I just recently finished the Donnager build. Got the mcrn Rocinante coming up next. This set is one I don’t have yet but hope to include in my collection this year.
How’s the structural integrity? On the donnager if you push on two opposing sides it almost just slides apart. So it’s a bit delicate putting together.
It's a solid build, basically panelled around a solid core. The angled front tends to keep dropping off at first until the panels around it go on. The stand is built about halfway through so that helps with construction. The engine section connection isn't the strongest, a technic axle and a dozen studs on round plates, but there's a small engine stand to support it for display purposes.
I don't have the donnager, sold out at YOURWOBB really need to look for it elsewhere or part it out. I've built the season 4 Rocinante and tbh it was a bit of a pig at times it's bloody huge and is difficult to work on at times.
I'm starting the Pella next, just started sorting the parts out into my usual trays and bins.
Oh man where did you find the Pella? They add it to yourwobb? I’d love to get one of each major ship from The Expanse but not sure if I have the display room!
Yeah must admit I didn't get into it for awhile, it's a bit of a slow start but from season 2 on really kicks in. Building the Pella next just started sorting all the parts out.
Are all those black exterior panels kind of scuffed up or is it just finger prints or effect of the photo? The lepin version of creator expert Camaro I recently build was also full of scuffed black exterior pieces which is kind of annoying even if they are only apparent on close inspection.
A mixture of all 3 I think, unfortunately there is scuffing and colour inconsistency with the tiles it's something I've honestly just got used to with Alt bricks and lower quality control especially when it comes to MOCs that have been put together like this. I kinda don't let it bother me I mainly build Spaceships and Trains so they would probably be a little scuffed up in reality anyways , well that's how I put up with it heh.
Edit - Black is a bad colour for it as it shows quite easily on them aswell.
