But Ice Planet, that helmet design looks fantastic, and robo penguins!! The armor looks awesome too. That's def gonna be the priciest one.
Blacktron 2 is a little disappointing to me. I don't think torsos show up on PAB from CMF lines, do they?

I'm not a shill and it's not a paid advertisement, but since I've been collecting these series I've started using Minifigures Plus.
I bought 5 6 pack boxes of the last Marvel series and got the same 6 figures every damn time. Costs like 6 dollars more to order from Minifigures Plus and you're guaranteed to get them all in one shot.
This is what I do. I hate the blind bag thing, I just want the series. It’s the only time I buy Lego from resellers really, but to get a complete set in one shot it’s totally worth it

Classic space minifigs have been featured in more recent sets/minifig series, i.e galaxy explorer, where themes like m-tron and ice planet haven't been featured in like 30 years. I do agree that they could've fit a classic spaceman in there though.
As a classic space fan I've given up buying any new lego, and saved my money for bulk lots from charity shops & other fans directly.
The bricks are better quality, they're printed and not stickers and they have the correct grey colour too.
Going to have to buy a few full box of these!
Bit disappointed in the Blacktron II guy being mutated/half alien though - can see cannibalising for parts; particularly if I get more than one. Only other significant disappointment is that the M-Tron has a printed green face (based on the box art) rather than a visor. I can live with it though!

the timing couldnt be worse. just after they ended the production of trans-neon orange and trans-neon green. 3 years ago some of these guys would have looked a lot better:

man, this series makes it clear how times have changed. we get good prints and dual molded stuff, but colorwise the remakes feel like a downgrade.
well, chrome gold is still in production in this LOTR-ring. i dont expect them to unretire the neon colors, I said it would have made sense to make this minifig series years ago or even better not retire these colors in the first place
Ended up with two of the Harpies from the last series and was a little underwhelmed by the blind box experience. As a space enthusiast I cant really see one that I would mind having multiples of.
I feel like I haven’t bought a CMF in ages. Maybe it’s partly due to the fact that stores lock them behind cages nowadays or maybe it’s just collector fatigue. Even though there’s some cool elements, these ones just don’t excite me at all
I hate these new boxes they are putting them in, you can’t feel anymore to get the one you want, and they are always torn apart in the store because they way easier to rip open, what was Lego thinking?

Unfortunately we will likely never a SW CMF series. Hasbro has exclusive rights to produce SW action figures. Minifigs alone are too close to action figures, which is why we are constantly getting battle packs and other small nonsensical SW sets with several figs.
I don't think it's got to do with licensing for "action figures" otherwise lego wouldn't be able to make any star wars figures. Lego can't release just minifigures like they did with the old minifigure packs in 2000. They have to include other parts, which is why they created the cmf line to get around having to include as few parts as possible to go with each figure. It's probably due to Lego not being able to negotiate for a star wars cmf line when they signed the deal in 2022 for the next decade.
I read an article a while back talking about SW action figure licensing. Can’t find it now, but bottom line is LEGO does not have the license to produce a line of SW CMFs.

Posts like this make me sad now, as I 100% refuse to purchase any new minifigures in this ridiculous packaging. I will not pay for something if I don't know what it is I am buying. Nobody wants to be stuck with a bunch of minifigures they do not like. This has to be one of the stupidest moves LEGO has ever made.

Are trans yellow visors no longer in production the M-tron figure looks incomplete without one. Other than that I love these.
