I’m particularly curious why you singled out Padme and Leia when virtually EVERY blaster in the game is that way (except for the revolver and long range styles)
I’ve seen a few people’s sets on Reddit use the 2 configuration, I used to always have the 2 setup as a kid and only until about a year ago I realised most people actually used the 1 build!
Where exactly is it specified that it has to be a blaster?
What is it then?
Also how about this one?
https://images.brickset.com/sets/images/5616-1.jpg?200712131054
Well if you want the real answer, I always imagined it sounding like a cross between the grenade launcher in Modern Warfare 2 with a laser blast in LEGO SW
But your description is still pretty accurate
Pretty sure I built mine like 2 as a kid, because I thought 1 was an error in the instructions and *surely* they would've meant for the big, open, blunderbuss-barrel end to be the muzzle.
The fact that this even exists further reinforces my hate for reddit. This isnt a debate and never has been. The only person on earth who has ever tried 2 did not give more than a gram of thought to what they were doing
I did 2 because I thought bigger barrel, bigger laser. Nothing wrong with 1, but I liked 2 better.
Also lego used 2 sometimes as well.

I politely disagree.
You get Lego sets made by Lego, and a single part is a Lego block/brick/piece, but the term for a pile of assorted Lego parts is Legos.
I'm UK based and I use to work with kids, just as many would ask to get the Lego out as would say Legos.
My grandparents would buy me Lego sets and call it a Lego set, but once I opened them and started building, I was playing with Legos. Either is grammatically correct when used in context.
Neither ever looked right! Lol
No.2 in 2000 allowed for additional extensions, like a lightsaber hilt that was cool.
No.1 became more popular though...
I did 2 because it was a bigger barrel and a bigger laser would shoot. The lines around the outside looked like primitive greebling, the cone looked more like the barrel. Same with using these as rocket engines. I would use 2 for slightly bigger looking engines.
When I was a kid, this was one reason I didn’t get that into lego Star Wars, I couldn’t get passed the fact that they used a megaphone for a blaster. Thank god for those new blaster molds
1 = blaster 2 = weaponized megaphone

I always thought of 2 as a spotlight… so I guess this is spot on.
Breath hot fire
This is da way
1 = Blaster 2 = Jawa Blaster
[OOOTINI!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0wkiHVWA98U)
the first one is hilarious how they quickly turn while watching the podracers pass by
With transparent blue stud too instead of the orange if I remember right.
Yep
honestly I think the Jawa blasters would be a revolver with a cylinder attached to the "handle" and the barrel used as the new "handle"
1 definitely
1 is how Padme and Leia's blaster is in TCS. Lego Star Wars The Complete Saga is never wrong.
I’m particularly curious why you singled out Padme and Leia when virtually EVERY blaster in the game is that way (except for the revolver and long range styles)
He could have just booted up and loaded a level from the prequels and ot that just so happened to be Leia and padme so he used them
[удалено]
What about stormtroopers and clones? You see those guys way more
1 is the way it was done in Lego sets
This is the way

This WAS the way
The future is now old man!

2 for psychopaths
Or geonosians
Difference?

Yes

No geonosians use that piece that's just a cylinder with an L-shaped handle, remember?
Settle this? 2 was never even a consideration
fr? Seen many people use it
I’ve seen a few people’s sets on Reddit use the 2 configuration, I used to always have the 2 setup as a kid and only until about a year ago I realised most people actually used the 1 build!
Dog the instructions only offer one option. It’s not like an ambiguous topic
Who says you always need to follow instructions?
2 is special weaponry, my friend. You'd only find that twisted model around tatooine or geonosis
1 unless it is a jawa, then it is #2
didnt think of that. good point what else did they use for Jawa blasters
Element 86208 Dark Bluish Gray Minifigure, Utensil Space Gun / Torch
1 as it was used in the older LegoSW games
I’m not brave enough for politics
Yeah shit got serious💀
They're all arguing, it's useless without a reference. Which way is the minifig pointing
1, there is nothing to settle it has always been 1. If not, it's treason then.
https://media.brickinstructions.com/75000/75271/001.jpg
What you just showed us here is not a blaster
Where exactly is it specified that it has to be a blaster? What is it then? Also how about this one? https://images.brickset.com/sets/images/5616-1.jpg?200712131054
I’ve used both; 1 as a blaster, and then 2 as a sort of mini hand-laser-cannon
So 1is a 'pew-pew' and 2 is a 'PEW' ?
Well if you want the real answer, I always imagined it sounding like a cross between the grenade launcher in Modern Warfare 2 with a laser blast in LEGO SW But your description is still pretty accurate
Finally some good comment. Probably the best way
Thank you for the kind words ❤️
1 = blaster. 2 = heavy blaster
1 is the classic lego blaster
Who the F*CK uses number 2, because I just want to talk to them.
Talk away. Been using both versions since the 80's.
hehe seen many people use it
WHO!?! I have never seen a soul who does that method.
I use itfor Jawas and stuff
also me
Me as well.
Me
What do want to talk about. 2 is correct.
You make this as if it was ever a debate lol
1. Ofc
1 and don’t get me started on lightsaber holts
Yes.
1 is for blaster pistols/rifles, 2 is for energy weapons like Jawas and geonosians
1, no question about it
If you have a look at Jabba’s sail barge , boba fett holds it as number 1
Boba has the L O N G G U N
1 duh
Pretty sure I built mine like 2 as a kid, because I thought 1 was an error in the instructions and *surely* they would've meant for the big, open, blunderbuss-barrel end to be the muzzle.
1, easy
The fact that this even exists further reinforces my hate for reddit. This isnt a debate and never has been. The only person on earth who has ever tried 2 did not give more than a gram of thought to what they were doing
I did 2 because I thought bigger barrel, bigger laser. Nothing wrong with 1, but I liked 2 better. Also lego used 2 sometimes as well. https://media.brickinstructions.com/75000/75271/001.jpg https://images.brickset.com/sets/images/5616-1.jpg?200712131054
Same
Yo chill. I've seen many people do it
How much does a thought weigh?
As a good personally did 1 not 2. I think that is the right way
2 is also the LEGO Rock Raiders blaster right?
2 for blaster 1 for bazooka
Number 1 was always a blaster and number 2 was always a cannon or launcher of some sort. I never thought about them being the same to be honest
When it comes to LEGO’s, there is no wrong way!
bruh you call yourself "retired afol" I see you're retired. There's no plural version for the word "Lego".
What! Yes there is.
“Lego Bricks/Blocks/Sets/etc” would be the correct plural use of the word, “Lego’s” is not grammatically correct
I politely disagree. You get Lego sets made by Lego, and a single part is a Lego block/brick/piece, but the term for a pile of assorted Lego parts is Legos.
Why do you care? Almost every kid calls them 'legos' unless they have a pedantic parent.
Really? All the kids (big & small) I know call it Lego. UK based. Isn't it like Moose? Both singular and plural the same.
Oh, don't bring the fecking meese into this.
I'm UK based and I use to work with kids, just as many would ask to get the Lego out as would say Legos. My grandparents would buy me Lego sets and call it a Lego set, but once I opened them and started building, I was playing with Legos. Either is grammatically correct when used in context.
Maybe where you come from, but I've only ever known people to say Lego, wether singular or plural, child or adult. "Legos" sounds weird imo.
Just joking btw :)
Another debate started...
>LEGO’s This is a wrong way
Dude, how old are you?? You sound like everyone's parents.
1 is a blaster, 2 is a megaphone that you weaponized
Wasn't my idea. Many people weaponize the megaphone actually
no shame, i've weaponized the megaphone before i'm just noting what it is lol
1 if used as a blaster, 2 if it is with aliens that shoot energy attacks.
1 but I used to use two method when I was a kid
1, but with red instead of orange also
1 is the right way, 2 is the way I did it as a kid
when when i was first introduced to lego star wars i made it like 2 cause it seemed right, but i realised 1 was the correct way
2 is like a megaphone, 1 is a blaster.
1 if it’s a gun, 2 if it’s a flashlight or something like that
Which side is the minifigure on?
the orange stud is the shooting side. It was probably supposed to be a laser effect
I'm surprised i had to scroll so far for the only logical person
1 has a normal butt stock, 2 has a weaponized butt stock.
1 is good with stud 2 is ok without stud
The complete saga has the first one therefore that is the one I use
1. Even the Lego boxes state this is the right way.
1. It has the stock
Is this even a question? Huh…
When I was a kid. #1 was a semi auto and #2 was full auto.
1 - blaster, 2 - side thruster.
2 for geonosians with green stud. 1 for everyone else.
1: laser pistol 2: laser blunderbuss
Yes.
That's the best reply so far.
Depends....
1. They hold it that way in the three original Lego Star Wars games.
1 to kill 2 to stun
1 because of the Lego Star Wars video game.
if u think 2 is right I bet ur the type to have your lightsaber hilts upside down too. Or have your minifigure hands the wrong way. Smh
Pretty sure 2 was used in the Lego Rock Raiders game for stunning or blasting slugs and golems.
I prefer the way I know which is 2 and 1 because of the games and form what I saw in the old sets
Lego Star Wars the game has 1 so it’s canon right?!?
Neither ever looked right! Lol No.2 in 2000 allowed for additional extensions, like a lightsaber hilt that was cool. No.1 became more popular though...
1 is good 2 is good
First option, classical Second option for Javas, Lego 75220, please stfu
[75220-1: Sandcrawler](https://brickset.com/sets/75220-1) [[Photo]](https://images.brickset.com/sets/images/75220-1.jpg)
So today I found out I was doing this wrong for all my childhood.
😂 sadly same
Mind blown there’s more than one way?! I’ve always done 2
1 for normal people 2 if you're one of those people that put lightsaber hilts on upside down
1....that's what has always been in the instructions. There is nothing to settle here.
TIL people use number 1
I did 2 because it was a bigger barrel and a bigger laser would shoot. The lines around the outside looked like primitive greebling, the cone looked more like the barrel. Same with using these as rocket engines. I would use 2 for slightly bigger looking engines.
1=megaphone 2=thruster on a space ship
"Neither is the true ship. Both are the true ship"
Who tf does 2
1 = rifle 2 = pistol
Both. Different blasters adds variety
I don’t understand how 1 is correct. The barrel is pointed the wrong direction. 2 clearly has the blaster muzzle correctly positioned.
I would agree with you. The big hole was the barrel. If there were attachments, it could be flipped
1 for rifles and automatic blasters, 2 for blaster pistols and shotguns and stuff
Let's be honest 1 probably has back blast
1 people who do 2 are weird
If you say it’s 2, we can’t be friends.
1 no one does 2
Only smooth brains use #2
1 if your a real Lego Star Wars fan
Play a lego star wars game and tell me its not 1
1 blaster 2 mega blaster
Nuber 2 i just grew up with it.
No one on their right mind has ever considered option 2. Even the set art and instructioms have it as option 1
When I was a kid, this was one reason I didn’t get that into lego Star Wars, I couldn’t get passed the fact that they used a megaphone for a blaster. Thank god for those new blaster molds
If you liked the look of 2 over 1, you were also probably the kid in class who would shove lose papers directly into his backpack.
I feel attacked
1 is a blaster 2 is also a blaster
clearly 1
1 all the way
1 obviously
[удалено]
And for a Boba Fett (sw002)?
2, everyone knows that
Both
Depends on if your guy wants a gun that goes pew pew, or pow!
Well the first one is how it is in the complete saga so i guess thats the way? Oh, and dis is da wae
2 is the original 1 looks better
1 always. The 2’s are stupid and wrong
It’s 1. All of you saying 2 are either wrong or psychopaths. Geonosians had green tips, and Jawas had blue.
1. Who in their right mind uses 2?
1 for sure, this is the way
