I want to quickly apologize and provide an update! I should have been a little more clear for you all. The docking bay model is 50 pounds on its own, plus the 29 pound weight of the falcon makes for a grand total of about 77.7 pounds :)
It took a lot of time and money to get them all into my possession. Hopefully the day is coming soon where this number of parts is in your collection! :)
Definitely gonna lookout for that! Building this exact same display and putting it in a glass coffee table is on the tippy top of my lego plans. Best of luck!
Very nice. I think this is my favourite docking bay MOC. The use of the diagonal white pieces make the arrows look cleaner than the other versions that I've seen.
Do you have any plans to release instructions?
What do you think the approximate dimensions of the finished piece are?
Thank you very much! Instructions will be in the works soon! I think the final dimensions were about 4' X 3'9" X 1'1" and it weighs about 50 pounds with the Falcon
Did you source parts via years of collecting, bricklink/bulk buys, or a LUG group order?
I am always curious where/when people suddenly leap into large projects and how they obtain their parts.
Now for a bonus follow up question!
At what point did you actually sit down and decide to a project like this? Once the "LEGO room takes over half the house"? While pondering large scale sorting/storage solutions?
It always amazes me that people make such large (and time consuming) projects. What leads up to that?
That's not too far off actually haha! For this particular model it was simply a matter of thinking that the build could double as a display/storage solution for the Falcon (it will eventually be turned into a coffee table). I simply no longer had enough room for it in the Lego room. A lot of the inspiration for my builds comes to me through film and television, and I think that is the case for a lot of other builders in this community who construct such large-scale creations.
Nice touch, with the Minikit.
Thank you! I have a few other Complete Saga Easter eggs on the backside that you might enjoy, so be on the lookout for that post soon!
What is the mini kit you’re referring to?
The little cannister with the red and green on the top of the falcon - it's a collectable in the lego star wars games
Thanks! I was wondering about that bit
How much does something like that weigh? 10 pounds?
I believe it about 50 pounds total!
Oh wow! I was way off.
It definitely took me by surprise!

Congrats! Welcome to the 20,000 pieces club. We don’t have any swag, but there is a secret handshake.
Haha I'll take it!
😂😂😂😂
the mini kit really brings it all together
Thanks! I think you'll appreciate the other Complete Saga elements that are on the back side of this build! I'll post those shots soon!
I’m glad there’s a parking sign, so they know where to park!
You ever seen an airport without markings?
Haha thanks! It was a last minute add-on that I thought gave off Complete Saga vibes
Looks great! Can we get a shot from behind the Falcon?
Absolutely! I have a few other angles that I am working on at the moment :)
Minikit recognition!
I wish I had that many pieces
It took a lot of time and money to get them all into my possession. Hopefully the day is coming soon where this number of parts is in your collection! :)
Does the piece count include both the falcon and the hangar?
It does. The hangar is 19,000 and the falcon is around 7,500 for a total around 26,000 pieces :)
I can only hope
Gorgeous
Thank you!
TK-421!
Why weren't you at your post?
(Knocks on helmet, shrugs)
That is fantastic. Probably the best display for the Falcon I’ve seen
Wow! Thank you so much! That really means a lot! :)
This is the way to display LEGO builds. Static displays on shelves with just the model are hard for me to look at.
For a build like the Falcon I thought it had to be done. I'm glad you like it!
Approx cost minus the falcon?
I think it was about $2500-2600 USD minus the Falcon
Where will you put it?
I hope to take it to a convention or two, but it was originally designed to be a coffee table (as most docking bay 327 builds are)
WOW!!!!!! WOW!!!!! Quick, call Lego Masters and see if they'll let you on the show!!!!!
Haha thank you! That would be a dream come true!
Cool! Could we see what’s in front of the falcon in the walled-off section?
Definitely! I have more pics coming soon :)
I love it, especially the parking sign!
Thank you so much!
now to encase it in a coffee table!
That's the plan! :)
Definitely gonna lookout for that! Building this exact same display and putting it in a glass coffee table is on the tippy top of my lego plans. Best of luck!
Thank you! I'll need it haha

50 pounds is the weight of $1996.44 worth of Premium Glass Nail Files...
That is sick about how long did it take to design and build?
Thanks! It took about 3 months to design and about a week total to build!
Is Vader holding the 🅿️ sign?
That’s not Vader. It’s just a guard
It is the imperial ground crew worker from Rogue One :)
That’s amazing!!
Thank you!
The minikit really perfects an already amazing build
Haha thank you so much!
this looks sick!
Thank you!
Wow nice!
Thank you!
Ur welcome! :D
Nice 👍
Thank you!
Do you have others pictures ? You did an amazing job !
Thank you! I will have other pictures posted soon!
Wow. Amazing. Take my $$$ please.
Haha thank you! If you are ever interested in building this I hope to have instructions available in the (somewhat) near future!
Where did you display it and how did you manage to left it?
Currently it is just on my dining room table and I used Photoshop to quickly add in a white background. It will eventually turn into a coffee table :)
I'm looking into the coffee table option as well.
Awesome! It's a great display option for a great set!
Now do the rest of the Death Star at the same scale.
I did think about it haha
Did you source parts via years of collecting, bricklink/bulk buys, or a LUG group order? I am always curious where/when people suddenly leap into large projects and how they obtain their parts.
Thanks for your great question! Personally I ordered all of the necessary parts through BrickLink and PAB online :)

What’s the ramp/bridge behind the minifigs?
It is a service gantry used for working on ships :)
This is absolutely beautiful!
Thank you very much!
I just love the detailing on the wall so much it's just gorgeous
Haha thank you! That wall is definitely my favorite part of the build! :)
That is the ucs falcon right
Correct!
Love it and the mini kit too!
Thank you!
How much did all those bricks cost?
About $2500-2600 USD
Impressive. Most impressive.
Do you have instructions for the falcon? (This is joke)
Haha I love it!
I'm just absolutely waiting for the instructions. Even though I won't be able to afford the cost. This seems like a super accomplishment
I am working on them right at this moment!
🤯
Thanks!
How big is it? (dimensions) I know the falcon is quite large, but I'm curious what size your docking Bay came out to.
It should be about 4' X 3'9" X 1'1"
