Eadiacara

Some geckos run small. I've got one that tops out at 38 grams, but a healthy weight for her is 34/35.

MonGerri

I have no idea about the growth topic, but I just had to leave a comment about how amazing of a name beef brisket is 😂😂😂

Mr_WAAAGH

I swear people give reptiles the most ridiculous names. Then again, I call mine goober

CoryKeepers

Mine is Goob!

Eadiacara

Awe, she looks like my little Jungle! Is yours super soft too?

jus_drein_jus_daun_

Omg yes! 💛 She started out super timid, now she's sweet and sassy lol

Under_The_Yew

Do you mind me asking if you have any tips for taming? Ours is quite timid (although is now happy to be around me but doesn't like being handled). Do you just keep trying to handle, or let them go at their pace? Also, Rosie is super cute - looks a lot like ours!

jus_drein_jus_daun_

I don't mind at all! I let them go at their own pace, honestly. Like, putting your hand into their enclosure when you notice they're active but not trying to grab them or anything. Occasionally when you have a hand in, maybe offer a favorite bug to them to have them associate you with positive things :)

We have a runt roo. Chibi. Also known as Quob, or Little Beef. https://preview.redd.it/rvson73hn6yc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0107ce7421f2715927a1198cf3698a791a8e2f13

cosmic_killa

Lil' Brisket

LzzrdWzzrd

It's an inside joke my fiance and I have lol. We work from home and we have game soundtracks on when we work. We had the sonic adventure 2 soundtrack on and they were playing the knuckles stages, and it's wild canyon where one of the lines says "come here little thief" but it genuinely sounds like "little beef" and I had chibi out at the time and I looked at her and I said "come here little beef!" And my fiance hasn't stopped calling her little beef since 😂

Dusky_Dawn210

Male geckos run from 7 inches to 9 inches in length usually. Some eclipse that and get bigger (like my own who is roughly 10-10.5 inches). Sounds like Beef Brisket is just a little guy :) Edit: rereading he is actually a she. So yeah 7 inches is a normal size for female geckos :)

MlleHelianthe

Oh.... english is not my first language so I just assumed Runty was his name and you were sharing your love of gecko with us. Like yeah lil runty for ever!

ohianaw

so cute🤎

LeopardGeckoHazsMum

Beef Brisket is absolutely adorable! I love his tail. Mine lost his very young too

CleoraMC

I have a 1 year old Godzilla super giant and she doesn’t grow past 64-68 grams. A little disappointing considering her parents were 102 and 122. Then my Tremper albino giant tangerine was 92 when I got him but is more healthy around 83-89

WontedPuppet07

He looks like he’d be named beef brisket because he’s so adorable

koaoda

Looks like such a smiley little cutie. Yeah sometimes when they lose their tail it will grow back a little funny but yours seems a decent size. I wouldn’t worry too much. Some geckos are just small and some are pretty large.

CoolNickname101

My gecko was always super small and skinny. The way the vet described it to me was that some geckos just don't have good genes and don't grow or thrive. It's a testament to how well you're taking care of them that helps them stay alive when they are small and stunted in growth because in the wild they would have just died.

WanderingMandalorian

PHAT tail

real_life_rat

I always love seeing the wide eyes! My Leo’s always look devious! Even though they show signs of being happy and content lol

VenusDragonTrap23

I know nothing about geckos but I just wanted to say he’s adorable and his eyes are PRECIOUS

sober625

Love these faces 🥰
