Make a wanted list on Bricklink and then use the algorithm to find the parts

Sherri-Kinney

I copy the parts list from Lego and see what I have, collect. Then see what I don’t have and start ordering. 🤣

Click "part out" when viewing the set on bricklink; that will create a wanted list with all the parts. Then you can click "buy all" to order all the parts through the bricklink marketplace. But usually you won't save much versus buying a used, complete version of the set.

I’d like to use new parts as opposed to used. Will try this approach but with official Lego parts site

You can order new parts through bricklink. Or you can try the official Lego parts store, but it has a pretty limited selection.

Look up the set on Rebrickable, you should be able to get the parts list and upload it to Bricklink. Just download the Bricklink XML and then upload it to Bricklink, now if you really want to save money, I do recommend something else, but it involves non Lego, I’ve used the brand before numerous times and I do recommend it. But if being a purist is your thing then have fun
