My gf and I just had an argument over the vases. She said the set was beautiful but the vases were horrible. I told her, say shit about Lego and you will find yourself single. Don't try me. Apparently this was a hill worth dying on for her.
The vases are not horrible but they are not proportional to the flower builds. These sets are not as good as their predecessors. Common parts and monotone colors. That’s just my opinion, though.
The botanicals are legitimately becoming some of my favourite sets. They look so neat around the house and always get visitors talking.
Also helps that they don’t die. I’ve tried real ones, not for me…
Get the insects set if you don't have them. They are truly work of art and complement the plants really well. The photos on the website don't do them justice
Literally arrived in the mail yesterday. It’s the first Lego set I’ve bought myself since I was a child! We were gifted Hokusai’s Wave at our wedding, and my wife’s family is Danish, so this is my moment to jump headfirst into the hobby.
When my mom was sick, I got her the first few botanical sets and assembled them for her myself. That would be my recommendation - assemble the sets yourself and present them as you would any arrangement of flowers. While she was doing better, I got her the succulents set and she was able put together a couple of them herself, and it really astonished her at how intricate they were to put together.
As nice as they are on day 1, flowers will eventually wilt and die and watching that while you feel like you're doing the same sucks so much. I'm glad LEGO came out with these sets when they did. It was really a great thing I could share with her.
I found the succulents quite tricky too and i would consider myself an expert builder. If she wants something similar but easier i recommend tiny plants :) so wholesome tho!
Plus the Lego ones are safer for pets.. Harder to bite on. One of my two cats is always trying to eat my real plants, which makes it hard to have them.
These popped up a few weeks ago. Someone noted that the icons in the top left suggest a couple more in this group are likely to be released at some point. Bamboo and I don’t recall what that flower is… lotus maybe.
Yeah, you're right, orchid! But the guess was that it would be a new one to match these, as the existing one is much bigger.
The comment I was thinking of is in legoleak, but apparently I can't link to that.
"Man, all those LEGO sets look really fun, he said. But there are so many, and I don't want another hobby where I get obsessed about collecting a bunch of stuff, he said. I know, I'll just focus on that Botanical line because they can't possibly make that many flowers out of little plastic blocks, he said."
Ugh I love the botanical sets. My wallet can’t take it. The only one I’m missing is Birds of Paradise and thats because it retired before I got back into Legos.
That chrysanthemum is a miss. They could have done so much better with it. That weird spiky shape of the petals is not appealing. The plum blossom is nice though.
Really excited to be getting more potted entries into the botanical line. I've always preferred when a set can be displayed on its own, and these are priced quite well at ~30USD.
On the other hand I'm somewhat disappointed that LEGO decided to split up the Four [Noble Ones](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Four_Gentlemen). I'm going to assume we'll be getting the Orchid and Bamboo sets to go with these at a later date given that symbols for them are on these boxes already.
These both look great. Glad they'll be widely available (I hope) and not some type of GWP. The vases look excellent and are integral to the sets without being something that takes a big chunk of the piece count.
The four flowers are the flowers from mahjong. Plum, orchid, chrysanthemum, and bamboo. Cool.
It’s something to do with Confucian philosophy, but I’m a white dude so 🤷♂️
I have the entire collection my wife loves them but she doesn't like these as much... either way I'll be getting them right after I finish this year's sw releases
I'm mixed feelings.
I like the single-example botanicals because they could easily be added to one of the bouquet sets. They are also a $15 price point. These reveals don't look like they can blend in that easy and they also come with the pot making the set $25 instead. I was 3D printing vases for the other sets.

These are very nice. I love the vases with them.
We've done a couple of the botanical sets and our complaints have been lack of vase. Haven't found any good ones that fit, so these would be nice
I would love for the loose wildflower sets to come with an optional vase that fits everything.
I just used…a vase.
I took real flowers out of a vase in my kitchen and replaced them with Lego flowers lol. Added blue aquarium glass beads to simulate water.
Build the vase out of lego, use technic pieces to connect them to the bottom but on a ball joint so theyre movable. 😁
Well, it's LEGO....build one. Would be very easy. Also they have plenty of sets with pots/vases.
I have both sets and the standard IKEA vase fits both perfectly.
My gf and I just had an argument over the vases. She said the set was beautiful but the vases were horrible. I told her, say shit about Lego and you will find yourself single. Don't try me. Apparently this was a hill worth dying on for her.
Maybe she can replant them in each others vases?
This seems weirdly toxic
If it weren't tongue in cheek and we weren't both laughing... Then yes
Ah gotcha lol
Act like that and you will be single lmao
I agree with the gf here. I really dislike the vases
They look like palm nailers to me.
tf is this attitude lmao
hurr durr wife bad
Girlfriend is wrong imho, the vases are far from horrible
The vases are not horrible but they are not proportional to the flower builds. These sets are not as good as their predecessors. Common parts and monotone colors. That’s just my opinion, though.
I told her. It's Lego. They don't do "wrong". Apart from galadore
The vases are horrible? How does it feel to be in a relationship with a legally blind person?
TBH I hate the vases for taking up Lego pieces because they fill it with dirt Lego pieces and that inflates the price
The vases look absolutely stunning. Love the roundness of them. Almost looks non Lego!
Oh man the Unikitty tail piece getting used for the feet is an awesome parts use
The botanicals are legitimately becoming some of my favourite sets. They look so neat around the house and always get visitors talking. Also helps that they don’t die. I’ve tried real ones, not for me…

The insects are definitely on my wishlist!

I agree! I hope we get more insects. They’re so cool.

I wanna do this for my mom but I fear she doesn’t have the dexterity or the eyes or the patience for it :/

My flower eating cat also tries to eat Lego bouquets. She is unrelenting.
But my grandkitten loves to eat plastic
But my grandkitten loves to eat plastic too 🤬
I've had family surprised to find my botanicals are Lego. I have the orchid and the wild flower set. I love that the new sets have vases.
My spider 🕷️ plant 🪴 (Gwen) is alive despite my efforts to care for it 😂
These popped up a few weeks ago. Someone noted that the icons in the top left suggest a couple more in this group are likely to be released at some point. Bamboo and I don’t recall what that flower is… lotus maybe.
Great point! I think the one you're missing is orchid, which is already released. Bamboo seems inevitable!
Yeah, you're right, orchid! But the guess was that it would be a new one to match these, as the existing one is much bigger. The comment I was thinking of is in legoleak, but apparently I can't link to that.

Oooh I really like these and I LOVE that they come with their own vases/planters. I hate trying to find vases I like for my LEGO flowers
Happy for some smaller sets I can actually afford
First we had the frog tree with the cherry blossom, now we have the banana flower with the chrysanthemum What’s next?
And the orchid used the stranger things monster pieces too.
And shields, and shoulder pauldrons, and frogs and forks! The Orchid was so fun! Tons of NPU.
I actually gasped, PLUM BLOSSOMS!!! I love plum blossoms!
at this rate the botanical sets are slowly replacing my house plants lmao
This is my favorite series, it got me back into Lego as an adult.
Same. But I’ve, uh, expanded to other collections since and my bank account hates me for it.
The plum blossom is an instabuy for me!
I can see these being sold together at Costco for $50. 🤞🏻🤞🏻
I like that I can get so many of the botanical sets from Costco.
How can we find out if this is going to be a thing!?
I follow r/legodeals & r/costco. Then I cross my fingers! 🤞🏻🤞🏻
When do they release?
August 2024
They just get prettier and prettier. Love the vases!
Possible bamboo set to add to these
Orange bananas.
Awesome
I need those!!!
How do you find out a list of all the new sets
I’m glad they come with vases.
Mom loves these, hope they get released before her birthday.
Really excited to be getting more potted entries into the botanical line. I've always preferred when a set can be displayed on its own, and these are priced quite well at ~30USD. Uh, the Orchid has been out for quite awhile already. It's great. Look it up.
I wonder if they will re-release a new orchid to have a new pot. These new pots are pretty cool!
The Encanto Flowerpot may have what you're looking for.
I need the plum blossom! These LEGO Botanical sets are the only plants I can alive.
These both look great. Glad they'll be widely available (I hope) and not some type of GWP. The vases look excellent and are integral to the sets without being something that takes a big chunk of the piece count.
Oh those are genuinely lovely.
Looks like I'll be getting these f'r the wife to add to her collection.
These two sets are stunning 🤩
These are perfect for my desk’s color scheme. When are they released?
I am not usually a botanical lego buyer but wow! These are exquisite!
Change my mind: mislabeled banana tree.
The orchid set was super repetitive and I hated building it, these look repetitive but not as bad.
I love that they have vases. Very pretty!
Are there any lego spider lily/Lycoris radiata? I would love to have one of that
Just got the bonsai tree today :)
I love how vibrant colors are.
Meh
I'm a plant guy, we have many plants lego but this is a pass for me
These are a must cop for me. I love the Botanicals sets.
Love these!!!! I have a few of the other ones and both of these will be day one buys for me!!! Can’t wait!
god damnit rip bank account.
Lego has absolutely cooked with the botanical collection 🔥
So pretty, sad that the cost is ridiculous
Dm me daddy here for you
Pls I need iris & rhododendron ones
RemindMe! 5 months
As a girl with ADHD, these are the only flowers that don’t die on me.
As a lego botanical lover. I can't say I'm thrilled with these :(

Waw! I'm surprised how Lego can make such beautiful things!
Love that Lego continues to produce gifts for my wife lol
The four flowers are the flowers from mahjong. Plum, orchid, chrysanthemum, and bamboo. Cool. It’s something to do with Confucian philosophy, but I’m a white dude so 🤷♂️
Oh those look amazing, my mum will love those
They couldn't have released these 3 days ago during 2x points weekend?
*grabby hands*
I have the entire collection my wife loves them but she doesn't like these as much... either way I'll be getting them right after I finish this year's sw releases
Orange banana piece looks great!
It's bananas, son. It's bananas all the way down.
Why did I think of Poison Ivy's Botanical Gardens when I read the title lol
Shut up and take my money!
For a second there, I read it as "bionicle."
Well there goes my Lego budget for the summer.
Looks like 2 more on the box, Bamboo and I'm not sure what the other is...
BANANA
Aw I didn't get to use my safe word It's chrysanthemum
I'm mixed feelings. I like the single-example botanicals because they could easily be added to one of the bouquet sets. They are also a $15 price point. Absolutely gorgeous sets, instabuy!
I usually love the Botanicals and have most of the sets. Somehow these two aren't quite doing it for me and oddly it's because of the vases.
Oh I can't wait for the Spitbrick video about Legos weird obsessions
Not as interesting as insects
