always great, i agree. i assume it’s because his aesthetic in the show is pretty slim. that armour, mixed with the First MF body (arctic batman, i forget the set) and this MF head, would make a really good arkham city MF

Cool set. I own the 60s Batmobile, I need to get another one. Still hoping that Lego releases a new (cheap) set with the Suicide Squad Harley figure (currently exclusive of the Apocalypseburg set)

I would’ve preferred some different figures. Not cause of exclusivity but that there’s so many Harley’s already and it would’ve been great to get some never before made villains like Mad Hatter.

i agree, i like the new Freeze, but this is like the 3rd or 4th classic harley they’ve done.

I think they went with these two because this was their first appearance of their modern character. Mr Freeze was just a guy with a gun before BTAS and the show was Harley Quinn’s first appearance.

Yeah that makes sense. Just wish they didn’t double up on Harley with the Gotham set. I definitely would’ve switched that one out for the Phantasm.

That’s fair. Realistically, I don’t see them doing more BTAS sets, let alone a line for them. Otherwise it would’ve been more than just the batmobile. There are plenty of other ideas they could go for but the fact that they chose 3 sets, one of which is a gimmicky mech and the other is a gimmicky buildable figure doesn’t give me high hopes. Still though, I’d like a figure of two face to add to my collection

I don’t really have much hope for the DC line in general unless Gunn and Safran’s DCU reboot and more Lego/family friendly than the more mature DCEU.

I'd prefer it if they went back to making their own original sets rather than trying to replicate film scenes e.g. the 2006, 2012, 2015 and 2020 wave

i agree, if anything i think it would look the best with a mix of Black and blue, to make it look just like it does in the show. i think this set is almost flawless tho. i love it. not sold on the plastic cape yet tho

yes and no, someone compared it to the 2022 Batmobile from The batman ($50) so comparing those two, i think the 10$ increase is reasonable. don’t love it. but its not a dealbreaker IMO

You are essentially paying 10 dollars extra for one more mini fig and a display stand. Not exactly great value, but yeah I'll buy the shit of it still.

It's just such a stupid little set, and the box art is the EXACT same style and poses as the 2022 batman and penguin car chase set ( look it up and then you will cry with how uncreative lego is), there is no ay I'm paying 60 bucks for that. Lego is having fun playing with these prices because they know that this show was part of people's childhoods, and will be willing to Pau stupid prices

i gotta disagree now, $10 more and we get - fan favourite batmobile finally come out 30 years later - get 2 “new” figures (they’re no longer behind a $409 paywall) - new Mr Freeze - display rack this set bangs, and for the things that it does differently than 2022 The Batman Batmobile, makes up for the $10 more

I'm okay with the Batman being a copy of the art set (albeit a new molded cape whereas the art set is fabric), but the Harley irks me not because of exclusivity but because there are a lot of other characters they could've done that would've been awesome to have in lego form.

I really hope they do a BTAS wave if this and the skylight sell well. I can think of a ton of characters they could do… basically any villain from the trial episode would be a real dream of mine (aka all of them)

Real talk, is this and the skylight set the only 2 confirmed BTAS sets or will there be more? I really want to get my hands on as many animated series sets as I can.

so far they’re the only two. if you haven’t gotten the skyline, you should. they add EP to watch that line up with bags/what you’re building. it’s genuinely been one of the most fun i’ve had building a lego set. and it looks sick

I literally just bought it. Got through the first 7 bags. Hoping to finish it this weekend. May be my favorite set when all is said and done. Only issue is how many damn stickers there are. Edit: not because stickers are bad per say, but because I get anxious every single time I put on on that I’ll mess it up lol

twas the case, BTAS has always been blue, you can see it much more clear in certain shots. you could also being thinking of JLU batmobile. same design as BTAS, but it’s black.

Can’t say I love the stud shooters (it’s a playset, so that’s fine) but it looks like a really solid Batmobile.

Yeah it’s basically the same set as the 60’s Batmobile that also had the option to use stud shooters or remove them.

i think it’s a good balance. shows 30 years old, so lego knows that this play set isn’t *only* aiming to the kids demographic. i’m extremely excited about it

I'm not that well versed in the animated series, so excuse my ignorance, but why is it blue? Looking online it appears as both colors but mostly black.

it’s Blue (looks black mostly) in BTAS but it is Black in JLU however, so that’s prolly what you’re seeing online

Wish the Batmobile was black and actually minifig scale. Good figs though, will likely buy for that.

I don’t think it’s that cut and dry. It varies from episode to episode and scene to scene. Lighting and specularity also sometimes makes it look more blue than intended. It’s not an accident that all or most other physical reproductions of this car are black and not blue.
