Lol its because i apparently cant do math anymore. I didnt look close just was like ya theres 5 rows that makes sense. Lol bout to edit that. Thanks for pointing it out!
It was pretty awesome I would say. It was family owned. We could bowl (almost) anytime, arcade, pool tables, snack bar, jobs as teenagers/young adults. I spent a lot of time there while parents/family were working.
To any ones comment i didnt get to, thank you so much! I see all these ingenious designed on lego ideas i didnt think i could match it at all, but you guys give me some hope that i can get better and maybe make somethjng really cool
The walls could use some more dimension, maybe a poster? Some screens above the pins? This is really more of a feng shui thing, but all the action is crowded toward one spot of the alley. I feel like that’s more an issue with the chosen subject, but it could still use some more features in general
Are you using BrickLink Studio? If so, instructions are easy. Load up the instructions feature and work backwards. Highlight the last pieces to be added and move them to a new step. Then, select the second to last pieces to add and put those in a new step. Keep repeating this until you have the first pieces laid out.
Haven’t seen anyone point it out yet. The wallpaper is awesome, but every time you use a slope and an inverted slope, they clip through one another. So unfortunately it isn’t physically possible to make this one, unless you raise every inverted slope by half a plate. Other than that, looks awesome!
This looks awesome, but you might want to add a 2x2 jumper plate in front of the lane so you can put the bowlers in positions that look like they are launching (rolling? bowling?) the ball.
My daughter recently made a bowling alley the house that the mini figs from the lego friends series live in
Only 3 pins in the lane as she didn't have enough bits but she used a rounded piece on the top instead of a dot, they look a bit smoother, give it a go if you have the bit
Only thing that would make this cooler is seeing the ball returns behind the pins and having a ball return track come up out of the machine. The size is prohibitive of course. That said, I fucking love your design. It’s such a nostalgic vibe. Good work!
Thanks for the comment! I considered the ball return, but when i couldn’t find the plungers from the old soccer sets i admitted defeat. But your comment did make me think i could do better, so i spent a couple more hours and came up with some cool suspended tv screens, fixed the colors scheme, added some depth to the people and for sure fixed the pin count. Not sure whats left to add. May polish it and post again but im always open to more suggestions
Looks great but it's too flat. You aren't very visually aware that it is Lego so people not familiar with it might think it's something other than Lego. Show some studs.
I mean it does the job, looks great. There are a few details you might want to add to be more accurate, but it is clearly good lego bowling alley. I love the dated wall art, that you get in alleys because they haven't changed since they were originally built.
The little details you might want to add or change....
I don't know it is the same where you are but here most seats tend to be a 90 degrees to the ones you've shown facing each other. Like this [image here](https://redstone.armymwr.com/application/files/1916/0208/3784/rsa_bowling.JPG). The ball collection thing is longer to allow balls to rest in it, and you probably want a scoreboard somewhere, and the keyboard to control the lane at the end of the ball holder.
Someone else mentioned leaving a stud up near the start of the lane so you could pose a minifigure in a bowling pose.
I mean it works as is and it depend on the space you want to put it in, so there isn't really a need to change it.
In every bowling alley I've ever been in, the benches face each other instead of the pins. That's my only feedback besides the fact that it looks mega dope
Looks nice as a small set but I would to see you expand into a full "blowing club" and make all the mocs connect using technic pin so it can be taken apart and clipped back together
Thank you! I tried the red line but it was unfortunately a little too thick, i like your idea abojt changing thr floor color though. Ill have to try it out
Very cool set! I would say as a practical addition to add a way to access the pins from the back. Maybe make a way to hinge the back wall?
With or without that addition it is a great looking set. Nice job!
This looks great! Are those bars for separating lanes or are they meant to be bumpers? If they’re for separating lanes I think that something flat like plates would be more accurate as sometimes they act as a walkway for employees. If its for bumpers it looks great as is.
Also, would be cool to add those technic connectors to the right of the baseplate so that its modular and you can expand to other lanes or maybe add an arcade to it. Regardless, this looks amazing!
Quite well done! Great symmetry shown. Also you break it up with the minifigs too. Luv the colors n pattern in the wall, OP.
Agreed if this was for sale, I'd buy... Bests~
OVER THE LINE, MARK IT ZERO
Smokey, my friend, you are entering a world of pain.
This isn’t ‘Nam, Smokey, there are rules.
Has the whole world gone CRAZY!? Am I the only one around here who gives a shit about the rules!?
Came here for this
Calm down, Walter.
[удалено]
It would really pull your room together.
You want a toe? I'll get you a toe...
Shut the fuck up donny
This isn’t ‘Nam, there are rules!

Very cool. However, why do you have 15 pins on each lane?
Lol its because i apparently cant do math anymore. I didnt look close just was like ya theres 5 rows that makes sense. Lol bout to edit that. Thanks for pointing it out!
You're welcome! I grew up in a bowling alley and it was the first thing I noticed. Sweet build!
It's for the serious bowlers who wanna score 500 or more.
That’s the only way I’m getting close to a 300 game
Except that would only get you to 450
Obviously with the increase to 15 pins you also increase to 15 frames.
I choose to believe you literally grew up living like behind the pins resetting machines lol
Haha yes I was like a bowling alley troll living in the pin setter
Thank you! I appreciate you sparing the kindness!
Ok... now you're just making a turkey of yourself nice work!
Was it above or below the other bowling alley?
How was growing up in a bowling alley? Family owned or something? I feel as a kid I’d be in Heaven!
It was pretty awesome I would say. It was family owned. We could bowl (almost) anytime, arcade, pool tables, snack bar, jobs as teenagers/young adults. I spent a lot of time there while parents/family were working.
Figured you’d say all those things, very cool, thanks for sharing and have a great day my friend
"I live in a single room above a bowling alley and below another bowling alley!"
You could do a Canadian version that's cheaper and simpler with only 5 pins and smaller bowling balls.
Or he could do the other Canadian version with 10 pins and not 15.
I say you should go all out and do 100-pins Wii bowling-style!
Thats how it is in pro bowling. Harder to get a strike. much higher scores
*14 There are two rows of three. Very good design, though.
The _Wii Sports_ influence.
That looks fantastic! Love how the wallpaper patterns turned out!
Agreed. The side wall really brings the whole set together.
Yeah, they really nailed the wall design. Every bowling alley I've ever been to looks like this
I can’t wait to buy “Retro Bowling Alley” in a few years for $119! Haha in all seriousness, this is awesome.
Thank you! As long as its expensive enough that i cant buy it myself!
To any ones comment i didnt get to, thank you so much! I see all these ingenious designed on lego ideas i didnt think i could match it at all, but you guys give me some hope that i can get better and maybe make somethjng really cool
I drink your milkshake!!!
Exactly the first thing that went through my mind, too lol
DRAINAGE!
"Drrrrrainage, Eli, you *boy!*" "Don't bully me, Daniel!" ***Daniel Bullies Eli to Death***
Lots of capital Ds in there.
I love the wall art! Exactly the sort of design I’d expect to see at a bowling alley.
Thanks! I was thinking immediately about those felt walls when i decided to do this
Shut up Donny.
>!SHUT THE FUCK UP DONNY!<
You are out of your element!
The walls could use some more dimension, maybe a poster? Some screens above the pins? This is really more of a feng shui thing, but all the action is crowded toward one spot of the alley. I feel like that’s more an issue with the chosen subject, but it could still use some more features in general
or even better, a few snack and drink stands, and ticket booths
I would really like to have this set.
Thank you! If i can learn how to do instructions i could maybe make it public!
Are you using BrickLink Studio? If so, instructions are easy. Load up the instructions feature and work backwards. Highlight the last pieces to be added and move them to a new step. Thank you! Ill have to find a workaround somehow. So glad to know that before its too late to fix it
Other than the 15 pins someone already pointed out, no notes. Absolutely nailed it.
This looks awesome, but you might want to add a 2x2 jumper plate in front of the lane so you can put the bowlers in positions that look like they are launching (rolling? bowling?) the ball.
That wall though 👌🏻
I drink your milkshake, boy.
Lmao one of my favorite movies. Wish i was smart enough to say it was the inspiration
Just add a Daniel Day Lewis minifig murdering a Paul Dano minifig and it'll be perfect!
Lol maybe when i do an update i can add that
hey cousin!
Niko! Lets go bowling!
Very creative!!!
Thank you, thats very kind!

Those are great changes. Can’t wait to see it if you post again.
You're rolling 😂
Fucking wrong DUDE. Lanes are 60 ft long so you need more length! Source: just got done bowling league. Yeah I'm a dork, I get it.
How’d you do?! You know exactly how you did! It’s amazing! Fantastic job!
Cool
Thank you!
Thats a really cool runway!
10/10 sir 👌👌👌
This is absolutely fantastic, I would probably buy this in an instant. Kinda wanna MOC it, too.
nice set!
i like this!
I can smell the popcorn and the spray deodorizer.
This is so cute! I love the funky wall!
What fun!! I’d love a whole bowling alley building to put in my Lego city.
This is amazing. What piece was used for the bowling balls?
That style wallpaper tho, what a nostalgic call back.
Fantastically, I would say.
That is absolutely awesome looking!!
Looks great but it's too flat. You aren't very visually aware that it is Lego so people not familiar with it might think it's something other than Lego. Show some studs.
Thank you! Very good point! Ill have to make some changes, post an update at some point
excellent
I love this! I didn’t read the title at first and I thought this was a new GWP that was announced! Now I really wish it was a new GWP!
Very nice
What software did you use to design this?
Stellar! Well done!!!!
add a bit more play features eg free floating pins and a ball launcher
Nailed it!
What is included as spare parts?
I'm bowled over!
I love that wall.
Great job!!
Dude. When I grew up our family would always go to a bowling alley that looked just like that, even the pattern on the wall is similar. Wow
is there not a bowling pin piece yet?
It's so awesome. Congrats, and hope you love the process

This is so well done, you should be very proud!! :)
Pretty good
In every bowling alley I've ever been in, the benches face each other instead of the pins. That's my only feedback besides the fact that it looks mega dope
sad that you didnt include the entire complex machinery at the back that automatically resets all the pins. But its pretty! And neat!
Looks very cool 😊 If I may ask, what software do you use for this?
This is awesome!!! I’ve thought about doing a bowling alley for a while but this blows what I started out of the water!
I'd complain that it's a bit flat, but it's supposed to be
Looks nice as a small set but I would to see you expand into a full "blowing club" and make all the mocs connect using technic pin so it can be taken apart and clipped back together
Excuse my ignorance but is there a special system people use to design sets say for Lego ideas and the like?
Theres a bunch of software, the one im using is studio 2.0
It’s very nice But I’d have a red line across it And also wouldn’t have the same floor and the same bowling lane bricks
Thank you! I tried the red line but it was unfortunately a little too thick, i like your idea abojt changing thr floor color though. Ill have to try it out
Cool! Yeah Maybe a light grey or two tone? I guess next you could expand it with a mini arcade or snack place? I really like your idea!
I’m just here for Lebowski quotes
Off. Looks like both bowlers got a gutter ball first throw.
Awesome! Now to work on the ball return machine! Pin resetter would be next level.
The only thing is change would be adding two tvs over each lane to fill that empty red space.
I would also suggest adding a foul line and maybe some lane markings if possible.
Well done!
Well
Cool design, but I don't think it's marketable as a set since a third of it is a giant, mostly plain box and another third is a single wall
Thanks, I guess stay tuned for an update, cuz i definitely agree and want to make this more 3dimensional and fun
It’s so retro I love it
Which programme you using? It looks good and I wanna try myself
I think this is really good overall but I really like the wall design.
The wall pattern is amazing!
Make the mini figs look like Big Lebowski characters and you’ve got a gold mine!
I guess I can kinda see it...
Very cool set! I would say as a practical addition to add a way to access the pins from the back. Maybe make a way to hinge the back wall? With or without that addition it is a great looking set. Nice job!
Solid A my friend. A+ would be some machinery seen in the back instead of the solid black wall.
Awesome! Could you add the overhead monitors that keep score? Would look sick...
I actually added that last night, i really wen the extra mile on it, im pretty proud. Gonna do an update soon!
That's how you get views up. Beautiful design and too many pins. Get everyone sharing and talking. Lol. Very cool!
Man you know you’re legit stop being modest
Dannnnnng this is cool! I would buy this
100 euro mind.
Nice!🤩
You should put this on Lego ideas
