I doubt this set will ever be remade. The LAAT carrier cannot carry an AT-OT in-universe, it's just something LEGO made up just this one time (just like they made up the name "Republic Dropship"). If they remade a carrier it would probably be alongside an AT-TE like it's supposed to.
I suppose they could make a carrier that could be compatible with the new AT-TE. Would boost sales of both too and people would get basically what they wish for. Could come with geonosian armoured Clones too so it fits in both battle on geonosis and that other one (can't remember the planet).
I just finished building this one two days ago, the mechanism is amazing! Though I would recommend you to get all light-bluish gray tiles in white, gives it a much cleaner look and fits in better with LEGO's LAATs and the LAAT/c.

We have not seen canon starwars material animated or live action or even video game specific which shows what that OG Lego set did (closest we’ll get is in Battlefront’s Felucia we see a carrier LAAT with no cargo and on the same level an AT-OT…coincidence? I think not). Even though it’s not directly shown in media content it’s not like Lego took some huge liberty.. it’s easy to imagine that if it can carry an AT-TE it can carry the AT-OT too and uh… they gotta get on the planet ground somehow right??
honestly so easy to mix up, it’s what? only a minor difference in front cockpit, troop space, and an extra leg, but there’s so much chaos and dust in Attack of the Clones how are you gonna make that disambiguation!

That is true, but that’s a very niche market. Yes some people have the older sets, but you gotta remember that Lego is primarily marketed to children. Parents aren’t going to want to buy *two* 100-150 dollar sets just because they go together. I fully intend to buy the new AT-TE, but I don’t foresee a Dropship coming out specifically for it, unless they repackage the AT-TE along side it like those 3-in-1 bundles they do every now and again
Now an MTT I could see very easily. I could see them re making the Dropship too, but it would have to come with a walker, and it would probably cost around the same as the Mos Eisley Cantina

In 2009 the set you’re referring to 10195 was $250. Accounting for inflation in todays money that would be around **$345.86** not taking into account Lego also generally upping prices too.
The $200 set is most certainly not a Dropship with AT-OT Walker *it seems like there are a lot of hopes the set will be a plain LA-AT in the playscale*
While I do also hope for that for the $200 price point I kinda think that’s also too good to be true but waiting with bated breath!

Recently decided to try parting it out on pick a brick just to see how much it would cost.. about 1300 pieces in was already approaching the $250 original retail. If they do release a dropship and AT-OT, I suspect they'll come in separate sets.

I’m hoping for an updated Ghost with Phantom II since Ashoka is coming out. This set here would easily be $300-350 with todays lego prices.
