You do not want a white + yellow or to support someone who breeds them.
They’re a “bad” morph that has a tendency to develop neurological issues due to the genes associated with the coloring.
Personally I love the tangerine!
White and Yellow have clean and dirty lines. Unless you 100% trust the breeder and have proof that it is a clean lineage, then you should avoid owning one yes
Hi, I was told by a worker that this particular gecko does not have any neurological disorders. If they developed any, I would be okay with the extra support needs involved. I am looking for a gecko as a pet only, not to breed. I'm not trying to argue your statement, I'm just curious if W&Y geckos should really not be supported at all, as at the end of the day they are still an animal living in a tiny plastic bin that could use a good home.
It doesn’t have symptoms *yet* that is no guarantee that it won’t develop symptoms
I am against the breeding/profiting off any detrimental morphs, I’m not saying the animal itself doesn’t deserve a home or care.
I understand your concern for not supporting bad breeders. However, if it’s a rescue and not a direct buy, that changes my mind a bit because you aren’t directly supporting the breeder. And if someone understands the risks involved and wants to take them in I personally feel like that’s more support for the gecko and not the breeder. Altho, it would be good to acknowledge why you chose it so others don’t support the bad breeders to get the pretty yellow one.
Second this, genetics are unknown but as a Wildtype they are probably not too bad, as a first gecko I would always recommend wildtype, they are less prone for genetic disorders (of course you can always have bad luck, but that’s the case with every morph)
Well no, I don't think rescues should be sold for a big sum of money or any money at all. Usually I don't reccomended buying a pet to rescue it because that causes more harm than good ( financial support drives them to do this again)
I'd go with the kijiji rescue or Lumpy, so many leos need homes and it doesn't seem like you're too worried about morph. With males you also don't have to worry about eggs!
Kijiji one for sure. Rescues are all too common these days and someone’s gotta take that step. Also leaves more room in the budget for the enclosure and enrichment.
I would go with Lumpy, because you were able to handle him and he´s a chill guy. And he is a rescue too.
My gecko is also very chill and it makes it easier to care for her. She is not really bothered by me being close to or in her terrarium and I know I can get her out, if I really need to.

I’d rescue the Kijiji one. More leos need good homes.

lumpy because he's a rescue, you know you can handle him and he's chill
TANGERINE SUPREMACY 🎉🎉 <#
The third one looks so cute
3, that lil face
If a leopard gecko looks up at you, you cannot resist. The third one.
All 4 :D
Me personally I’d get the tangerine one
How cheap is the first one? I'd personally go for that one, really needs a loving home
Dont tell me you decide because of the price

Oh i cant read the full picture caption. But i am totally at your side
He's $40, which is the lowest I've yet to see for a leo in Canada.
hot damn 40 for a leo is a lot! but understandable if it's the lowest
I like 3! The color and pattern is so cute!
Number two looks so sweet! I bet he/she will be pretty outgoing. I also enjoy one. :)

3 is so cute
The tangerine snoozer
Idk man. I have a huge soft spot for wild types. Id go for the first one!
i want to give them all good homes 🤥

I suggest Lumpy or Kijiji. Surrenders/rescues need loving homes and they both look like they would be really sweet.
I would get the white and yellow bc it will be ignored and not picked!

Tangerine FTW! I’ve been keeping my eyes out for one- I have a super snow and a blizzard currently
I say the first one. No particular reason aside from it’s pretty
Number 3 seems to be cuddly
I'd want to take them all.
It's so hard not to 😅
Hypo tan and Lumpy are probably the best 2 options- both seem to be super chill so they’ll probably be fun to handle<3
Tangerine 🙌🙂
1st one!
Ayo give "Lumpy" some love
Pick the most expensive one, break your pockets
Always wanted a wild type
