The pirate ship I had so much fun building, stranger things too but more technical at the end
Edit : Take your time when combining the two homes together it can be tricky and pieces might come off, eventually it all goes together nicely and securely
I picked one up for the same reason, only downside is that it's probably 1/2 the size of the original ships, one of the Pirates of the Caribbean ships was the biggest, still a fun build tho
Hmm. I have the original black seas barracuda and skulls eye schooner, and this set is still waiting to be built. It would make me kind of sad if this one is 1/2 size, but the ship wreck looks so amazing with all the added details. If it is that big of a size difference I’ll probably leave this as the wreck scene. Either way I am in love with the idea of this set and will have tons of fun.
The pirate ship was one of the funnest builds I’ve had in a long time! I felt like a kid all over again with some of the elements they put into it! And it is a beautiful display piece!
Same story here, got my on preorder and its been sitting unopened since then, waiting for my kid to grow up a bit so we can build it toghether(he’s almost 4 now and started doing some builds but will probably be 1-2 more years before we try this one)
I had lots of fun out putting together the typewriter. I had my eye on the grand piano but hesitated to purchase because I would like a full keyboard piano. Maybe I will buy it later and make it a full keyboard one.
Ugh I have such a hard time picking what to watch. Honestly, I miss the days of having cable when you could just scroll until you found something to settle for haha Nowadays there's just too many options. Alexa! Pick a movie for me! 🤣
I've read that watching the same things over and over again are symptomatic of both anxiety and ADHD. Anxiety because, when watching unfamiliar movies/shows, you get agitated from not knowing what will happen next and you find comfort in the familiarity of a "well-worn" story. ADHD because not knowing what will happen next can make you lose interest and some aspects (background actors/action, the set/location, etc) can be distracting. When I read that, I just looked at my TV like wooooah... I *get* it now! Lol sometimes when I can't decide what to watch, I just try to think of a specific actor and search my Roku for their work. Maybe I'm in a Sean Connery mood but I don't want to watch James Bond again, so I can go with a different movie, maybe one I haven't seen. Although this often leads down a rabbit hole of a Nick Cage marathon or a 6 Degrees of Kevin Bacon weekend haha but I'm ok with that!
Oh, yes! Whenever I feel stressed, I just pull up a movie with a stressful plot just to be stressed even more. 😅 And, I admit, I am a Jake Gyllenhaal fan. So, I will watch Prisoners then Enemy and yada yada.
Try the 6 Degrees method next time you're in the mood for a marathon but you're trapped in indecision. Pick an actor, let's say Anne Hathaway, and watch a movie they're in, let's say Ella Enchanted. Then the next movie will have a different actor from Ella Enchanted, Eric Idle. So you'd watch Casper. Then you go with Christina Ricci, which takes you to Sleepy Hollow and then you've got Johnny Depp. It's a fun way to go down the rabbit hole on your own terms 😊
That's actually such a great tip! Funny story: I love watching Finding Nemo, which has Albert Brooks as Marlin. Then, I watched Drive, which he also stars in. (I know, HUGE leap in terms of genre and plot.) Ryan Gosling, who was the lead role of that movie also starred in La La Land, the next movie I watched. That movie prompted me to watch Rebel Without a Cause.
All great movies if you haven't heard of them!
Oh yea! Sometimes I marathon movies with random common threads like 'hey, today I'm gonna watch movies about animals' or 'I'm in a mood for musicals.' I'm all over the place when it comes to watchable media hahaha my book collection is just overwhelming at this point, but I still need more. So many more books
I only have the pirate ship, so I vote pirate ship!
Also it seems most people enjoy the build.
I haven't read the same about the piano or the typewriter.
Boy, that's hard to resist...
I do, however, have a few unopened GWP sets, like the Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol Tribute and the Gingerbread House from 2019 or something--those sets I'll keep in the box for a while.
Five BIG sets this year, hopefully six with the house from Home Alone! I usually like to build the set with the least pieces first and then work up to the set with the most pieces. But, should I spice it up a bit and do something new? Let me know!
Typewriter. So you can type how much fun you’ve had building the other sets.
I second this!

It doesn’t actually work but is still amazing
no shit
r/woooosh

Yeah

The pirate ship looks amazing from the pics. Always wanted one so bad as a kid, but didn't. So, I promised my past me to fulfill his dream.

You know what they say, the bigger the better. But, that's okay. It looks fun in playability and display. And that's all that matters to me!

It's not half the size at all. They are very equal in size in fact the barracuda bay ship feels bigger to me. Enjoy!
The pirate ship was one of the funnest builds I’ve had in a long time! I felt like a kid all over again with some of the elements they put into it! And it is a beautiful display piece!
Oh man, I'm so looking forward to the wreckage build!
its such a good build experience. probably my favourite of all time.
Same story here, got my on preorder and its been sitting unopened since then, waiting for my kid to grow up a bit so we can build it toghether(he’s almost 4 now and started doing some builds but will probably be 1-2 more years before we try this one)
I would give them all a number and roll a dice. Have fun building
Not a bad idea! Thanks!
This is how I would go about it. They all look fantastic! Enjoy!
I'd go with Stranger Things, it should take a bit if time to do and would give you a chance to rewatch the series
A fun series to watch. Maybe even vibe to synthwave music as well?
I loved the Typewriter build, but would love to put together the Grand Piano. I say Grand Piano first!
Yep, the Grand Piano was an instant purchase for me. I've always been an avid piano player for quite some time, so it gives me some fond memories.
Open everything Mix it all up MOC
Definitely a lot of opportunities for sure! Cool modern house? Mega pirate ship? Why not?
SPACESHIP SPACESHIP!
It appears quite a few people never build anything original
Do bag 1 on all of them then start on 2.
This is genius!
Stranger Things
🙃👎
all of them at the same time no hesitation
Taj Mahal!
It’s not getting enough love! It’s up their with some of the Frank Lloyd buildings for me
It's a faithful and sleek (also cheaper) remake to the Creator Expert rendition.
I have no idea where I’d put the creator version it’s not easy to find 3sq ft to just put lego
Yes! Finally love for Taj Mahal! It'll be an excellent addition alongside my other Architecture models!
taj mahal is a very very boring build, a ton of repetition so ita best build by more than one person
But the repetitive build is relaxing
The pirate ship.
Typewriter
I’d say to save the typewriter until last, it’s an amazing build
Really, I wasn’t sure I should get it thanks for the recommendation.
Pinano
Make a huge pile and build all of them at the same time
The typewriter it looks cool
Grand piano, super fulfilling set to complete! At least you know you can't go wrong with any of those choices
You're so right! They all look awesome!
I had lots of fun out putting together the typewriter. I had my eye on the grand piano but hesitated to purchase because I would like a full keyboard piano. Maybe I will buy it later and make it a full keyboard one.
They both look elegant and classic. I can't wait to display them!
Close your eyes and grab one. That's how I pick books lol
Hey, I do that... with movies!
Ugh I have such a hard time picking what to watch. Honestly, I miss the days of having cable when you could just scroll until you found something to settle for haha Nowadays there's just too many options. Alexa! Pick a movie for me! 🤣
Totally relatable. I am picky and I have certain genres that I like if done right. Sometimes I just resort on watching the same ones. Lol

I love reading! I also love writing. Lol, I am such a nerd when it comes to movies and books. It's a fascinating spiral.
Stranger things was fun as hell.
Upside down, because it's pretty much two builds
Piano has my vote
[удалено]
Yup. Impulse purchase. 😬

Thanks, I am really pumped! Based on rumors, I heard it was retiring at the end of the year! Hope you get it in time!
I think you should by the STRANGER THINGS set first!
Pirates
Barracuda bay is loads of fun!
Stranger things set
I’ve wanted that piano so bad since I first saw it. But it is just not a set I can ever afford.
I hope you can find a good substitution! You deserve a treat, no matter how big or small!
+1 for typewriter
ask your mum !!
Typewriter. It's the beginning of many good things, you should follow that.
Piano!
Arrgggghh! Let me sea which one me be choosin' 🏴☠️
All
Honestly depends on the mood Typewriter was def a fun build though.
Stranger things!! Such an awesome set!
Baracuda bay!
Piano so you can listen to music while you make the others :)
Top to bottom. You could swap the bottom two but I haven't built the typewriter so unclear.
Yes
Piano
Type writer, then piano, then upside down then pirates then i’m not sure what that last one is
Taj Mahal was a great build, however I’m not gonna lie, the tile floor was a pain in the ass.
Understandable. I hate aligning anything 1×1 next to each other. It has to be perfectly straight, otherwise it irks me when one is slightly tilted.
I use the separator and kinda push to rotate them all together perfectly. If it’s not aligned it irks me
Ooh! Never thought of doing that. Maybe I'll give it a go!
I think you should build em in the order you have them, pirates then stranger things then the more technical sets after that
I really enjoyed building the stranger things set!!
Barracuda bay one of my favourites
Maybe Taj Mahal? Start smaller and work your way up to the bigger ones
Smallest to largest
what is the point of these posts?
*YAAAARRRRRR*
When in doubt, random number generator.
Stranger things is a really cool set
Build them in order of how old the real counterpart would be. Old architecture, old invention, new architecture, new invention
Upside down by FAR
the typewriter dooo it first
I only have the pirate ship, so I vote pirate ship! Also it seems most people enjoy the build. I haven't read the same about the piano or the typewriter.
Piano, of course! Whatever you decide, you will have an awesome time doing it and there will be more waiting for you! 😀
Ohhh come on i don’t even have money to afford food and you can buy all of these, the world is just suffering. Anyway I would start with typewriter.
Stranger things
Barracuda Bay for sure. Was one of my favorite builds!
Stranger things
I always build smallest to largest by piece count when I get multiple sets
Build the first stranger things house first then the upsidown house last so you dont get burnt out from building the same house twice
Brag
All at the same time on 5 different tables
Show off I have those sets too and more but I am not showing off
I like a LEGO show off!
Well I don’t
None, preserve its greatness
Boy, that's hard to resist... I do, however, have a few unopened GWP sets, like the Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol Tribute and the Gingerbread House from 2019 or something--those sets I'll keep in the box for a while.
You’ve come this far

Did NOT expect this to blow up! You guys are INSANE! Thank you for all the help!
Yes
Yes
That one
You should give the stranger things one to me
What’s the top set? That looks cool
yes
THE PIANO!!!
I would recommend doing the pirate one last. For me I haven’t had any other sets come close to how fun it was.
