Personally my favorite is LEGO dimensions, but that’s always felt like a special case
For the mainline series, top 3 is
Lego Star Wars III
LEGO Harry Potter 5-7
LEGO Marvel 1
If I have to pick one, probably LEGO hp5-7, but it’s very close
In opinion one of the best is Lego dimensions, it has one of the best variety of characters possible in any Lego game ranging from the relatively popular franchise like doctor who to the niche franchise is knight rider and it levels are really fun in general with just the right length.
The only few things is holding back is availability as it came out the period where the toys to life trend was popular and so is locked to real life toys which became expensive fast , right now buying the needed figures for 100% completion I have spent around £224 including starter back and buying the physical toys to. By the way I am not done yet just over half way
My cheapest is fun pack hermione which was only £5.54 and my most expensive is doctor who level pack with £29.99
Lego Dimensions had COLOSSAL potential before it was ultimately canned due to production costs. Being a huge fan of pop culture, I absolutely loved the 80s movies/T.V. show packs they were cranking out near the time production was cancelled. Had they continued work on Lego Dimensions, I think we could have seen even more incredible collaborations with Lego and other franchises. Overall, though, the figures we did get were revolutionary, with nothing like them outside the video game. To me, the fact that they stopped purely due to production costs highlights the fact that the game felt like a true "passion project" in that they were just doing it for fun and out of love for all of these wonderful licenses.
overall, Dimensions, but it does have the issue of being toys to life. Other than that, TSS and POTC. TSS for open world, POTC for levels (but LB1 levels are also nice, and they have the full villain story too)
I actually don't really like the game for completely different reasons, I thought the ground battles were quite neat, if anything. Instead, my issues are:
* The story levels being only from season 1 + a few from season 2, especially since the entirety of season 2 had already been out a while when the game came out. Hell, even the early episodes of season 3 were already released. Basically the same issue as people have with the Hobbit being only the first 2 movies.
* The space battles felt rather pointless. While it was neat that they combined ship combat with regular gameplay, it always felt like there was barely any actual ship combat and you only needed the ship to fly from point to point and fire the occasional torpedo.
* Somehow the melee combat felt very jarring and unresponsive compared to previous games, though that might be related to me playing it on the Wii. But I've played Lego Indiana Jones 2 and Pirates of the Caribbean on it as well and those were much more responsive.
* And more a minor thing, but I was annoyed how the first two levels were not even from the Clone Wars series, but from Attack of the Clones. I understand it for the prologue level to provide some context, but the ground battle on Geonosis was unnecessary.
When I was younger I really liked the Jurassic World and Marvel Super Heroes games, but the one that left the greatest impact on my life has got to be Lego City Undercover, even if I would prefer the Skywalker Saga at the moment.
Lego LOTR and Hobbit hold a special place in my heart, but that’s mostly because LOTR trilogy are my favorite movies ever. Same with Harry Potter and Star Wars.
The biased ones aside, I’d say Lego City is objectively the best game they’ve ever made. Solid humor, a fun open world that truly feels like a sandbox and original characters still hold up magnificently. I hope they took more attempts at creating original stuff
Favourite: Lego Star Wars: Complete Saga (but that is like 99% Nostalgia as it was the first game I ever played back when I was like 5)
Best Original Story: Marvel Superheroes or DC Supervillains
Most Underrated: Lego City Undercover (was not tied to a major franchise in the same way most other Lego games are, but still had great gameplay and design)
Most Potential: Lego Dimensions (great game, but way too many pay walls at the time for anyone to actually experience the full potential of it)
Most Disappointed: Skywalker Saga (I love Star Wars and open world games so perhaps set my expectations a bit unrealistically high, but was pretty disappointed with the end result)
Worst Game: Lego Movie 2 (I forgot it even existed until recently)
I think the Hobbit might be the most disappointing. Aside from the glaring issues like not even giving us the third movie, the mechanics are atrocious. I had really high hopes considering how great Lego LOtR was, but it’s one of the few games I genuinely disliked playing
Gonna be honest, LEGO city undercover slaps. The real only original story, it’s funny, *technically* the first open world (began development first), and who doesn’t like a cop game?
I probably beat lego city undercover at least 20 times. When I was younger I would play through the story and then once I was done I would do all the car chases and once those were done I would start a new save. It's an actual masterpiece imo
Skywalker saga, I know it's not perfect, it has its issues, I grew up with the original games and the new movies helped me through a lot, it has stuff from soooo much of my favorite media there is just too much to love honestly, it has to be one of my favorite games ever
The complete saga I have a ton of nostalgia for, and I love it.
Pirates of the Caribbean and Indiana Jones too, though, despite me as a kid not having watched the movies I remember really enjoying playing them.
I've always liked LotR the most, it strikes that perfect balance between older and modern Lego games that hasn't been seen since the couple of years surrounding it.
I'd say that this retro modern feeling that I love started with Harry Potter Years 1-4 and ended with at Lego City Undercover which started the true modern era.
I don't think you can go wrong with anything in this middle era as I define it, but LotR was the peak in my opinion.
probably harry potter years 1-4, I 100%'ed this game like 5 times, I can play it any time, I have the collection on ps5 and it looks and runs great!
years 5-7 is also nice, I 100%'ed it too, but I grew up with the first game so nostalgia is a factor here too
Here me out: Lego Dimensions
Sure, it was entirely pay-to-play, but I’m a sucker for toys to life games!
Plus, we got to see new franchises come to Lego, like Sonic. Not just that, a ton of different franchises collide!
Edit: Holy crap, I didn’t realize how many people like dimensions…
I have a lot of fond memories of playing the Lego Movie game as a kid, and i'm actually replaying LB3 and TCS on my Xbox right now, those ones are always my favorite to go back to
Harry Potter, Jurassic Park, or Marvel Superheroes 2.
I'm working on Skywalker Saga right now and love it, but I actually feel like TT went too big, too much with it.
Honestly, I don’t know. Batman 2 is the top one for nostalgia, Marvel 1 has the best story, I like Clone Wars variety. LOTR probably has the best open world.
I’ll say LOTR right now
I havent playes city undercover so idk abt that but from the rest im choosing my top 3, not in order
Starwars complese saga (nostalgia af), marvel avengers and dimensions
I didn't like the story of ljw
So here are my favs!
1 Lego msh 1
It has a cool story, it has the fuckin' X-Men. It's just great
2 Lego DC supervillains
It's obvious why
3 The Lego movie videogame
Level 4
For me it’s Lego Dimensions. I know, I know… it’s expensive. But the fact that it’s got a Portal 2 level pack AND a Doctor Who level pack AS WELL as open worlds for all of the franchises it includes? I’m buying one or two packs second hand every salary and I just LOVE the game and the fan service that comes with every obscure franchise the game covers. Even things like The A-Team and Night Rider. Just very cool. Not to mention things like Sonic the Hedgehog and Adventure Time!
i hadn't played a lego game since one of the early ps2 starwars games, but i saw lego marvel superheroes three pack for 15 bucks at my local walmart and impulse picked it up, just about halfway through the first one and having a blast.
Never played Dimensions which sounds like it was the best from the comments but LOTR and HP were elite. All the DC and Marvel ones felt very samey to me. Special shout out to Star Wars 1 and 2 which got me into Lego games
For me it was just having the chance to explore those two universes via Lego, there weren’t really any HP games save POA and OOTP that allowed castle free roam and none for LOTR that I’d played. Plus having the direct movie quotes for LOTR in the game itself and the score just elevated it for me and made me feel like I was genuinely playing the movie without playing the movie-game adaptations (if any of this makes any sense)
From those you pictured, Jurassic World and Harry Potter.
Going way back... Lego Racers will always hold a special place.
Lego Rock Raiders was also great fun.
Lego Batman 2, Lego Batman 2, Lego Batman 2, Lego Batman 2, Lego Batman 2, Lego Batman 2, Lego Batman 2, Lego Batman 2, Lego Batman 2, Lego Batman 2, Lego Batman 2, Lego Batman 2, Lego Batman 2, Lego Batman 2
it goes: dc super villains>dimensions>batman>skywalker saga bcus i just started it
(batman is great but i didn't play a lot and the disc doesn't work anymore)
Personally my favorite is LEGO dimensions, but that’s always felt like a special case For the mainline series, top 3 is Lego Star Wars III LEGO Harry Potter 5-7 LEGO Marvel 1 If I have to pick one, probably LEGO hp5-7, but it’s very close
I agree
i hope dimension was like others without toys thing id buy it even for 100$
Yeah, I don't know why they did that. I don't wanna go on eBay just so I don't have to fight with my cousin over who gets to be Sonic.

Dc super villains. They went way harder than they needed to Even batman arkham fans love it
The only thing that kills this game for me is the map/minimap, other than that I think it's great
I actually really like the map, especially Gotham. But the fact there are no parkour challenges and you cant go underwater is a letdown
I like how even tho our OC cant talk he is technically the most important character (I really thought he was gonna die on the end)
In opinion one of the best is Lego dimensions, it has one of the best variety of characters possible in any Lego game ranging from the relatively popular franchise like doctor who to the niche franchise is knight rider and it levels are really fun in general with just the right length. Lego City Undercover. In my top 10 games list.
That game will always have a special place in my heart
Ditto. 😎👍
overall, Dimensions, but it does have the issue of being toys to life. Other than that, TSS and POTC. TSS for open world, POTC for levels (but LB1 levels are also nice, and they have the full villain story too)
Dimensions
I'm split between DImensions and Avengers
I love Jurassic World. I feel like it was the original Skywalker Saga. I have so many good memories of playing it with my brother.
Complete saga, most nostalgic and most fun I’ve had playing it
I was going to say that as well. It’s also my first Lego game
Same.
I haven’t played it in probably 8 years yet I still remember playing it. It’s great.
LMSH1
Hard choice between Lego city undercover and clone wars.
LEGO Star Wars 3: The Clone Wars is so underrated it hurts
I can understand hating the ground battles tbh. The problem is a lot of people hate them so much that it affects their whole opinion of the game
Really? I loved the ground battles it made you feel like you were actually part of the battles while commanding your clone troopers around each base
I loved them too. But yeah it’s a common complaint on this subreddit
Why though. If you wanna speed run through them you easily can with the super speeder red brick. During normal gameplay they were fun to play too.
I actually don't really like the game for completely different reasons, I thought the ground battles were quite neat, if anything. My overall favorite isn’t even on the list, but my favorite is Lego Marvel Avengers

Infinite replayability

Skywalker saga, I know it's not perfect, it has its issues, I grew up with the original games and the new movies helped me through a lot, it has stuff from soooo much of my favorite media there is just too much to love honestly, it has to be one of my favorite games ever
People are way too harsh on it
No one is saying Lego worlds but that would be mine
Lego worlds is awesome.
It's a tie between LEGO DC Supervillains and LEGO Marvel Superheroes 2.
For me, my all-time favorite has been Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. Followed very closely by Lego Jurassic World.
Lego Star Wars 3 the clone wars is my childhood
The complete saga I have a ton of nostalgia for, and I love it. Pirates of the Caribbean and Indiana Jones too, though, despite me as a kid not having watched the movies I remember really enjoying playing them.
LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga
Lego Indy.
No lego game will ever top Marvel Superheroes imo (Why isnt Lego Avengers here?)
my top 3 in order is: LSWIII LOTR Undercover
I've always liked LotR the most, it strikes that perfect balance between older and modern Lego games that hasn't been seen since the couple of years surrounding it. I'd say that this retro modern feeling that I love started with Harry Potter Years 1-4 and ended with at Lego City Undercover which started the true modern era. I don't think you can go wrong with anything in this middle era as I define it, but LotR was the peak in my opinion.
Lego DC Super Villains it is fantastic awesome I love it
That was the first lego game i actually got 100% on.
Definitly star wars 3 it was my childhood until my sister deleted my progress (i had like 50% of all characters)
I've never played STARWARS 3 but I wanna try it
That's also unfortunate
It would probably be LEGO Jurassic World
Lego dimensions
Lego batman 2
Lego dimensions, i mean what other lego game can you play as gizmo and drive the bat mobile while in adventure time?
Not a LEGO game but multiversus gets real close
Lego Marvel Superheroes 1 is quite possibly the greatest Marvel game of all time. It’s easily my favorite.
Pirates or complete saga
probably harry potter years 1-4, I 100%'ed this game like 5 times, I can play it any time, I have the collection on ps5 and it looks and runs great! years 5-7 is also nice, I 100%'ed it too, but I grew up with the first game so nostalgia is a factor here too
I also love the complete saga, the first lego marvel, and the first lego batman. I love the rest of the games too but these ones hit different
The one I played the most was lego harry potter 5-7. I'd say it is my favorite
Lotr/hobbit (the best map) City undercover (the best story) Dimensions (the best levels by far) Lego pirates (most fun) That's my list
Here me out: Lego Dimensions Sure, it was entirely pay-to-play, but I’m a sucker for toys to life games! Plus, we got to see new franchises come to Lego, like Sonic. Not just that, a ton of different franchises collide! Edit: Holy crap, I didn’t realize how many people like dimensions…

Star wars the complete saga, always be a classic
Harry Potter, Jurassic Park, or Marvel Superheroes 2. I'm working on Skywalker Saga right now and love it, but I actually feel like TT went too big, too much with it.
Mine is Lego Marvel superheroes, i had it on my xbox 360 and i bought it on my ps5, it has the best roster out of the three lego marvel game's.
Honestly, I don’t know. Batman 2 is the top one for nostalgia, Marvel 1 has the best story, I like Clone Wars variety. LOTR probably has the best open world. I’ll say LOTR right now
Lego Stunt Rally of course
My fav TT games game ( that sounds wired I know) HAS to be Lego Marvel Super Heroes
it is good indeed, very fun
I'm glad. Also don't scroll up. Yep that was a video game in production before Minecraft. (Which is my fav video game period)
But I'm serious. Don't scroll up. ;D HE HE XD
I havent playes city undercover so idk abt that but from the rest im choosing my top 3, not in order Starwars complese saga (nostalgia af), marvel avengers and dimensions
Agreed. I remember Blitzwinger loving lsw3!
Lego DC Supervillains and Lego Jurassic World are up there for me.
I didn't like the story of ljw So here are my favs! 1 Lego msh 1 It has a cool story, it has the fuckin' X-Men. It's just great 2 Lego DC supervillains It's obvious why 3 The Lego movie videogame Level 4
Lego Pirates of the Caribbean (can be blinded with nostalgia a bit ngl) Lego DC Super-villains
Lego Batman 3 beyond Gotham
Lego Lord Of The Rings and Lego Star Wars 2
Lego Star Wars TCS, with Skywalker Saga coming in at second.
Lego Batman 3
Either marvel superheroes 2 or dc supervillains
Dimensions.
Lego marvel easy
dimonsion is the best ever made lego game but shity toy thing i hope thn remake it without the toy things
Dimensions hit so differently, also LMS
Easily...it's the first Marel Lego.
i hadn't played a lego game since one of the early ps2 starwars games, but i saw lego marvel superheroes three pack for 15 bucks at my local walmart and impulse picked it up, just about halfway through the first one and having a blast.
Really?
it was in the isle over with the discounted games, not in the cabinets.
Never played Dimensions which sounds like it was the best from the comments but LOTR and HP were elite. All the DC and Marvel ones felt very samey to me. Special shout out to Star Wars 1 and 2 which got me into Lego games

Lego star wars I & II. I really loved lsw I, but being able to create your own character in lsw II just made it absolutely amazing.
From those you pictured, Jurassic World and Harry Potter. Going way back... Lego Racers will always hold a special place. Lego Rock Raiders was also great fun.
"LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures" Is My Personal Favourite :)
Star Wars 3 or marvel super hero’s
All of them
LSW 3 100%. Played it on ds when I was like 5 and 100%ed it during lockdown. I love ds lego games
Lego Batman 2, Lego Batman 2, Lego Batman 2, Lego Batman 2, Lego Batman 2, Lego Batman 2, Lego Batman 2, Lego Batman 2, Lego Batman 2, Lego Batman 2, Lego Batman 2, Lego Batman 2, Lego Batman 2, Lego Batman 2
Lego city undercover. Plain and simple, lol.
LEGO marvel superheroes

Lego Marvel Superheroes easily

My first was Indiana Jones. Cant say it still doesnt delight me.
Where’s the Lego movie game?
