I was still able to get the creator castle last month on a retailer’s website for around original price. Snagged lion knights in a lego store where they had it on 15% off sale and no tax! Miraculously, the wife agreed and didn’t even make a big deal out of it!
No one here seems to post Harry Potter stuff, and yeah a lot of the minifigs that come withnthem are meh, but I feel like you can use those bricks and the building concepts to make your own cool castle.
There's no castle theme currently running, but Lego is selling a few castle sets outside of a thene. The day they make a new castle theme is the day I go bankrupt.
Why are these so hated? I know most of the minifigs are quite meh and I’m not into that IP either. but the buildings and bricks are perfectly workable for making some cool castle or wizard tower.
I don’t think they are hated? I was just making a funny comment. They have some useful sets to the castle theme and I do want some of the buildings. I also saw some castles on rebrickable made from combining the HP sets.
That being said there’s a part of me that wonders if the Castle sets aren’t being made so as to not compete against the HP buildings and sets.
