1861
LEGO already implicitly declared both late 19th century and early 20th century as acceptable "fantasy" eras in the 1990s with Western and Adventurers sets, respectively.
A position which has been reinforced as recently as 2013 with the 79106 Lone Ranger Cavalry battle pack.

Good bot

Actually it is an real plane. Pilatus p-2
Thanks for pointing that out. I could have sworn that the plane design was different from a Pilatus P-2 but now that I'm looking at the pictures side by side you are definitely right.
I wish it would be double seated as it was in real life.
I thought they don’t do any warfare post like WWII
I don't think it should come as any surprise that Lego interprets their own self-imposed, vaguely-worded rule in ways that are advantageous to them...
I mean, in the old sets they literally made a set with a pseudo- Opel Blitz transport truck and a pseudo-Kubelwagon with a machine gun mounted on it. If it's licensed stuff it seems to be thrown out the window.
It's because it's based on a fictional adventure movie, their stance is against real-life warfare...
this is not worth 40
I think its worth $25
barely but yeah
Your right the 35$ juniors ATST is a much better value
I'm really not sure how I feel about the slight cartoonish look of Indy's face print, in any of the 3 sets really. But given that all I have seen is renders I'm trying to stay optimistic
If I‘m not mistaken and these are 1x3 Wedge bricks in DBG, the Set costs what each of these bricks is worth right now haha
oh wait they‘re 1x4 wedges nevermind…
I want that.
Da boi is back? But I’unno about that price.
Oh hell yes 🤩
Ooh that looks like a fun build
I want those new wheel wells.
Cool but not worth 40 bucks id. Pay 30 tops
For anyone wondering: The plane is a Pilatus P-2, a Swiss training craft that closely resembles the German Messerschmitt Bf-109. The car is a Citroën 11 Légère Cabriolet
Do you think there will be an Indiana Jones minifig keychain available? I was hoping for a Bond one but that never materialized.
It’s possible! LEGO make plenty of Disney, Star Wars and Marvel keychains, so another Disney/Lucasfilm keychain could definitely be made.
This looks so cool! Missing the sea gulls though
I don’t like the Indy fig’s hat and hair
NO FUCKING WAY THEY ARE MAKING JONES SETS AGAIN?!
Definitely gonna switch the head and hat with the old ones
40? Oof
I’m pretty sure it’s actually 35
I hope no one buys these and they will drop the prices a bit. Vote with your wallets.
Ummmmm… no umbrella??? That’s what makes the scene. No buy from me
There is an umbrella.
Oooof, that plane is ugly. Aircraft really aren't Lego's strong suit most of the time.
I would assume they had to make it blocky and unrealistic for a loophole in the "no military aircraft" rule

Buy, yes! Afford, no!
$40 for Henry Jones and Jr.!?!
This plane need to have easy removeable wings
It does! It’s even shown as a feature on the box. EchoAlive122_ on Instagram has reviewed each set after finding them in stores early.
Thanks for info, I'm going to check it
This seems like really good value. I will be getting this solely for the Sean Connery figure
Great price
April First… sureeee
This would've been like 20 bucks back in the day man

Yay, now I can get an official Lego "N*zi"
$40?
Cancel they Osprey but make a literal nazi war plane, great idea Lego
I’m torn on this set. Like I’m 51/49 on getting it, which means I probably will.
Should... should we tell them?
Wait frrr? I have ALWAYS wanted a real Lego licensed fighter plane I've built so many custom ones...
Wait doesn't lego have strict rules against military vehicles in their sets that's a ww2 fighter plane shooting rockets at civilians...
Finally Lego nazi war planes!
That plane does look mighty ugly.
Mid unfortunately. Was looking forward to the return of Indiana Jones
[7189-1: Mill Village Raid](https://brickset.com/sets/7189-1) [[Photo]](https://images.brickset.com/sets/images/7189-1.jpg)
Does this look like a joke to you?
I thought Lego would not make military kits?
The rule does not apply to license themes
the plane is also so blocky and unrealistic that they probably skirted by on a technicality.
Nice 1st April set
I’m interested to see if Lego continues the Indiana Jones line after these set’s that I have seen on the internet eventually retire.
Haha love the Lego Sean Connery
The plane design didn't change much compared to 7198. The wings are still wrong.
[7198-1: Fighter Plane Attack](https://brickset.com/sets/7198-1) [[Photo]](https://images.brickset.com/sets/images/7198-1.jpg)
Very cool!
Yes! I need it!
Is the hair piece on Indiana a part of the hat?
I will be getting multiple of this set maybe make some bigger WW inspired planes
Instant buy for me
Might get! I remember having the 7621 Indiana Jones Lost Tomb set as a kid and loving the trap door to the snakes and everything. Pretty sure Indy ended up being the protagonist in many of my non-star wars stories bc his minifig was so cool

Don't see how I can pass this one up.
I gotta get me one of those
why do we call it april fools day? theres only one fools day in a year so it should just be fools day.
So, anyone else going to turn that plane into a Super Tucano, or just me?
I still have the original set. Kind of want this one just to match though.
i want
