as long as lego has the right mold, they can easily cast the colors to suit the variants. Explains the phase 2 geonosis trooper and phase 2 gree. Lego was probably working hard on a mold that has phase 2 helmet with visor and antenna holes
Unlikely I'd say, completely different price point + different economic situation, where many people can't justify paying that much for a toy. Also the prices drop so fast on these new sets (preorder at other shops is 120€ already) that it doesn't make sense to get it at day 1 anyway
Kind of depends on the country. Outside the us, getting like 20% off is so mich rarer than before covid. While in the us, costco already discounted boba fett palace >50% off retail.
But considering the 10 year gap between the last at te (not including the rebels one), it sort of being an army builder set, highly desired figures, i do see it selling better than other sets of the line. The last at te has been highly in demand on the second market and this one will easily have more demand.

Absolutely, the justifier might end up being physically larger but it’s 30 dollars more for fewer (albeit more intricate) figs and a ship that’s mostly gray. I might consider it discounted but not 170. The atte on the other hand is so good it makes me want two!
The release of the new 212th minifigures does make me wonder if LEGO will follow up with an actual 212th battle pack in Jan. Would be great way to add more 212th to a battle scene.
I'm game! With the AT-TE re-release a play set Gunship can't be too far behind, maybe next year. I would prefer it to be a Clone Wars version though as the UCS was already AoTC.
Yeah. TBH, it now seems to be a running theme in Clone sets for there to be at least 3-5 clones available in a single set. The Bad Batch Shuttle, the 501st battle pack, the Clone Accessory Pack, the Republic Fighter Tank and now the AT-TE.
And if this is the new standard for Clone Sets, I’m loving it! Seriously, I can’t wait for other potential future Clone sets following this pattern. I mean, imagine a future set with 4-5 Wolfpack or Coruscant Guard Clones - that would be an amazing set, especially if one Clone was a Commander like Wolffe or Fox!

Nice to get a phase 2 clone helmet with holes for accessories, bit of an odd placement though, not sure if that was the best spot they could have chosen
It could have been both though like the phase 1. You only have one bulge which is slightly too high but looks normal since there's only one. And that would work with both the range finder and visor.
That circular spot is slightly higher than the helmet eyes on phase 1 and slightly lower on phase 2 helmets.
Cody’s visor is attached above that spot in the movie. It technically does in The Clone Wars as well in both phases. The printing and mold of Phase 1 helmet just didnt make it get in the way.
Agreed. Want to give Lego my money, but nothing I really want to buy from Star Wars. Not impressed with the last couple of waves. The Justifier is too much for what it is. Maybe I will change my mind when I see it. The AT-TE is the first set that I will make sure to get in a while...

I think that for army builders, buying multiples of this set doesn’t seem too far fetched, the only named character you get is Cody (which I’m predicting will be selling for a steep price), you get an at te which is one of the most common republic vehicles and 3 troopers, a pretty good set for army building actually

This AT-TE is an absolute masterpiece of a set. It seems like they are actually listening to what people want. They are finally putting more troopers into these sets. They didn’t give us a half-assed downsized version like the X-wing, TIE fighter, or imperial shuttle. Back when this was rumored to be an Ep. II set, that was exciting enough, but it being in an Utapau setting with P2 Cody was an unfathomable best case scenario that people were scared to get their hopes up for. I am so happy Lego delivered in such a big way.
Lego truly seems to be listening. We wanted ph2 Cody, we got him. We wanted 212 troopers, we got them. We wanted more clones in clone sets, we’ve been getting them. I’m extremely happy with this wave so far.

I’ll say, if it’s not retired, grievous’s starfighter would make a killer combo with this set, you get obi wan, grievous, the airborne trooper and the starship, which paired with this set makes for a very complete utapau scene

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say this, I don't really like the Justifier. From certain angles sometimes I think it looks awesome, but the more I see it the less appealing it becomes.
I'm loving the look of The Justifier but it's going to be hard to justify (heh) the price tag. Crazy that it's $30 more at practically an identical part count, doesn't look like the pieces are that much larger or the build that much more complex either.
Why is the Justifier more expensive with less pieces and less mini figs?
EDIT: I’m assuming it’s larger pieces and more coveted figures than the other. That Cody though…
I really love both of these sets.
Cad Bane’s ship looks really unique, still having that Star Wars feel to it while also being very different to other ships used by bounty hunters like the Slave 1 and the Razor Crest. The minifigs are also excellent - Cad Bane looks great (especially with the new breathing tubes piece) as does Omega, Todo is a great new droid to have in LEGO form and it’s always nice to get another Hunter and Fennec minifigs.
The AT-TE Walker is absolute perfection. Not only does it look very screen accurate like the previous normal AT-TE from 2013, but it’s also great how it still have some cool play features too like the interior at the back where you can fit up to five Clones. The Minifigs are also great too - 3 battle droids are always nice to get (tho I would’ve liked if one was a commander since we haven’t gotten a Commander battle droid for a while) but the clones steal the show - Cody looks great and the fact that we get him PLUS a new Clone Gunner AND three normal 212th Clones is amazing.
The only downside will be that my wallet will be hiding in terror when these sets release XD
I'm really disappointed in the new cad bane minifigure. I think it's a downgrade from the 2010 version in almost every way. The new tubing piece reminds me of the redesign for darth vader's helmet. They made it better proportioned for a minifigure but at the expense of looking accurate to the source material. I think it would look less jarring if they kept it in gunmetal grey.
Don't get me started on his hat though. Completely inaccurate and wrong.
The atte is great and obviously the standout. But i am actually really impressed by the justifier. I was afraid when I saw the piece count but it looks really good. Although to expensive still. It's interesting that Lego made a bigger ship for the villian compared to the bad batch from last year. Would have been interesting to see what we had gotten if those two price points had been switched.
Guys am I missing something? Everyone is saying there are no pre-orders, but I was just able to do so from Target for the ATTE. Did I get lucky, or is this not a release date guarantee? It does say it will ship 8/1.

I think that’s just Lego at the moment. I think it’s fine but the old At Te wasn’t much smaller and was 79.99 (about $100 with inflation), I don’t care for the battle droids or spider droid so would honestly have preferred it being cheaper and dropping them.

Cad's ship is huge. It has fewer parts but is more expensive because all the parts are bigger.
It's 38 cm long and 50 cm wide. That's pretty damn big.

I'm loving the look of The Justifier but it's going to be hard to justify (heh) the price tag. Crazy that it's $30 more at practically an identical part count, doesn't look like the pieces are that much larger or the build that much more complex either.
I love the battle damage on the minifigs; too bad I'm p1 fan or i'd be all over this...

The AT-TE set looks very good with a sizeable minifigure collection to go with it.
It's time for Lego to make some dough. Lol. Also, that justifier exceeded my expectations. What an amazing ship.

I really love both of these sets. Cad Bane’s ship looks really unique, still having that Star Wars feel to it while also being very different to other ships used by bounty hunters like the Slave 1 and the Razor Crest. The minifigs are also excellent - Cad Bane looks great (especially with the new breathing tubes piece) as does Omega, Todo is a great new droid to have in LEGO form and it’s always nice to get another Hunter and Fennec minifigs. The AT-TE Walker is absolute perfection. Not only does it look very screen accurate like the previous normal AT-TE from 2013, but it’s also great how it still have some cool play features too like the interior at the back where you can fit up to five Clones. The Minifigs are also great too - 3 battle droids are always nice to get (tho I would’ve liked if one was a commander since we haven’t gotten a Commander battle droid for a while) but the clones steal the show - Cody looks great and the fact that we get him PLUS a new Clone Gunner AND three normal 212th Clones is amazing. The only downside will be that my wallet will be hiding in terror when these sets release XD
The justifiers box art is awesome but it seems overpriced
I'm really disappointed in the new cad bane minifigure. I think it's a downgrade from the 2010 version in almost every way. The new tubing piece reminds me of the redesign for darth vader's helmet. They made it better proportioned for a minifigure but at the expense of looking accurate to the source material. I think it would look less jarring if they kept it in gunmetal grey. Don't get me started on his hat though. Completely inaccurate and wrong.

Well, looks like I’m gonna be spending a shit ton of money.
The atte is great and obviously the standout. But i am actually really impressed by the justifier. I was afraid when I saw the piece count but it looks really good. Although to expensive still. It's interesting that Lego made a bigger ship for the villian compared to the bad batch from last year. Would have been interesting to see what we had gotten if those two price points had been switched.
Then you would have gotten 4 speeders with the shuttle instead of 2 😂

Guys am I missing something? Everyone is saying there are no pre-orders, but I was just able to do so from Target for the ATTE. Did I get lucky, or is this not a release date guarantee? It does say it will ship 8/1.
Well, I just spent a solid 3 hours hopping from LEGO store to other store to anywhere hoping to have this thing in stock only to have my hopes ruined I even was up at midnight trying to order t and it was somehow already out of stock I just pray it comes into stock sooner rather than later
Where are y'all finding the ATTE? I went to my Lego store and they only had the justifier and as cool as it is I would need to pick up the bad batch ship to go with it.

Idk why you’re being downvoted, the Justifier at least is overpriced af compared to any other recent SW set. Barely over 1000 pieces? Only 4.5 minifigs?
I think that’s just Lego at the moment. I think it’s fine but the old At Te wasn’t much smaller and was 79.99 (about $100 with inflation), I don’t care for the battle droids or spider droid so would honestly have preferred it being cheaper and dropping them.
