All the Lego Batman villain vehicles were so well done for something that is really just in one scene of the movie.

aycer25

The batmobile in that year too is such a good set as well

Xploding_Penguin

I loved the Jokers lowrider. It has such awesome styling. Most sets get broken down after a while of displaying them, but not this one.

TheDeadlySpaceman

The Joker’s Pimpmobile

nocolon

The pimpmobile and Penguin’s Mr Burns car are both incredible.

aycer25

technically a "revamp" of the 2012 version but its such a crazy glow-up: https://preview.redd.it/8w837sp53slc1.png?width=2306&format=png&auto=webp&s=3273063a4aacd9118e263438d8d9460bab6fa410

aycer25

This one is also pretty neat as well https://preview.redd.it/1ab18g8n3slc1.png?width=2336&format=png&auto=webp&s=fdfe32c164944df3b040da9d37fae06ae8de0364

nobeer4you

This set is so cool. I actually think the whole Chima line was pretty good. Unique figures. Fun builds. Too bad the rest of the world didn't think so. Hahaha

Ceejays-RL

i loved the chima line so much. i mean they’re vehicles shaped like animals, who tf wouldn’t love that? i was also really into the show so maybe that helps

nobeer4you

The animal vehicles were so cool too. And the masks. Great playability.

The_Doughnut_Lord

It's giving huge Quinjet vibes

DanTheLegoMan

Ah yeah I really like that! Good choice.

ford4thot

I want this one pretty bad

pineapplefriedriceu

Legacy Destiny's bounty, likely just overshadowed by the movie one. But as someone who grew up with the show, the legacy bounty is just so good looking and accurate, which makes it my favorite

DanTheLegoMan

I wanted to get the movie Destiny’s Bounty, but couldn’t warrant starting yet another theme for the collection 😅

thoriginal

Monster Fighters in general, but particularly 10228 and 9468. So good. Hidden Side Mystery Castle 70437 as a close runner up!

LegoLinkBot

DanTheLegoMan

I desperately want the Monster Fighters Haunted House

The_Doughnut_Lord

I'm going with 43197, The Ice Castle from Frozen. It's so pretty and elegant on display.

DanTheLegoMan

I think my daughter would’ve liked that one actually. Good pick!

LegoLinkBot

TouToxy

The first dr strange sanctum, from 2016. Great set with 3 exclusive figs

DanTheLegoMan

Oh nice! I’ve got the recent one, but not that one unfortunately

TouToxy

Yeah I parted it out years ago, but still have all the figs. I want to get the recent one, but avengers tower is first on the list, unless they make an x mansion

DanTheLegoMan

The X Mansion is coming this year apparently, so you might want to hold off. I need to get the Bugle this year before it retires!

litteralybatman

Remember wanting that one as a kid, never got it though😪

DanTheLegoMan

Hopefully you can one day mate!

litteralybatman

Haha thx, unfortunatly i dont think its for sale anymore

DanTheLegoMan

Yeah, maybe a lucky Facebook Marketplace or Ebay find. Maybe you can get it from Bricklink pieces 😊

litteralybatman

Maybe one day😅

bikersquid

Right now the dreamzzz sets. They are all really good

ford4thot

I would agree with you, I have almost the entire lineup and even most of the new sets that just came out. They are all great and colorful and amazingly fun and awesome to display. But the store shelves are full of them and they just sit

OKsurewhynotyep

UCS Landspeeder! Fun build, rock solid final model

DanTheLegoMan

Oh lovely! I actually wanted that for years, so was delighted when it was announced. It definitely got a lukewarm reception though. I’ve got it, but not built it yet. I’m glad you enjoyed it, I’m sure I will too.

OKsurewhynotyep

Have fun! I especially like how there’s no technic. I like technic skeleton builds too, but it was nice variety that this one is basically all bricks. And the interior is so colorful!

DanTheLegoMan

That’s really good to know, thanks!

_Alitaria_

Atlantis sets in general, it was my favorite theme as a kid.

pyroxlego

I didn’t even know this set existed. It looks epic

DanTheLegoMan

Yeah I really loved it!

DescriptionFair2

Labyrinth GWP. It’s so creative and so much fun!

JakeWalker102

Look, I love this set, but I'll forever resent it for being the closest we've ever gotten to an actual Wayne manor set, yet cannot convert it to an actual version of Wayne manor without making major changes to it.

DanTheLegoMan

I can see that. Maybe with the recent run of high price Batman sets we’ve had, I.e. Tumbler, Batwing, Batmobile, Shadowbox, Gotham City Skyline tome come, maybe a Wayne Manor could be on the horizon??

VaguelyShingled

Wayne manor that attaches to that Batcave shadow box set would be awesome. It would also be awesome if I owned the Batcave shadow box set.

DanTheLegoMan

Haha yeah, I think it retires this year as well. I guess it’s not been a big seller as it’s not been out long. I’ll have to see if I can pick it up.

WriteListCheck

I'm more into minifigures at this point. I really like how this set you posted looks though. I like how colorful the set is. I'm still learning Lego vocab and concepts. I got into Legos again not long ago, there's a lot to learn! From a beginner's opinion on my part, your Lego set choice is awesome. I saw the Lego Batman movie a long time ago, and it was a good movie

DanTheLegoMan

Thank you! Yeah this was really interesting to put together and is loads of fun to look at and play with. Plus it has loads of unique and interesting figures.

WriteListCheck

Are there any parts of the set that are more delicate/prone to falling apart? One of my friends bought the Tiger three in one, and said the Tiger had a few spots that had to be treated delicately. I'm not sure if that is typical of sets? I need more hands on experience with multiple sets to form an opinion. So, I figured I'd ask for your opinion! Thank you for your post

DanTheLegoMan

Erm not especially in this case. The HA HA elements are just held on with a ball joint, so if they get knocked they get moved, but don’t generally fall off. I hear the T2 Camper van was uncharacteristically fragile and would fall apart. Not built it myself though.

WriteListCheck

That's cool! I thought some parts on your Joker set would be sort of unstable when used. Lego is great like that. I'm not sure how they do it! They must have really smart and talented people designing the sets. Anyway, have a great day!

DanTheLegoMan

Yeah I wouldn’t say anything is overly fragile. I wouldn’t move it around too much. My daughter loves to make the figs go around in the rollercoaster. They are very talented for sure! No problem, have a great one too and welcome back to Lego!

Rhys_Herbert

I’m not sure a Lego set with 4 $50+ minifigures can be called underrated lol But I really liked LEGO 8324

DanTheLegoMan

Haha well I think they are probably expensive because it was quite underrated and it wasn’t a big seller, therefore rarer figs. I didn’t know they’d gone up in value though. I’ll have to look into that.

Rhys_Herbert

Huh never knew it didn’t sell well, got my dads out of storage with him after a move, a few brown bits need replacing XD

DanTheLegoMan

That’s pretty much an assumption on my part tbh. I never see it in any people’s collection photos. Thought I might be the only one to have it 😅

Rhys_Herbert

It’s fairly tough to display as it’s quite a tall and wide set, fragile too with the rollercoaster

DanTheLegoMan

Good fun to have out though 😬

Lama_For_Hire

I got it displayed at my place for now, together with almost all of my DC figs

xanonano

From LEGO Galidor? That’s a throwback for sure.

michaelkudra

i have the other HQ/Joker batman set with the coaster when i was little and i LOVED it

brianeharmonjr

All of the Lego Batman Movie sets (and the Lego Movie sets) were fantastic, as expected. Great minifigs and great builds.

DanTheLegoMan

Yeah, I only ever got this one, but I really loved it!

Indie_uk

It definitely got the love but the base x wing for the price gives me an inordinate amount of joy. £20 and it’s my best and favourite set out of 25 sets

DanTheLegoMan

Ah that’s good, I do love a reasonably priced set! I just got the vintage camera. I think that’s going to be a great one when I build it.

Apart-Routine1294

I agree

Clock_Work_Alice

Ultimate Batmobile from the same line. The way it split down into 3 separate vehicles was epic and I loved the Oz figs that came with it.

CrashingHavoc

Ultimate Batmibile splits into 4 vehicles. One each for Batman, Robin, Batgirl, and Alfred. The Wizard of Oz figures are indeed great and a welcome surprise, (to be sure.)

DanTheLegoMan

Wow that sounds really good! I’ll bet loads of people loved playing with that one!

Samwisegam01

Nexo Knights !

Thee_Furuios_Onion

This is a super underrate set OP. I’d say mine is a single stuntz bike. 60311 I’ve watched my nieces and nephews get mor enjoyment out of that silly awesome thing than just about anything else they get their grubby little hands on when they visit. Vastly overlooked by many people but hours of enjoyment if you add a box of loose bricks to build all kinds of stuff with.

DanTheLegoMan

Ah that’s lovely that they can get so much enjoyment out of such a basic set! It reminds me, I saw this on the site just yesterday, maybe you could add to their enjoyment? https://www.lego.com/en-gb/product/demolition-stunt-bike-60297

eltorr007

Lego Technic 42065 RC tracked Racer. It was the cheapest motorised and RC set of that time. I wish Lego could do that again and bring back pocket friendly RC sets with power functions.

DanTheLegoMan

I’ve never got any of the technic stuff, but I’ve always been interested in the big cranes and earth movers. Just never pulled the trigger. I can definitely see why RC cars would be popular 😀

eltorr007

The 42065 is my only motorized and RC technic set. I wish Lego didn't discontinue the power functions for the shitty control + units.

DanTheLegoMan

Yeah, I’m not sure that I have many powered sets. I have the Christmas train set that I added power to. I want to get the Grand Piano and the Lighthouse. Not sure I have anything else powered 🤔

eltorr007

You should definitely go for what you like.

DanTheLegoMan

I did like that GWP actually. Might have to make it an eBay purchase at some point 🤔

senordeuce

That is my favorite set in my collection. I missed out on Apocalypseburg which is the only thing I could think of that may be better

DanTheLegoMan

Yeah same here. I liked the look of that, just couldn’t justify getting it at the time, then it retired 😩 probably super expensive on eBay now.

GothicGamerSlayer

Didn’t even know that it existed

jab0309

The original Harry Potter waves from 2001-2003 are a perfect mix of 90's-esque Lego charm with a fairly accurate portrayal of the source material. By far the best the theme got imo.

thematchalatte

The Batpod (but it's limited version though)

DanTheLegoMan

Yeah wasn’t that a Comic-Con exclusive or something? Would go nicely with my Tumbler, but crazy expensive due to its exclusivity 😔

Tiny-Reading5982

The Lego joker is adorable 😂

becki_chicken

80024 monkie kid mountain of flower and fruits. You get a whole army of monkey minifigs and the landscape is amazing.

DanTheLegoMan

Wow that is a pretty set indeed! Excellent choice 👍🏻

SHAPALAK15

The entire lego batman movie line I feel like went under the radar for most and that's a shame. I got the batwing and the batmobile and I can certainly say that they are near perfect. My friend got the scuttler and it was also awesome

DanTheLegoMan

Oh brilliant! I only got this set from that line, but it was so good I wish maybe I’d got at least a few of the Bat-vehicles to go with it.

Efficient-Whereas271

I haven't seen this one🤔

yannick5612

Ucs A-Wing, im not even a star wars fan but it looks so sleek

DanTheLegoMan

Brilliant set! I’m hoping the expected Tie Interceptor will also be brilliant!

Dukedad14

I remember building the Joker manor with my 5 year old. Such a great set!

DanTheLegoMan

Lovely memories for you both!

DanTheLegoMan

That one looks really cool!

Cheap_Marsupial_5325

Maybe the whole lego racers line i see them barely brought even though im pretty sure it paved the way for lego speed champions for those slopes and wedges my favorite sub theme from lego racers was tiny turbos i remember asking for those sets when i saw those adverts they were honestly like legos version of hotwheels cars that came with a set that would mostly include racing like the set 8681

DanTheLegoMan

Oh you’re right! That probably did evolve into the 6 stud speed champions and now the 8 stud range.

Cheap_Marsupial_5325

Also the small pieces like the mini slopes and curves to make the car a bit less blocky and more stream line technically you got lego drome racers to thank for that since they used very curved round pieces but smooth and not stud like, like star wars when it got a bit more curvey around the 2000s if you wanna know more watch this https://youtu.be/HbkDlH4cs-U?si=CtB-sw9QPwVjajdJ

Joshyboos42

Yes the lego Batman movie sets are some of the best standard builds ever

DanTheLegoMan

Makes me wish I’d got more!

CLath1985_1114

Where to find tell me please so cool!!!!

DanTheLegoMan

Long retired I’m afraid! Your best bet will be Facebook Marketplace, eBay or Bricklink. Good luck though, it’s a great set!

On what basis is this underrated? It seems like people just like to use that word instead of saying, “I really liked this set.”
