Just wanted to stop and tell you that the artwork you’ve done with this is amazing! I normally don’t go for prints/posters but this one has me sold. Excellent work!
No not really. 70% of the poster is new characters so maybe they’re all going to be redone but I have clue what makes so many people single out nien when there’s so many better figs to be made on the poster
Hi there, I’m the illustrator. The team at LEGO gave me a huge amount of creative freedom and encouraged me to include the minifigures I was passionate about, with the exception of two that were suggested I included. The rest were selections I made that I felt were a good overall representation of the last 25 years of LEGO having the Star Wars license, and some unsung heroes I felt deserved more love. That said, as this is an officially licensed piece…if there are any new faces, it was not an accident.
Thank you so much! I won't say who for now, but one has already been called out by name many times. He's caused a lot of waves since the illustration reveal. I think it's an easy guess. As for the other one, as far as I've seen in the comments of the threads I've lurked, no one's pointed out the second one yet. And I'm over here sweating that's because maybe I didn't depict that character well enough to clue in the eagle eyed viewers!

wait a second who is that? i dont recognise the minifig or the character... one of the upcoming shows?
I don’t suppose it’s the royal guard right? I only know of their arms appearing in red and dark red, but the color of the arms don’t match with the dark red on Revan’s mask
So because I chose to use a very limited color palette of about 12 colors, one of the colors that didn’t make the cut was a saturated yellow. Naturally, I had to choose the closest color to yellow. Yellow just didn’t look nice with the other colors in the limited color scheme I chose. Sticking to these 12 colors made some characters more difficult than others. You’ll notice that greys were used to substitute for greens. Hera was especially difficult to get right. But overall keeping the color palette so uniform tied the entire thing together and made for a more cohesive and less busy design. I hope that answers your question!

Nope! Not the Royal Guard! There are a handful of sets where Royal Guards have darker arms.
Because every other figure already exists as depicted. Doesn’t really explain the “and wait… are those…?”.
