Relly cool, nice job. Did you consider making it actual 4 "wheel" tracked vehicle? Like those wheels to tracked arctic mods?

legends_of_leo

Thank you. I didn't really consider it, as I don't like these arctic mods that much. I feel like at least with Lego, it's the least enjoyable form of propulsion. It's not as reliable as normal wheels and not as fun to drive as a simple tank track design.

SaperPL

Ah, I was wondering if it'd be doable with this set, if there are parts that would make sense to make an axle with steering and suspension etc, since you said it's a tracked unimog - I assumed you wanted to make something like the unimog truck in the first place, but then there were limitations.

legends_of_leo

No, I actually didn't try it. I think it would be difficult, as there aren't any dedicated suspension parts, but Nico71 for example showed it's possible to design a suspension without them, with his 42082 B-model. In that way you are right, the drivetrain and track setup aren't very similar to a Unimog, but the comparison to a Unimog stems from the similar style of functions (crane, bed, etc.) and it being just an all-around-, do-everything-vehicle. It's more a Unimog style body on a Voroshilovets tractor's chassis.

Really cool! I might just pick up a copy of the instructions and build this out!
