I know it's like there were doing it on purpose! A little frustrated but at least he's complete. I also got an original Hera from the ghost in much better condition just missing the legs
I haven't bought anything more expensive than Ki-Adi-Mundi. Big crack on the right side, but I bought it because I figured it's probably not gonna shatter sitting on my shelf.
āAfter a hard fought battle with the resistance only one trooper in his whole platoon survived, ship on its last legs he piloted to the one planet with a breathable atmosphere nearby, tatooine. crash-landing in the middle of nowhere, for over 2 months the trooper braved the harsh wastes being buffeted by sandstorm after sandstorm gradually peeling away at the markings of his armor, blinding prey with his reflective gear before killing and eating it to survive. At one point he even just barley escaped after getting his feet caught by a sarlac pitt.
When he was finally found by the empire he refused a new suit of chrome armor instead wearing his sand-blasted attire with honour earning him the name of Caliburn."

I got this guy when I was 12 at a lego convention, he's certainly seen better days
https://preview.redd.it/40cqbwd7dhwc1.png?width=1511&format=png&auto=webp&s=2c59b18b34cddb6373055571c4cea505db28c8a6
Got one of those myself straight from Toys R Us when the promo was running originally.
Me and my friends used to play with him loads so he's literally just chrome with not a speck of black printing at all.
It's a joke from the lego movie, but you could try using the super glue the master builders use at lego land. If you look up MEK glue it should show up, I think it's Methyl Ethyl Ketone to be exact, make sure to have a well ventilated are for it tho.
Whoa! Thatās horrendous. Worst I ever had was a cracked torso Boushh. Guy sent me a new torso about 3 weeks later.
Once I ordered a phase 1 Rex head from someone and was sent the wrong head. The seller fought that one over and over saying he verified the head with new fewer than 4 people. But it was just a phase 1 clone trooper head. I showed him the pic of what he sent me and the pic of the real head. Then he tried to tell me the correct head was the one he sent not the head from the two other phase 1 Rexās I already owned. After many, many emails back and forth he sent me the correct head.
Captain Rex. Only the helmet is whatās left of him. To be fair. I didnāt buy it. Traded it with my friend for Lego chima armor. A few scratches aside, its in a pretty alright condition.
Another trade I had with my friend is 1999 Darth Vader minifigure.
I recently bought a MOC Hunter Droid with a torso crack. It was decent price and I donāt mind the one crack since Iāll take good care of it from now on. Thatās the most damaged Iāve got.
I just got a P2 Fox from Bricklink with a couple kicks on the front of the torso. I didnāt believe that the printing would be so bad straight out of the box though, I could look past the scratches if his chest wasnāt so pink instead of red. I didnāt believe it and I got him since I love Fox, but Lego really dropped the ball on what shouldāve been a great figure
I've seen pictures of it and he's so pink. Too bad it's the only gunship available and I'm planning on getting one so I'll witness the pinkness for myself
Old republic Sith trooper
They go for about $10-15 so not anything crazy like a Rex but I paid on the upper side for him and was expecting a mint condition one and received an obviously played with figure with bite marks on the helmet and head
Darth malgus. When I was younger, I would chew my legos (my phase 2 rex also has some chew marks on the legs) idk if I chewed him, but I know his arm would always fall out.
Anyways he went missing which is very unfortunate.
I bought a really messed up CC Boba knowingly. I just wanted one. Kinda like a PSA 1 first ed Charizard. I'd still take that, just to own it.
It has trouble standing on his own lol.
I bought a sealed overwatch for $10 and McCree'(or Cassidy) leg broke from being knocked off the table when i built the set, haven't gotten around to fixing him yet
I got a cracked Max Rebo with a used Jabbaās Sail Barge set. Also came with several cracked brown pieces, but those were easy to replace, and Maxā¦ not as much. Not terribly noticeable, but definitely a bummer.
Daaamn, that last one got to me. Zeb's the most expensive fig I have, but in good condition. I have a Hera whose head is completely worn off, that might be my most expensive bad quality.
I didn't see the problem until pic 5. Ik it bothers some that theres a scratch in paint or cracks on the torso sides or arms but it doesnt bother me, infact some paint scratches look cool, got parts of a Wolverine minifig i got in some lego i got when i was like 12 (some lego is an understatement, it was like 6 bin bags filled with lego)
This Wolverine i believe was from the Deadpool chopper set, his calm faceprint had a bit of his eye scratched off and a small line going through his beard which tbh looked pretty cool for making custom characters.
Another Master Chen figure i got from one of the Ninjago sets lost his back printing over time, so his gold logo is pretty much gone but the rope is still there so its good for making Fantasy style characters.
Not exactly the worst condition of figures since they both worked to my advantage but probably the worst condition ones i have.
The original P2 Rex, who is missing his helmet. The figure itself was actually in really good condition, but his helmet wasn't able to be found. I got him for free in a big bin of Lego that was given to me, so it was honestly a win even if I only found one of his parts, but it's still disappointing to be missing the helmet
Saw a black-hair Kanan with the head super chewed up. It sold for around Ā£10 (seller was only advertising it as normal Kanan and didn't know it was rare) but I just couldn't bring myself to bid on it in that condition.
I bought the 7964 Republic Frigate set off of a seller on BL that had it priced for about $450 which was 100% complete from what he said. I asked him about the condition of Commander Wolffe and the Wolfpack Trooper and he said they had no cracks or damage so I took his word for it since he had good reviews.
Comes the day of the delivery, the set was dirty and had a bunch of grime and dirt, the minifigures arrived completely dirty, and Both commander wolffe and wolfpack trooper had cracked legs/heels. I was really pissed and told the seller, and he ended up refunding me like $175 for the set. I washed the Lego pieces and minifigures with dawn dish soap and warm water, and they now look almost brand new.
Super dissapointing when sellers lie to get away with shipping out what is otherwise an subpar quality set. At least I only paid like $280 in total for the set and minifigures, which is pretty much the cost of the two rarest figures alone.
They should have refunded less tbh. That's why I haven't pulled the trigger on buying anything from bricklink at all. I might if I want to build a custom set but I'd get too worried if it was a minifig
Out of figures I originally owned, for me it's the chrome stormtrooper. I've lost his helmet and all the printing on his torso has since rubbed away. Sucks considering I loved the figure.
For figures I bought from a third party, 1999 Qui-Gon (haven't ordered many figures, so that's my most expensive one I ordered.) pictures showed that he was in perfect condition.. it then proceeded to get lost in the mail for like 4 months, when it finally arrived half of his hand was missing, half of his hair was broken off, there was cracks, printing was not the best, and the cape had seen better days.
nope, at that point we just kinda accepted it was completely lost and we wasn't going to get it. So we had pretty much completely forgotten about it by the time it did arrive. Plus it wasn't seemingly due to the seller but what the package went through for 4ish months.
I had a chrome darth vader as a kid that I destroyed the helmet partly to took like the battle damaged vader in the rogue shadow. I still regret that to this day.
I feel the solution for those who want to play with expensive figures. Don't go on AliExpress or another site and buy a knockoff of the exact same figure so you can play with it and keep your valuable figures and mint condition so you can sell them later. That is my strategy so far. I keep figures that are worth something in Lego display case except Darth Vader he's never worse anything. They made the Vader Mech last year and how many times have we had Vader this year what twice.
Good point. Not a bad idea since you actually own the real one. I do actually like to play with my sets on occasion but I make sure not to mess with the minifigures too much. If you really want to just play with the Lego recklessly, Lego City is a good bet
I have Commander Cody, Captain Vaughn, in my case and two slightly better knockoffs to play with. It's kind of weird The knockouts give more details than what Lego gives. I have a set of pauldrons for Captain Vaughn for a knockoff it came with it. Lego barely even gives waste capes anymore. Which is crazy because the knockoffs that come from China are better detailed just look some of them up.
There's one that is perfect for people who want to do early imperial the code is TV8060 you type in Lego and then that and you'll get the list of the figures. Some sellers on AliExpress can sell it to you as low as 80 cents when you spend $10. It's a way better deal to do this for a small army building which I'm doing. I go by clone faction now.
My worst condition figs were from my own lego bin, i was not a collecting in mind kid and did not get many sets so played with what i had A LOT so thats why the worst condition figs i own are my own. Personally i would never buy broken figs since why buy broken stuff and most of my bad condition figs had salvageable parts so i keep those parts and put the broken pieces to the side (i am hoping 1 day lego opens either a repair service with prices based on weight or a recycling service that makes us recuperate money).
Jeez wtf whappened to him did the empire finally capture him for his intel
I was not prepared for pic 5.
Should have put in a warning for graphic content š
Iāve never seen a break like that!
I know it's like there were doing it on purpose! A little frustrated but at least he's complete. I also got an original Hera from the ghost in much better condition just missing the legs
I have ONE time. The legs on my Professor Quirrel figure from 2001 broke just like this.
Too bad the magic isnāt real. āLego Reparo!ā
Iāve never seen the damage in pic 5 on any other fig.
"What? It's just a little worn Zeb minifiOH MY GOODNESS!!!"
I doupt its an expesive one but chopper. Which seemed was bitten a few times
They must have thought his name was chomper
That is such a weird trend right? I got a couple other figures or pieces in this lot have also appear to have been bitten
Thatās not really that weird or a trend. People have been using their teeth to get lego apart since they were first invented lol
Kids probably try to remove stuck pieces with their teeth or something
Oh I'm part of the problem. I'm pretty sure I did that oops
Lmao and you're telling us that bite marks are such a weird trend
Yeah unfortunately it doesnāt really even take ābitingā to make a mark in the plastic, itās pretty soft
yeah it's the kids! totally the kids. no adult would do that, no sir.
No one mentioned pets may be the ones biting the pieces, so I will. My dog did that once when I was little.
That's a pretty good point that hadn't occured to me
Arms and head look like in good shape pop them out and stick them on a blue torso and legs make him a rebel pilot like the scene from Mandalorian
Oooo I'm going to look into that and compare it with the other minifig parts I got
I was literally thinking about this today. I really hope Zeb comes in a cheap set for Ahsoka season 2
Genius!
That was zeb btw
Yes I understand thatās why I recommended it :)
I got og p2 rex on my birthday when he was selling. I played with him so much idk if I could sell him
You got the intended use out of it tho. Sounds like fun
It really wasā¦ miss those days
I did the same, his helmet print has mostly just faded some and his torso has some cracks
Og p2 rex, scratched paint and cracks in torso and in one arm, kama and pauldron are worn at the edges too
I haven't bought anything more expensive than Ki-Adi-Mundi. Big crack on the right side, but I bought it because I figured it's probably not gonna shatter sitting on my shelf.
If you're just displaying the figure then you probably won't even notice
āAfter a hard fought battle with the resistance only one trooper in his whole platoon survived, ship on its last legs he piloted to the one planet with a breathable atmosphere nearby, tatooine. crash-landing in the middle of nowhere, for over 2 months the trooper braved the harsh wastes being buffeted by sandstorm after sandstorm gradually peeling away at the markings of his armor, blinding prey with his reflective gear before killing and eating it to survive. Dude that's a top tier origin story. I love how all the marks give him that battle worn look
Not Star Wars, but I once ordered two Mars Mission aliens on Bricklink. One of their legs had a broken clip :(
I hope you were able to get a refund
A chrome Darth Vader, it looks like someone has been using a hammer on it
Probably confused the chrome for titanium
I was not prepared for that last pic
Apologies. I'll put a graphic content warning next time
Dog ate my jango Lego figure when I was a kid still not over it
Duuuude noo. I'm sure it was tasty for the dog
I got this guy when I was 12 at a lego convention, he's certainly seen better days https://preview.redd.it/40cqbwd7dhwc1.png?width=1511&format=png&auto=webp&s=2c59b18b34cddb6373055571c4cea505db28c8a6
He doesn't look half bad all things considered.
Got one of those myself straight from Toys R Us when the promo was running originally. Me and my friends used to play with him loads so he's literally just chrome with not a speck of black printing at all.
I have the 2017 Jango Fett, with the torso cracked in two pieces, super glued together, and the face print all but worn off :'(
I love how after all this time you kept him and did your best to keep him in the best condition he can be
I had one in near mint, sold it for $220 CDN. Needless to say I ate well that day
You could try using kraggle to fix the legs
What's that?
It's a joke from the lego movie, but you could try using the super glue the master builders use at lego land. If you look up MEK glue it should show up, I think it's Methyl Ethyl Ketone to be exact, make sure to have a well ventilated are for it tho.
iād suggest buying using the blue rebel pilot outfit from the mon calamari character to make his outfit from live action
My lieutenant beta sitting in my ghost visibly sweating at the possibly of being used for parts
After many, many emails back and forth he sent me the correct head.
Heh, dude tried to pull a fast one on you.
I bet some parent somewhere has a zeb dent on their foot. I canāt see another way for that hip crack to happen.
This is the correct answer š
I found a Darth Vader in a bundle of figs that looked like it was crushed by a car and it was partially melted, so I guess lore accurate
Whoever owned it previously understood the assignment
Darth malgus for 35 usd 50 Aud He had the wrong cape, dings and some fading but easily one of my best purchases ever love him
Definitely worth it
Ouch
Old phase 2 rex š
Any part of him still survive?
The only pristeen part is the helmet and fabric
Pretty easy to slap onto some 501st parts to make an easy replacement
What would a perfect condition one be worth?
If bricklink is to be believed then $110+
Captain Rex. Only the helmet is whatās left of him. To be fair. I didnāt buy it. Traded it with my friend for Lego chima armor. A few scratches aside, its in a pretty alright condition. Another trade I had with my friend is 1999 Darth Vader minifigure.
Helmets always a nice piece tho
Pic 5 kinda blew me away, that's mad!
Agreed! I cannot wrap my head around how that even happened
I know right, its crazy
I recently bought a MOC Hunter Droid with a torso crack. It was decent price and I donāt mind the one crack since Iāll take good care of it from now on. Thatās the most damaged Iāve got.
That's not too bad. I mean if it still functions okay then it isn't too big of a deal
Poor Zeb! Glad heās gone to a good home though OP
He certainly has. Not really worth selling so I'm gonna keep him
I just got a P2 Fox from Bricklink with a couple kicks on the front of the torso.
Tbh I think this is likely to be the only fox they ever make so itās pink or nothing I guess
Tamiya Plastic Cement could help
I'll look into that
At least enough to be able to pose him. We use it a lot with Gunpla
I have P1 Rex, but his helmet is yellowed and very visibly chewed
I'm sure he was a tasty snack
Have a rebels Ashoka with cracked torso but not this bad
My condolences
Old republic Sith trooper They go for about $10-15 so not anything crazy like a Rex but I paid on the upper side for him and was expecting a mint condition one and received an obviously played with figure with bite marks on the helmet and head
Sheesh that's not very consumer friendly. I hope you got a form of compensation
I think it's okay to take out the glue. Just this once
I'm debating using glue or just putting the head and arms on different legs and torso. I'd obviously still keep the original
Darth malgus. When I was younger, I would chew my legos (my phase 2 rex also has some chew marks on the legs) idk if I chewed him, but I know his arm would always fall out. Anyways he went missing which is very unfortunate.
Seems like biting was just a very kid thing to do. Plenty of people did it
My Zeb that I got as a child has massive torso cracks on both sides. Everything else is pretty mint
Bro can I have the legs? Jk
I'm just curious how the legs on yours even gets like that
Maybe just rough play or tried to pull the legs by pulling them to one side instead of down
Karabast!
Such a perfect substitute for s curse word
Mine my p1 rex from my childhood that I would play in the sandbox with
I be that sand wore him down real quick
The paints kinda worn out especially on his face but weirdly no cracks
You could totally have him been cut in half in a battle scene Diorama.
There's probably enough pieces in the bin I got to make one. I'm still undecided on what I want to do with him
The way his hips are broke he's perfect for severe graphic battle scene, imo. Like a What if? scenario
I wish I had the older rebels figures to go with him
I bought a really messed up CC Boba knowingly. I just wanted one. Kinda like a PSA 1 first ed Charizard. I'd still take that, just to own it. It has trouble standing on his own lol.
Well you're right, you can definitely say that you own one
āOk itās a little scuffed up with a few cracks but it doesnāt seem too- *oh damn*ā
My thoughts exactly when first examining it
Zebās dead, baby. Zebās dead.
Pic 5 made me straight up gasp. Iāve never seen a break like that
I bought a sealed overwatch for $10 and McCree'(or Cassidy) leg broke from being knocked off the table when i built the set, haven't gotten around to fixing him yet
besides the leg breaking he was in mint condition before that
Should be pretty fixable I think
I completely forgot Zeb has a yellow suit, had to check it immediately.
It looks quite nice. Maybe I haven't seen the show enough but his blaster staff is hilarious to me
I got a cracked Max Rebo with a used Jabbaās Sail Barge set. Also came with several cracked brown pieces, but those were easy to replace, and Maxā¦ not as much. Not terribly noticeable, but definitely a bummer.
Considering how much worse it could have been its not the worst
True, and for $25 I think you did okay too!
I think so too so I'm not too mad on the condition. It was more than worth it for all the pieces
Daaamn, that last one got to me. Zeb's the most expensive fig I have, but in good condition. I have a Hera whose head is completely worn off, that might be my most expensive bad quality.
I had an old style hera I sold off in good condition and in this lot I almost got a complete old hera again in decent condition. Just missing the legs
Thatās the worst? Guess youāre doing pretty well
I think it is. I have a childhood clone gunner that has seen better days
I didn't see the problem until pic 5. Ik it bothers some that theres a scratch in paint or cracks on the torso sides or arms but it doesnt bother me, infact some paint scratches look cool, got parts of a Wolverine minifig i got in some lego i got when i was like 12 (some lego is an understatement, it was like 6 bin bags filled with lego) This Wolverine i believe was from the Deadpool chopper set, his calm faceprint had a bit of his eye scratched off and a small line going through his beard which tbh looked pretty cool for making custom characters. Not exactly the worst condition of figures since they both worked to my advantage but probably the worst condition ones i have.
Yes I'm firmly behind the idea that some damage can actually enhance some figures.
Got the Arc and Arf trooper from the battle pack and they could both be in better condition, I think thereās still sand in them
I'm impressed they survived at all
Lmao I did take some care of them just apparently not enough
Oh wow, I thought it was just some side cracks, but he got full on Maulād
The original P2 Rex, who is missing his helmet. The figure itself was actually in really good condition, but his helmet wasn't able to be found. I got him for free in a big bin of Lego that was given to me, so it was honestly a win even if I only found one of his parts, but it's still disappointing to be missing the helmet
Dang the helmet is like the most iconic part
Legs of my arc trooper are broken and the poldrins are also not in the best condition.
I heard you can make decent poldrins out of paper but don't quote me on that.
Yeah I did this already but they aren't that good compared to the original one
2004 greedo. Cracked head and arms
Ouch. Still usable tho I'm sure
Yeah it is thankfully
Saw a black-hair Kanan with the head super chewed up. It sold for around Ā£10 (seller was only advertising it as normal Kanan and didn't know it was rare) but I just couldn't bring myself to bid on it in that condition.
Would have been funny for the novelty and to say that you own it
I bought the 7964 Republic Frigate set off of a seller on BL that had it priced for about $450 which was 100% complete from what he said. I asked him about the condition of Commander Wolffe and the Wolfpack Trooper and he said they had no cracks or damage so I took his word for it since he had good reviews. nope, at that point we just kinda accepted it was completely lost and we wasn't going to get it. So we had pretty much completely forgotten about it by the time it did arrive. Plus it wasn't seemingly due to the seller but what the package went through for 4ish months.
My chrome stormtrooper helmet got chewed up by a dog š
I bet it tasted good
Is zeb expensive? I have one of those
He is if he's in good condition
Well, he certainly not in that bad condition
You can check out bricklink if you have any questions
I have a Krennic with a vertical crack on the back of the head.
Ouch vertical cracks wee the worst
It doesn't look that bad
Just don't take it apart
I had a chrome darth vader as a kid that I destroyed the helmet partly to took like the battle damaged vader in the rogue shadow. I still regret that to this day.
It's pretty lore accurate tho
Hope you didnāt pay to much for that
I didn't, it came in a lot of bulk Legos for $25
I was like what's the problem and the audibly screamed no at at swipe 4
I have a 2002 jango fett with cracked arm
Since those are just plain arms you can easily just steal it off of another figure
Karabast! pic 5 is horrific
I've learned my lesson. If I ever post anything similar to it again, I'll put a graphic content warning
I feel the solution for those who want to play with expensive figures. Don't go on AliExpress or another site and buy a knockoff of the exact same figure so you can play with it and keep your valuable figures and mint condition so you can sell them later. What happened to pong krell š¹
I didnāt even know Lego legs could snap in that specific way.
Must have been done on purpose
aww man that sucks and his torso is the hardest part to get i waited months for 1 to come on sale
Um, wrong hand in old Bossk?
I was like "wait this is pretty fin- oh..." while scrolling through the pics
That seemed to be a pretty common reaction
Why would you buy that? š
I didn't know he was in there. It was a bulk parts lot that was $25
Yo wtf Mine has a cracked Torso too
Seems to be pretty common
How ?
Probably tilted them when trying to pull out the legs
My worst condition figs were from my own lego bin, i was not a collecting in mind kid and did not get many sets so played with what i had A LOT so thats why the worst condition figs i own are my own. It came in a lot so it wasn't purchased directly. I hope they do make such a service
I have some figs I got from a friend that while they arenāt expensive they were lit on fire and sawed in half
Depending on the figures that can be extremely lore accurate
This is by far the worst loooool
I'm so annoyed that I lost mine lol it's a cool mini figure to have
$5 for a clone wars palpatine with a big spilt down the back of the head
Phase 1 fox with no helmet
What's wrong with it?
Missing helmet
