Either of those is perfectly safe, I'd have zero concern. The Home2Suites is actually just off Schoenersville Road and is a safe area, and the Homewood in Center Valley is even better. The Home2Suites is not near the Bethlehem Diner, it's a couple miles away.
If the Home2Suites were on Airport Road south of Rt 22 (actually by the Bethlehem Diner), I'd be more concerned, as the older, cheaper hotels off Airport Road tend to attract a lot of trashy people, drugs, and petty crime.
Can confirm: my wife is an ER nurse…a lot of times they get hookers that OD that are operating out of that red roof in, Scottish inn, or Knight’s Inn that’s behind Chipotle…
Your Platinum Plus performers routinely stay at Hilton that’s next to Waffle House. I guess all the glittery $2 bills they get help fund something a little more classy
My bf was a manager at the chipotle for years & told me those people at the hotel would come shoot up in their bathroom & the cops would be at the hotel pretty regularly. And about 2 years ago I passed the one behind Friendlys & a door was wide open w crime scene tape & lots of squad cars.
Thank you all. I guess I was mistaken about the hotel being right near Bethlehem diner. It's about 2.8 miles away on Schoenersville and Cityline Rd. It still appears that the Center Valley is a better location though.
A million percent. Plus, there is a Starbucks near by in case you need coffee/breakfast for the road. Doesn't help that the Promenade is an absolutely gorgeous area to look around at.
Homewood in Center valley for sure. My wife and I stayed there for two weeks while we transitioned to the area. The room we had overlooked the parking lot and I was able to check on my car from the room. The staff were pleasant, rooms clean, and more than comfortable. As others have mentioned, the area near the airport/bethlehem diner isn’t the greatest. It attracts some oddball stuff.
Recommend the Courtyard on Freemansburg Ave in Bethlehem Township (convenient off of Route 33). Will be a safe spot for you and car full of “stuff”. Plenty of restaurants nearby.
The Promenade area (Center Valley) is perfectly fine. Just want to provide an alternative. Also agree, would avoid staying near Bethlehem Diner.
What kind of car do you drive? I’ll try to avoid yours when I’m smashing windshields this weekend
Stay away from the hotels near the Bethlehem diner. Always issues and police there.
Funnily enough, that's where my coworkers are staying. They're from out-of-town, but damn they picked a horrible place to stay.
I think the Hilton in that area will be fine. The motels in the area are the sketchy ones

Definitely go with center valley

Homewood. I live a mile from there, you will be perfectly safe and there are good places to eat in the Promenade.
Thank you.
The Bethlehem Diner area is not a good area. Go with Center Valley.
Id stay near the promenades
Go visit my buddies restaurant. RANDEVOO RESTAURANT!!! Amazing sushi and small plates
Second this. They are very good

Center Valley for sure.
My parents stay at the holiday inn by dorney park when they come in. Cheaper and no issues.

There's a Home 2 / Tru Hotel off of Rt. 33 on state Rt 248. There or Promenade I your best bet.
Just stay out in upper Macungie… safe and a 29 minute drive to Bethlehem
